Stepping forward, Yao tore open Jiang Nan’s shirt.

His chest was indeed red, but fortunately, the soup had cooled down, and the burn wasn’t severe, just slightly red.

Meimei exhaled softly, "Jiang Nan, quickly change your clothes and rinse your body with cold water. After drying off, I’ll help you apply some burn ointment."

"Okay..."

Jiang Nan stared blankly at her small face, not having looked enough before feeling a chill on his back, hurriedly buttoning up his shirt and rushing to the bathroom.

Once everything was tidied up and he returned to the dining room, the dishes were already cold.

Jiang Nan, having been splashed with soup and startled, and after going through cold water... looked like a wilting eggplant, slumped listlessly in the chair.

"I’ll have the kitchen prepare everything anew," the butler glanced at the dishes on the table, bowed respectfully, and prepared to leave.

"Wait, no need to trouble anyone, it’s so late, I’ll cook spaghetti for them," Meimei said, first glancing at the exhausted Jiang Nan.

Upon hearing Meimei would personally make pasta for him, his eyes lit up.

Meimei then looked at Dan Tingye, noticing his eyes first brightened and then his face slowly darkened, as if he remembered something.

"Tingye, don’t you like pasta?"

"I do." As long as she made it, he liked it, though he didn’t appreciate others sharing this privilege with him.

"Then I’ll go cook, you guys wait a bit, I’ll be quick." Meimei stood up from the chair and quickly went into the kitchen.

In the dining room, only Dan Tingye and Jiang Nan remained, with Meimei out of sight, and Jiang Nan immediately slumped back, feigning death again on the chair.

Dan Tingye sat across from him with a mysterious expression, his long fingers intentionally or unintentionally tapping the table, emitting "tap, tap" sounds like a countdown to doom, eerily penetrating the still dining room.

Recalling everything that happened earlier, Jiang Nan suddenly felt a chill wash over him, shrinking his neck abruptly.

"Bro, is it that I’ve upset little Youyou and you’re not happy?"

Jiang Nan thought for a long time and finally deduced a reasonable explanation for tonight’s mysterious events.

"..."

Dan Tingye’s deep, dark eyes flashed slightly, lifting his head slowly to give him a brief glance.

He said nothing.

His silence was instantly interpreted as agreement, and Jiang Nan hurriedly explained.

"Bro, I admit I had some run-ins with Youyou, but you know she’s Mr. Diwu’s daughter. I couldn’t really hit her, just sparred with her all night. Her leaving had nothing to do with me."

"What are you two talking about?"

Meimei carried two plates of spaghetti from the kitchen, curiously asking.

With the three of them, she could only carry two plates at a time, leaving one still in the kitchen.

Jiang Nan immediately stood up from the chair, "I’ll go help."

He felt safer eating hidden in the kitchen, avoiding misfortune before having any pasta.

Jiang Nan had barely reached the kitchen door when Yao stepped hastily into the dining room, walking up to Dan Tingye, and reported respectfully.

"Young master, we just received news that Mr. Bai is returning."

"Bang—"

Meimei had just approached the dining table, hearing these words, she nearly crashed into the table.

Staring in shock, "Mr. Yao, what did you just say?"

Was there another Mr. Bai she knew?

"Your father has booked a flight for tomorrow, should arrive early morning."
