It seems that Bai Zheng hasn’t sheltered her excessively but has taken her on various travels. Meimei’s courage has grown significantly; ever since she has had her father, there’s not a shred of timidity left in her.
"Tingye, I’m full, why aren’t you eating yet?" Meimei put down her chopsticks, picked up a napkin to wipe her mouth, and looked in confusion at Dan Tingye, who hadn’t touched his food.
He wasn’t hungry, so why was he here eating with her?
"Why don’t you live at Grandpa’s house? You haven’t returned in all these years, and he’s really missed you. At the Ye Family Villa, there are people to take care of you." Dan Tingye picked up the milk, drank it all in one gulp, and then put down the cup, speaking mildly.
Meimei was taken aback, shaking her head gently, "I’m afraid if Dad doesn’t agree to let me stay at that time, Grandpa would be even more disappointed."
Besides, she’s grown up and can take care of herself better, living in the apartment is more free.
"Stop always thinking about others; sometimes just following your heart leads to the best outcome." Dan Tingye said somewhat ambiguously, and without waiting for a response, he took her hand and walked out of the restaurant.

Jiang Nan and Youyou were waiting early, and upon seeing the two finally arriving, they hurriedly met them.
"Brother, why did it take so long to pick someone up? We’re almost late, and Meimei still needs to handle enrollment procedures." Jiang Nan glanced at his watch, knitting his brows.
They’re running out of time; they can’t be late together as it would draw too much attention.
"You two go to class first, I’ll accompany Meimei to handle the procedures. After all, I’ve just done the same process a few days ago and I’m quite familiar with it." Youyou smiled as she walked up and grabbed Meimei’s hand.
Jiang Nan watched as she took her away, raising his eyebrow in displeasure, "Sure, not only did you finish the procedures, but you also brazenly challenged my brother in front of the whole class, and then you lost terribly."
"Meimei, let’s go. Just seeing him makes me angry!" Youyou’s little face immediately turned angry, pulling Meimei towards GW.
"Brother, are you really comfortable letting Youyou take Meimei to handle the procedures? I’m truly worried that if Meimei stays with that little one too long, she might become as violent as her?"
Jiang Nan watched the backs of the two with worry, wanting to follow them if Dan Tingye hadn’t remained silent.
Dan Tingye glanced at him, closed his eyes and began to walk towards the campus.
His knee hadn’t recovered yet, causing his walk to be slow, but nothing seemed amiss, and each step was extraordinarily steady.
He had already asked Yao to handle Meimei’s enrollment procedures. Having her go to the teaching office was merely in hope of a teacher accompanying her to the classroom.
Meimei and Youyou are both students skipping grades; without a teacher leading them to class, they might face exclusion.
But these concerns, he doesn’t share with Jiang Nan.
"Brother, are you sure having Meimei attend the business school with us is helpful? What if Mr. Bai is not pleased and still takes her away? You need to have a backup plan, just in case!"
Jiang Nan couldn’t wait for his answer, reluctantly chasing after him again.
"Do you have a better plan?" Dan Tingye stopped in his tracks, turning his head to look at him coldly.
Jiang Nan instantly recoiled, "I don’t, just not at ease. Meimei struggled to come back, I’m just worried she might be taken away again."
"I won’t let her leave again." Dan Tingye closed his eyes and quietly replied.
The tone of his voice was mild, yet carried an indefinable certainty.
