4.6 Billion Year Symphony of Evolution

Several ersh years passed after the Desolation Vortex dismantled the Devouring Star.

The Star of Eating Things did not die because of this, because the Vortex established an 'ecological garden' in a city.

The body pieces that were cut off from the Star of Eating Things were placed in the ecological garden for observation and research.

In this process, the Devouring Star behaved like a plant, just by throwing some resources or something on its surface, it would absorb these resources and grow various different structures.

These structures are not as monotonous as just roots as before, but all kinds of structures with rich colors and different forms.

Because the barren vortex is also a creature that can sense light, they also see the rich colors.

After the civilized creatures hiding on the Devouring Star were captured by the Desolate Vortex, they soon noticed that the creature had a high level of intelligence and kept trying to communicate with it.

The civilized creature arrived at the Ecogarden of the Devouring Star, which wasn't very far from where it lived.

After entering the ecological garden, it found that it became a ...... visiting point for anyone who came to visit the Phage Star.

At that time, the Star of Eating Things had not yet grown any strange structures, it was just like a layer of carpet that was spread on the ground.

So there were not a lot of visiting barren vortexes, and the civilized creature just stayed here and watched the Star of Eating Things ...... After a while, it suddenly developed a feeling.

It felt that it wanted to continue to travel with the Devouring Star.

But it quickly thought of a way, so after that the civilized creature went to some of the places like the ...... library of the Star of Eating Things.

Of course it couldn't read the 'words' of these barren vortexes, but it knew it was something to store information on.

The civilized creature took some of the 'books' to the Devouring Star and tried to give it to the Devouring Star to absorb.

But it found that the Devouring Star would not absorb these 'books', but it soon thought of another way.

It started to go to the ...... corpse.

The Desolate Vortex would pack the dead kind into crates, then gather these crates together and carry them away in a flying machine, dropping them into the giant cave.

However, these boxes usually accumulate for a long time before they are transported out, and because the Desolation Vortex is not very squeamish about the look of death, these corpse boxes are usually stacked in the corners of the city.

Then, the civilized creature went and found these corpse boxes and found a corpse from it and brought it to the Devourer Star there.

It was able to take it out so easily because there were many small individuals in the desert vortex.

These small individuals are not their young, but just grow very small ...... The average Draconic Vortex is about the same size as a civilized creature, and these small ones are only a tenth of that.

The civilized creatures brought these bodies to the Devouring Star, and the Devouring Star absorbed and decomposed these bodies.

But at the earliest, it did not change anything.

The civilized creatures conducted various tests again, trying to make the Devouring Star understand the technology of the Desolate Vortex to see if it could possibly escape from here, but in the end they all failed.

It was only after the civilized beings had given up trying for some time that the Star of Eating Things began to grow various special structures.

Of course, the Devouring Star did actually obtain information about the Desolate Vortex from the corpses brought by the civilized creatures.

But all of the civilized creature's movements were noticed by the vortex, even if it felt unnoticed.

The Devouring Star knows this, so although it acts as if it will absorb the corpse, it does not undergo any changes because of it until the civilized creature gives up and it slowly begins to produce changes.

In this way, it looks like its changes have nothing to do with the corpse.

But in reality these structures that grow out according to the aesthetics of the desert vortex are derived from the intelligence obtained from the corpse.

The civilized creature initially thought it made no sense, and only much later did it realize that it was its doing.

As the Star of Eating Things grew new structures, more and more desolate vortices came to visit it.

Slowly, these flower-like structures of the Star of Eating Things were brought to many cities, mostly as ornamental and collectible ...... others were used for research.

And to transport these structures, a lot of flying machines were needed.

Soon ...... some of the delivery craft malfunctioned.

Just as the civilized creatures thought, the Devourer Star did manage to escape from here.
