"Young master, do you want to go back to the villa to rest for a bit?" Yao looked at the slightly tired Dan Tingye and reminded him respectfully.

"No need, go straight to the company."

Dan Tingye drew back his gaze from the direction of the apartment and spoke coolly.

As soon as he finished, he leaned back against the rear seat and closed his eyes to pretend to nap.

"Yes."

Yao didn’t say anything more and drove quietly.

When the car stopped, Yao turned his head and realized that Dan Tingye had already fallen asleep, leaning against the back seat.

Just as he was hesitating about whether to wake him up, he saw Dan Tingye open his eyes. He just froze for a second, then got out of the car as if nothing had happened.

He walked a few steps forward, suddenly stopped, and turned back to look at Yao.

"Mr. Yao, about what happened yesterday, I don’t want my dad to know." His voice was very low and deep, without threat and without anger, just a very flat sentence, carrying a faint hint of request.

Yao was someone Dan Hanjie had assigned to him. Even though he had never brought it up, he knew very well what Dan Hanjie’s purpose was in leaving Yao at his side.

Aside from assisting him, more importantly, it was to watch him, to keep him from acting on youthful impulses and going astray.

In other words, Dan Hanjie left Yao by his side to supervise him.

Naturally, whatever he did, Yao would report it truthfully to Dan Hanjie.

"Now that I follow you, Young Master, of course I’ll be on your side. Aside from matters that endanger Dan Group, I wouldn’t dare say more than I should in front of Mr. Jie. Please rest assured, Young Master."

Yao paused, then hurriedly bent down.

"Thank you." Dan Tingye lowered his eyes and headed toward his own office.

He had just reached the front desk when the secretary hurried up to report.

"President, Young Master Jiang Nan is here, waiting for you in your office."

"..."

Jiang Nan? What’s he doing here so early in the morning?

Dan Tingye’s brows knitted. "Got it."

Before he even reached the office, the door to his office swung open from the inside.

"Bro, I’ve been waiting for you forever!"

"What is it?"

Dan Tingye glanced at him, took off his suit jacket and tossed it aside, then walked to his desk and sat down, reaching up to loosen his tie.

"That’s my line—I should be asking you that!"

Jiang Nan leaned forward over the desk, his narrow peach blossom eyes roaming up and down Dan Tingye. "Bro, be honest with me. You didn’t go home for the whole night yesterday, where did you go, and you even changed your clothes!"

"..."

"Don’t try to deny it. I went to your room to wait for you last night, and I waited the whole night without seeing you. First thing in the morning I see Mr. Yao going back to the villa to get clothes for you."

As Jiang Nan spoke, he reached out, trying to look at Dan Tingye’s neck.

He’d heard that if you did something bad, you usually couldn’t help leaving some kind of mark on your body.

"Smack—"

Jiang Nan’s hand had just reached over when Dan Tingye slapped it away, hard.

"What kind of trash do you keep in that head of yours?" Dan Tingye shot him a fierce glare. The image of Meimei clutching his arm and cuddling it in her arms flashed through his mind, and the tips of his ears involuntarily burned, even his breathing grew heavier.

"See, see, see—if there’s nothing going on, why are you so guilty, even your expression changed!" Jiang Nan looked like he’d discovered a new continent, so excited he almost bounced right off the desk.

His bro! He was a famously cold and aloof male god. Don’t even mention getting close to girls—if someone so much as brushed against him, he’d pull a long face, like he and women were sworn enemies in a past life.
