29-Years-Old Bachelor Was… Brought to a Different World to Live Freely

Episode 56 - I've Sold Fights to the Centaurs

Gandil is a city created on the border between the Kingdom of Karendil and the Kingdom of Geppelus. Out of the city gate on the side of the kingdom of Calendir is the territory of the kingdom of Calendir, and out of the city gate on the side of the kingdom of Geppelus is the territory of the kingdom of Geppelus. Then when asked which city Gandhir belongs to, one resident says the Kingdom of Karendhir, and one resident says the Kingdom of Geppelus.

I thought it was a nasty city, but when it comes to taxes and governance, officials from both countries are doing well with the help of commercial guilds. In essence, this city may be referred to as the dominated city of commercial guilds.

Come on, it's such a Gandhir city, but now it's haunting my head with two problems.

One is that the caravan won't come.

Not only does this mean that the caravan of the Kingdom of Geppelus will not come, but it also means that the caravan that went from the Kingdom of Karendyl to the Kingdom of Geppelus will not return. I paid an idiotically high fee to the Adventurer Guild to confirm it, and found that it was stopped by the Geppelus Empire when it came to the caravan that wouldn't come back.

They gave instructions in a commercial guild to go do business with the Kingdom of Misscronia as far as the caravans who couldn't come back because they had no choice.

The other is the problem of refugees in Centaur.

This was apparently a matter of concern since the beginning of the skirmish between the Kingdom of Geppelus and the Centaurs. That began to manifest itself at the same time as the Great Flood began.

Now they are sitting outside the walls of Gandil, setting up many tents on the land on the side of the Kingdom of Geppelus. But there aren't many monsters around Gandhir to prey on, and there aren't many caravans coming, so they don't have much work to do, and they're pretty much stuffed. Some brag that it's the Centaurs who are making it impossible for the caravan to come and go, and they say there's constant trouble over whether depression is getting to each other.

"Well, that's the way the city is."

"I see. What purpose does the Kingdom of Geppelus have in the end and he's dealing with Centaur?

"Until what the Geppelus kingdom thinks of boulders... you can't measure up in a merchant like me"

"Two extra short swords"

I say that with a sigh and a nasty grin in front of me pig - not Gandhir's merchant guild leader with two fingers up to show.

Well, why are you meeting with the Guild Manager of the Gundil Commercial Guild right now?

After that, me and Marr, who broke up with them after asking Tida where the Centaurs were, were visiting the commercial guild on those feet. Because I thought it would be best to hit that tight if we were to gather reliable information in this city with lots of merchants.

I showed the Commercial Alliance reception the brand new Servel I had mass-produced during the flood and asked to meet with the Alliance Director of the Commercial Alliance.

I hear in the commercial guild of the kingdom of Calendyl that the transcendental quality weapons I circulated via the zontark old man in the kingdom of Calendyl have been fairly talked about in commercial guilds everywhere.

At my request, that weapon should have been exported to the Kingdom of Geppelus, so I thought this city, which is the main shock of the deal, would have gone through as well. I'm sure it must be a product you want to get so much that you can get your hands off your throat in any commercial guild. I thought about it that way and used it as bait. As you can see, I was absolutely right.

So, I'm using stock accommodation as a weapon to pull information from the guild leader, not the pig.

"Oh, but there's a rumor... I think I'll be able to remember it in a little while"

Already at the moment, I have supplied my made Sabel Quadruple, Short Sword Quadruple. The market price would already exceed 50 gold coins. I want to refrain from taking any more out because releasing too much in bulk could cause a price collapse. I mean, no matter how much information is valuable, it would be too much of a blur. Is it time to tighten it up?

"Guild leader, by the way. Do you know Viscount Siden?

"Hmm? Is it Viscount Siden of the Kingdom of Misscronia? Yeah, I know. You are ruling a territory close to the border with the Kingdom of Geppelus."

"Yes, what about that Viscount Siden missing now?

He rides himself out all the time and smiles briskly to show off. Never a nigga.

"... that's your first ear"

"I visited his territory the other day, but I didn't see him... he disappeared neglectfully without leaving any trace of anything. As you know, he has territory near the border. The dwellings were robust enough to stand even in times of conflict and were heavily guarded. But he disappeared neglectfully without anyone noticing."

"Well, that's a strange story,"

A grinning pig with a blue face - from the Alliance leader's face, the previously exasperated appearance had disappeared. Yeah, it's not a good idea to be too greedy. We're shipping, you pig.

"Don't you? Well, by the way, what were you talking about? I think it was the aim of the Geppelus kingdom against Centaur."

"Well, you did...... I hear that rumor tells me that it is led by Prince Wang. You really have to go through the territory of the Centaurs when dealing with the kingdom of Calendyl and the tribes of the Great Forest. In fact, in doing so, there is a promise since the founding that the Kingdom of Geppelus will pay the Centaurs and the others an amount that will hit 10% of their luggage. Rumor has it that Prince Wang, who hated it, plotted to eliminate the Centaurs."

"What is that... what the hell is that promise?

"Uh, I'm sure it was about five hundred years ago when the Kingdom of Geppelus was founded. I'll break it all down, but the early story is that the Kingdom of Geppelus made a huge debt to Centaur when it was founded. The western plains of the Geppelus kingdom were recognized as the territory of Centaur, and the Centaurs escorted them on the road during the deal, and the Geppelus kingdom paid Centaur ten percent of the profits from the deal."

The guild leader even sums up the main points. This guy's a pig with a sticky skin of greed, but he's a pig who can. Let's drop off the shipment.

But 10%, 10%. Ten percent of them are big. Besides, it was a promise made when the country was founded. Hmm. How papparapper was the founding king at the time, or was that all Centaur owed?

"Apart from the moral issue, I don't know how you want to get rid of Centaur. Apart from moral issues."

"Well, yeah,"

"Right."

Me, the guild chief and Marl will look at each other and nod.

'Cause you, even if you're under the responsibility of escort, you can't do something like take 10% of your trade interests outside of the kingdom of Missclonia with a mold-grown promise five hundred years ago. How much will it cost you in one year?

I'd like to decide I wasn't there for Sakuri and Centaur, even though I don't think I was. Instead, I've been defending it for five hundred years. Shouldn't I give admiration for the courtship of the Kingdom of Geppels?

No, I don't know what kind of interaction has actually taken place between the Centaurs and the Kingdom of Geppelus. The Kingdom of Geppelus may not have paid honestly, or the Centaurs may not have been satisfied with the amount offered and were trying to take profits from the covenant as a shield.

The kings and treasurers of the historical kingdom of Geppelus would have thought this.

'Why did you make such an agreement! Say it!'

Holy shit. And I think I wanted to strangle the Founding King as I said it. I think so, too. Whatever you think, it's only gonna be a later remorse and the burden is too big.

"Well, lay aside the way you do it or whether it's moral or not, the Kingdom of Geppelus - or the Prince Wang wants to erase Centaur, I know exactly why"

That's why I take my seat.

In the meantime, I understand the circumstances on the part of the Kingdom of Geppelus. All we have to do is do something about the Centaurs.

The camps of Centaur and the others presented a true picture of refugee camps, etc. Crude tents made of matching cloth and waste materials, Centaur's and the others who sit still to withstand hunger or solidify. Overall, I am not lively.

Few people seem to be injured or sick, but from what I can tell, it also seems like a matter of time before the disease begins to spread. It would be natural for gaze to be gathered on the two strangers who appeared flustered in such a situation. Besides, they both carry weapons on their hips.

"Wait, what can I do for you, human? This is our territory, Centaur."

Naturally, or somehow, the armed Centaurs flew right in and who did what. An armor that would probably be made of demonic leather and an iron spear to the pattern as well as the tip of the ear. Heavy, expensive weapon again, but Centaur handles that iron spear lightly.

"I'm here to sell you guys a fight"

"What!?

A particularly young, bloodthirsty one among armed centaurs turns his hyena-like hair upside down. The other Centaurs have seeped their anger and stared, but the magnificent Centaur, who leads the armed Centaurs, raised one hand without a spear in his hand and silenced the other Centaurs.

"I'm here to sell a fight, it's not calm. You and I are supposed to meet for the first time. Why are you fighting with us? You think I'm here to destroy our Centaur under the orders of the Kingdom of Geppelus?

"Ainya. Either way, I'm hated by the Geppelus kingdom. I'm just trying to scratch a lot from the side."

So I waved my arm and took the luggage out of storage.

Flour in bags, baked tight bread, dried vegetables in dried meat, dried fruit, barrels with ale or wine or water, fuel and large pans, clean cloths and blankets, solid tents… Now everything missing from this refugee camp is spit out of storage and piled up like a mountain.

"You say you can't fight when you're hungry. Besides, you must be worried about hungry women and children and you can't help yourself. Fill your hunger, thirst and heart first. Fighting starts with that."

The magnificent Centaur gazed at the supplies springing up like hot water one after the other, but he hacked into my words and stared me in the eye. I don't know what you read out of my eyes, but it just seemed to loosen my cheeks slightly for a moment.

"... gather the women and prepare to cook."

"What? Ha!

The Centaurs, who were gathered here at the behest of the magnificent Centaurs, scatter in three ways. The camp seems to be getting progressively more vibrant.

"Never mind...... I am Penelope of the Shumel tribe. I'm the leader of this group."

"It's Tysi-Mitsuba. Titles vary... but now I think I'm the new American lord."

"I'm Marriel-Blanc-Misscronia. I haven't had a wedding yet, but I'm Mr. Tysi's wife. Call me Marl."

Penelope's eyes wide open when he heard the name of me and Marl. I can think of a few thoughts that would surprise me, but, well, I don't mind any of them. It doesn't make any difference what we're going to do.

"It would be best if we could do something with the discussion...... hey Lord Penelope. Lord Penelope would be the leader here. Can you abandon your revenge for the Kingdom of Geppelus?

"That would be... difficult. My fellow countrymen, including myself, have been murdered by the Kingdom of Geppelus."

Right... I don't even think I can give up revenge if someone kills me inside at their one-sided convenience.

"Didn't you have anything to do with the discussion before that happened?

Penelope laughed bitterly at Marr's words.

"It must have been difficult...... the land in the western plains is lean, rainy, and unsuitable for farming. Even if you plow it and make soil, it gets flushed by the occasional heavy rain. Besides, livestock production seems to have developed remarkably recently in the Kingdom of Geppelus, making livestock less marketable than before. We couldn't concede 10% of our commitments."

I'm not an expert, so I'm not sure how hard it is to make soil improvements. However, I can imagine to some extent how hard it would be to dig up soil and mix fertilizers and all that and try to keep the soil from getting flushed by heavy rain... and do that by hand.

Even if I cheated on a dirt wizard, it would be a lot of work. The Centaurs, who would not have the expertise to do that on their own......

"Um, it'll be hard. Well, I can't help but say something about the past. Think about what's coming."

"Right, what we're going to do is important. Mr. Penelope, how many of you are all young and old together now?

"Under the influence of the Kingdom of Geppelus and the demons of the Great Flood, many men and women, both men and women, have lost their lives. Now there are about sixty warriors and ninety inexperienced apprentices and old but able to fight. Eighty or so who are of weight or old and unable to fight. About forty kids can't even fight yet. That's about two hundred and seventy."

A lot - but less than I thought. As far as the map goes, it seemed quite extensive was the territory of Centaur, so I was wondering if it would lightly exceed five hundred, no matter how much it was worn out in battle.

By the way, the population of the current territorial capital is about a hundred beasts, less than twenty Arkenians and their spouses, about forty people of water, fairy tribes... they don't know very well. Maybe thirty, but every time I look at it, there's the one that's different in size or much stealthier. Twenty or so other ordinary human merchants and craftsmen who have pulled it out of approximation. Later, there are twelve women such as half a serpent Lamia and half a bird Harpi, crystal people with magic crystals in part of their bodies, twisted horns and small bat-like feathers on their hips, and night demons and dwarves with thin tails with pointy tips - the illegal slave women Viscount Saiden, for example, was imprisoned in a hidden basement. Together, it's about two hundred and twenty.

Don't let the population swell more than double at once.

You did it, Yamato! We'll have more friends!

A horse that can predominantly dispense with various supplies, dwellings, personnel, etc. about Marr and Tina's aides. The appearance of Yamato tearing much blood of joy floats in his brain. It's all right, Yamato, because at dawn when things go well, I'm gonna look out for a guy who feels good in Centaur and make him a colleague.

Our capital is literally turned around by horses who work like carriages.

"Okay. Well, let's do it right."

There's already too much blood, and I'm not even a party in the first place. Nor does it have the authority to have the parties discuss each other.

If we cannot persuade them, we will have to negotiate directly. Bet your life, tons of supplies, gold coins, that sort of thing.

So you can take the lead, and then you can pull him into the mound over here.

We will split up with Marr to go around the refugee camp and see the wounded and sick. Unexpectedly, there were quite a few injured but no sick people. Is it due to the tough health of the Centaurs? After listening to the treatment, apparently the livestock has been considerably reduced, but there are still quite a few.

They couldn't secure the bait and inevitably became precious food for the Centaurs when it came to crushing it. My heart starts to think I might get quite a few livestock as well. If you think you can get the Centaurs and the rest of them knowledgeable about livestock production, wouldn't this have been better than you thought?

Huh? You already think the Centaurs are gonna follow me?

That's right. Is this what I would do if I wasn't sure? And if you don't believe in yourself, you won't be able to do what you can.

"Well... I guess it's time"

It was after noon as I looked around a lot, cooked out and distributed supplies. From the inclination of the day, is it about 2: 00 to 3: 00 p.m.? Me and Marr were killing time after healing the injured by putting out chairs and tables somewhere that didn't seem to get in the way of the Centaurs, eating sandwiches they took out of my storage and doing a blitz of otherworld-style chess for a long time.

I haven't won a single one yet. Mr. Marr, you must be too strong.

"That's right. Oh, that's a check."

When I realized it, they were burying the outer moat and I couldn't move. It's always this pattern! Every time I think about it and hit it, too. Am I too one pattern or is Marl good at fitting in moulds... both?

Centaur and the others gather at the end of the view. It seems that all the Centaurs, young and old, who are in the refugee camps, have gathered.

Penelope, the leader, is, of course, also the figure of the young Centaur and Tida, who had been exasperated earlier. The little ones were innocently waving here at that time.

Me and Marl take a seat, throw something into storage at the table and face the Centaurs.

"I guess I calmed down, a lot."

"Consider it painful. As long as women and children are not satisfied with their meals and are sincerely ashamed of themselves. Together, we will never forget this grace."

That being said, when Penelope held hands in front of his chest and lowered his head, the other Centaurs held hands in front of his chest the same way and lowered their heads.

"What, if you listen to me now, I'll blow it like that... well, here I am and I said this to you guys. He said he was here to sell a fight."

Centaur and the others gather their gaze. Those with harsh expressions, those who expose their anger, those who are bewildered as to whether they should be angry or not, those who give anxious expressions, those who are faceless, those who are Kyoton, their expressions vary.

"I tell you not to wear clothes on your teeth, but I tell you, you guys are packed. Driven into areas with little prey, you cannot live on your own, and the kingdom of Calendyl cannot accept you. The road to the Kingdom of Misscronia will be deployed by the Royal Geppelus Army. The Great Forest, as you know, can't take the leftovers, and those over there still have a strong force of demons from the Great Flood. In the first place, I don't have enough strength or supplies to travel long distances. Slowly dying here, surrendering to the Kingdom of Geppelus, these two things are the only way you have."

Regardless of a child like Tida, centaurs over some age seemed to realize the fact. I was less upset than I thought.

"I'll give you a third option! I'll give you a new heaven and earth. Give them a safe bed to sleep in. Give them jobs to get food to live! Follow me, and I'll have everything I just said!

Put your hands together and spit out tons of supplies right next to me. That's enough for the Centaurs to spend a month if they cut it off. Luggage piles up more and more like mountains.

Finally, we put out a wooden box reinforced with an iron frame, and have the lid open on the marl to show the centaurs what's in it. The contents of the box are large quantities of gold coins. That number, five thousand.

The excitement and enthusiasm spread to the centaurs, who saw the glowing gold. Okay, okay, not a bad grasp. What I'm doing is mass fanning itself.

"Of course it's not just a delicious story. What a frigid story you guys are going to gain unilaterally, huh? First of all, you're going to have to abandon your homeland. It will be difficult to return to this vast meadow from New Heaven and Earth. In addition, you will be asked to abandon your vengeance towards the Kingdom of Geppelus. Well, what, I'll inherit everything about this guy. I was going to marry the King Prince who set you up, because he's scratching two princesses from the side of the Misclonian kingdom! And at the end of the day, you will recognize me as your king. You are obliged to serve me, and I am obliged to protect you from the Kingdom of Geppelus, from hunger and from the cold."

Centaur and the others started making a scene on purpose about my words. It's hard to throw away your hometown and your grudges. Above all, it would be an unscrupulous story to ask me to be the king that I just met today. Of course I know that.

"So back to the first story. Wouldn't it be so easy to drink a suggestion like this? That's why I came to sell the fight. You bet yourselves. I bet my life, tons of supplies, and five thousand of these gold coins. What do you say?"

That's what I said, and I smiled furiously.
