Chapter 35: They Were Poor
Hayato was reading the reports when something caught his attention, and he looked at it calmly.
’How did my brother manage to pay off the entire debt?’
Hayato stood up and began walking around the office, deep in thought. His brother’s debt was very high, and he could not have paid it off easily, since the plan was to make Haru indebted to the family after he paid off part of the financial debt. But at that moment, a debt that would have taken years to pay off had been fully paid, including all the interest.
’His girlfriend must be rich!’ he thought.
He sat down, called a subordinate, and asked for all the information on Hina.
He continued reading the other reports and, at a certain point, he simply laughed. He was happy to know that the plan to attack the guild had already begun. All they had to do was activate all the magic items that were scattered throughout the dungeon.
Kazuma entered the room, and Hayato gave him a brief update on the entire plan. Kazuma seemed indifferent, though he still seemed happy about it and very curious about how Haru had managed to pay the amount owed. He knew his son well and knew about his gambling addiction. Something had changed, and he wanted to know what it was.
Hayato received all the information about Hina’s family and came to one conclusion, they were poor.
Haru was watching the earnings. He lowered his pants, and Hina began sucking his dick. She had a different technique, Mio was much more violent, while Hina sucked his dick like an older sister. She had fraternal care and affection, which was something confusing for Haru, since he did not get along very well with his brothers, nor with his younger sister. According to Hina’s beliefs, that was a waste of sexual experiences.
[Lucky Tongue Skill activated!]
She continued moving her tongue while Haru tried to make the bet with the same ODDs as the previous bets. He managed to reach an amount close to it, at least he thought so, because he had forgotten the amounts bet and what the ODDs had been. But it did not matter, he would give them both the same amount.
[You completed the challenge!!! Your class will be maintained!]
He came in her mouth. Hina made a movement with her tongue that made him shiver. She knew how to tease a man, especially if he was a pervert like her brothers.
The next day, Haru transferred five hundred thousand gold coins to each of them. That was much more than he had promised, but he wanted to be generous.
"What will we do today?" he asked Mio.
"We’re going to collect some meat slime crystals and test some situations in which your skill can be activated without effort, but we’ll do this without too much haste or pressure. We have to find a way to activate your skill whenever necessary. If the practical part doesn’t work, we’ll have to use some methods that you should have used from the day you received your class."
Haru thought about it. He did not know what she was talking about. Hina looked at him with an expression as if she had already talked about this. But what was it?
They entered the guild. They did not waste time with weaker monsters, they skipped the floors until they reached the ninth floor. Haru quickly took the pistol out of his pocket. He was a little stronger.

But he still needed three shots to kill the bats. Two shots were necessary to kill the meat slimes, but those monsters were left to Mio. Hina tested a new way of using the buff. She activated it, and he only needed two shots to kill the bats, while he still needed two to kill the meat slimes.
’She’s much better than she was a few days ago.’ Haru was happy about it and, at the same time, felt a little bad, since he seemed stagnant because of pure laziness.
"Did any system notification appear?" Mio asked.
"None, it’s still the same. I don’t know what we did that time."
"Let’s wait a little longer. For now, let’s focus on increasing the ammunition for the pistol and shotgun, because we’ll need a lot of bullets for the challenge. Don’t use the skill to duplicate items, let’s wait for the best moment to use that skill."
Hina used another skill. She reduced fatigue. This time, part of the fatigue remained, but, this way, she could use it more times, which was better than reducing it completely and being unable to use it for a few hours.
’She’s much better!’
Haru stopped worrying about his own incompetence and continued firing. He was making some different movements. He had watched some Western movies and learned some new moves. All of them were useless in combat, but they were movements that had some charm.
He took the opportunity to improve his aim. Little by little, he was becoming more accurate. Before, he would miss some shots against moving monsters, but now he missed much less, and the shots were now hitting more critical areas, such as the head and heart. Before, he fired randomly, and most of the shots hit areas such as the leg and arm. Although a single shot was capable of killing a monster, shooting at more sensitive areas was much more useful for immobilizing a monster, especially one that was not part of a dungeon.
Dungeon monsters followed a different rule. They could even bleed, but when they died, all the blood and the monster’s body disappeared, and drops appeared in their place. Furthermore, these monsters had a limited amount of health. If an attack exceeded their health, the monster died.
These rules did not exist in remote regions. Sometimes, a weak attack could kill a monster if the attack struck the heart. However, the attack needed to be strong enough to overcome the monster’s defense and reach the heart.
Furthermore, when monsters died, their bodies remained in place. The crystals had to be removed from the dead body, and the other drops remained beside the body. Therefore, it was recommended to use collection items, which, in this case, could quickly remove the crystal from the monster’s body.
Therefore, learning to shoot better was the best option for anyone who wanted to enter real combat in areas that had been conquered by the Abyss.
