4.6 Billion Year Symphony of Evolution

The disaster called Stillness ...... is not over yet.

A civilization was soon in ruins.

The Vortex of Desolation was unable to respond to the shattered pieces that shot out because they were unable to activate their weapons, and certainly unable to respond to the shattered pieces that shot out.

These shattered pieces coming out of the vortex were the main reason for their civilization's prosperity, and now they are also the disaster that destroyed them.

Huge chunks of debris shattered the shells of floating cities, turning one into rubble.

By the time the storm of broken pieces was over, almost all the cities in the Desolation Vortex ...... had been destroyed.

Some cities survived, of course, and these were not harmed too much because they had floated farther away and had other cities to serve as shields for them.

But they also fell into a state of complete paralysis, almost all of their instruments, technical products and other things could not work ...... these cities living in the desert vortex was also completely trapped there.

It didn't take long for them to start attacking each other for food, and one after another, the vortexes died in the civil war.

In the end there were only a very small number of vortices left wandering in the cities, and they could no longer reproduce because their numbers were too small.

And they simply do not know how to reproduce other than the 'traditional reproduction' that gathers more than ten vortices.

So they can only wander in the once civilized cities, waiting for the extinction of their race.

There is another figure also wandering in the ruins, that is the civilized creature.

It was in a city that had been destroyed by huge pieces of debris, but it didn't die, it just kept wandering around like a ghost and looking for anything to feed on.

It eats mainly for the purpose of excretion.

Every time it eats excrement, it uses the excrement as a text to record everything that has happened, from the birth of its own civilization to the demise of the Deserted Vortex, all kinds of things in the past have been recorded by it.

At the same time it also has written down for the things to come ...... including what will happen later.

The particle creature also found in the observation that this time the disaster seems to have just begun.

There have been some mass extinction events in the normal void, and this ...... can be said to be an extinction event in the solidified void.

But even so, it could not see the inside of the cave.

So it turned its attention to the void in the distance.

The Vortex of Desolation had previously sent out an expedition to find those creatures with 'constructing abilities'.

The direction they went to was one that had always been more familiar to them, in fact they had often run outside before, and they had encountered many creatures outside.

Of course they have not encountered creatures with 'constructive abilities'.

But they knew of an ecological zone with more creatures, and they thought they might be able to find some species with constructive abilities there, after all, they hadn't fully investigated it before.

Now, the particle creature moved its perspective to this 'ecological zone'.

The reason this place is an ecological zone is not because it used to be a tumbler or something, but there are a lot of 'aggregates' in this area of almost a million kilometers.

These aggregates are similar to huge mixtures that look somewhat like clods, and they are gathered in this area for some reason, as if there is some kind of magical 'gravitational force' that attracts them to come.

But they did not gather in one point, but in many points.

As they gathered more and more, they became 'spheres' with tens of kilometers in size, divided within the area.

This is the preliminary findings of the desert vortex on the area.

And on these spheres, there are many creatures moving around, probably because the spheres contain nutrients, most of these creatures are relatively ...... normal.

Like most normal void creatures, they feed and reproduce as their main goal, unlike the creatures in the place where the pellet creature observation began to not even feed.

On one of the mud balls floating in the ecological zone, the particle creatures saw the crashed wreckage of the Desolate Vortex expedition.

Even after flying that far, their craft suffered from the effects of stasis causing the crash.

The draconic vortices, however, survived, and in fact these were more or less affected.

That is, most of their body functions were stopped, and they were able to live.

This group of desert vortices that originally came to investigate are now witnessing the end of this ecological zone.

The mud ball ...... is strewn with corpses.

The reason for the death of these creatures is also the reason for the stasis.

Generally a creature's body will have many moving things, usually including different species, some moving things have wonderful characteristics, such as being active at certain times and stationary at others.

Many creatures 'evolved' to take advantage of these characteristics of the internal structure.

For example, some creatures have digestive organs that are mostly stationary and only active during digestion.

Other creatures, on the other hand, are able to create very violent explosives inside their bodies, but this explosive is also static when it is made to mix, and when it is fired out can activate the active thing inside to make it explode.

This is the case in most organisms, partly active, partly static, as a way to maintain balance.

But if that balance goes out of whack, their bodies will collapse.

This is the cause of death for most of the creatures here, and the Desolate Vortex is rather special in that they can still any part of their body except their thinking nerves at any time, so they don't die so easily.

They witnessed the end of the place, and of course heard about the end of their civilization.

The draconic vortices are in great shock, but ...... are not in complete despair.

They believe that creatures with 'constructive powers' are their hope.

If they found such creatures and learned the method of construction, it was possible to reorganize a civilization.

So they began their exploration on the mud sphere, but they couldn't even find a few living creatures ...... let alone learn the constructive ability with these creatures.

And after exploring for some time, they discovered an anomaly in these bodies.

It was exactly the same as when the Star of Eating Things was born .......
