"So what’s the name of the town?" Ren asked as he flew through the air. Lia, Luna, and Fang sat on his back, while Riker and Ezra flew beside him. They had left Remu and Ragna to take care of things as they left.

Count Liam had left Raven Town because he had other issues to attend to, but he made it clear that he would be coming back as soon as he was done. He wanted to get to know Ren more, which was a coded language for he wanted to investigate and keep an eye on the dragon.

Ren had no issues with that, though. It was what came with being a dragon that had showed itself to the people. Humans and monsters already could not coexist easily, and now they were coexisting with a dragon that was pretty powerful, to say the least. It was not an easy thing to overlook.

"It’s Oden, one of the towns that was attacked and the closest to us. It’s also pretty large compared to ours. It had the favor of the Count’s family and has been able to develop and grow further over the years," Lia explained, and she grabbed his scale to ensure that she did not fall off.

"I see, so it’s that type of place. That means there will be a lot of people who are loyal to the Count there. We do not want to be spotted. They will surely report to him if they see monsters," Ren said.

"That’s the least of your worries. They would probably attack or flee when they see you. So the disguises will be very much needed. I won’t need one because no one there knows I have taken over as Baron," Lia explained calmly.

"Master, what is the need of hiding ourselves if we know that these people are now spiders that are living inside the bodies of humans?

If we went in, they would definitely not tell, to not pull attention to the town as well. They would not want the Count’s people here," Ezra pointed out.

"That’s one way to look at it," Ren replied, "but these monsters are trying their best to replicate human life, and the closer they get to that, the better it gets for them. So if doing this would help them get more human, I believe that they will be willing to do it," Ren explained.

"That, and also the fact that we still need to be careful regardless. We cannot make any guesses or plans like that until we are sure about the case. So when we land there, we will know what to do," Lia explained.

The town soon came into their sight after the forest. It was larger than Raven Town. It looked pretty good and beautiful from up there.

Ren flew down immediately and transformed back into a human. They all proceeded to wear some large cloaks over their bodies, except for Luna and Lia, who did not need it.

"The town has a wall," Ren stated, "so make a distraction for us, and while you two do that, we will go over the walls fast and get into the town." Ren made a quick makeshift plan on how to get in without having the guards start asking them to take off their hoodies and see who was under them.

Everyone agreed to one plan, and then Lia and Luna moved first, heading to the town. There were not a lot of people entering the town at the moment, so the guards were able to check them.

At that same time, the others moved at top speed and leaped over the walls. One of the guards turned and looked at the walls after sensing something, but there was nothing there, so he turned his eyes back to them.

They got done with the guard and got into the town with no issue. Ren and the others were already waiting for them. They moved into the town fast. It was far larger than Raven Town and pretty much bustling with life. It was a crazy thought to imagine that this entire town right now was simply spiders walking in the bodies of humans.

"If they are all spiders, then this is seriously crazy," Riker stated as they walked.

"Keep your voice down. We don’t need them knowing that they have been discovered. That would be far too much trouble to face now," Ezra said.

"Luna, use your eyes and tell me what you see," Ren asked Luna. She paused and then used her eyes, scanning around the place, and immediately her face shifted into one of shock, extreme shock.

"They... they are everywhere, every one of them," she said, stepping back subconsciously.

"Everyone?" Riker asked in shock.

"This is not good at all," Ren replied.

Suddenly, as if hearing what they had been discussing, the head of one of the townsmen snapped in their direction, and then his eyes glowed red.

"Shit, he might have figured it out," Silas said. The man dashed in their direction at full speed, moving faster than a normal human would be able to. He lunged at them, but Silas intercepted faster, unleashing a wind blade that slashed right through his chest, a deep cut that caused blood to gush out.

The man slammed into the ground with immense pain, but only a few seconds later, he got back on his feet and then dashed again. At the same time, several more townspeople turned to look at them and then charged at them.

"Sigh, seems we can’t go undercover. Let’s back away," Ren said and stepped forward before using gravity. The purple beam fell from the sky and slammed into all of them, pushing them to the ground.

"Let’s move. We are not leaving the town, but we have to hide," Ren said, and they all immediately moved while more and more townsmen chased like wild beasts trying to kill them. Some had even started breaking out of their human forms.
