48 Hours a Day

Chapter 78 Welcome to the Mannheim Defense Line (20)

The sound of gunfire in the cabin broke through the silent night.

A moment later, a noise finally broke out in the silent woods in the distance, and several masked men with assault rifles came out of the woods, dressed in white disguises, yet without any military markings, they forced themselves to the cabin without a word.

Yet they were greeted by a huge, dark barrel.

Zhang Heng did not expect that the female doctor hid under the bed was a Maxine heavy machine gun that had been removed from the carriage. This woman was crazier than he thought, but at this time, her madness was useful.

Zhang Heng was patient and waited until the unidentified people in the woods approached the outside of the cabin door to pull the trigger, and the bullet burst out of the barrel into a fire tongue.

Five people out there are obviously guarding against the possibility of someone messing around, but even if they had ten times more imagination, they probably wouldn't have guessed that there was such a big guy hiding in the cabin.

The overwhelming fire instantly crushed all the possibilities of resistance, and the five people outside the house were torn apart by the metal bullets that came from the bees without any chance of fighting back.

Unfortunately, the heavy machine gun was powerful and the ammunition consumption was staggering. After only one round of attack, the female doctor ran out of stock under the bed, and this thing could not be carried with him. Zhang Heng had to leave it aside after resolving the first wave of crisis, and then pulled out the pistol between his waist and struck out the kerosene lamp hanging under the roof.

And he's just done it, and the other guy's second wave of attacks has arrived.

Bullets flying out of the forest poured over the cabin wood, tearing thin wooden walls easily, but good thing Simon had put the bed down early as a bunker.

While the girl still did not know why the enemy suddenly appeared in the camp, she also knew that the two were now in danger and that she had held her M28 in her hand, biting the leather cartridge and filling it quickly.

The stormy attack lasted about three minutes, and the house was a mess, filled with bullet holes, and the dishes on the table were all shredded, good thing there were two beds in the way, otherwise I'm afraid what happened to the two was no different from the glass on the ground.

I could see that these guys were iron hearted to kill Simon this time, fairly well prepared, waited another moment, the gunfire gradually faded, three more people stepped out of the woods, tried to start moving towards the cabin, and the result was three gunshots.

All three were shot down by Simon, and Zhang Heng also fired two shots. Unfortunately, the pistol made him a little uncomfortable after all, but immediately after that, they came back to fight harder.

Intense gunfire came from all sides and bullets seemed like a tidal wave, almost flooding the cabin completely.

This way, Zhang Heng can roughly tell from the fierceness of the firepower that the number of people should be between 20 and 30, so to speak, sooner or later the bed board of those two beds will end up like the wooden wall, but the two of them do not have any means to solve the current dilemma, Zhang Heng now even has difficulty showing his head, let alone how to fight back and escape with Simon.

Technically, Zhang Heng was still counted by Maggie this time.

The woman's willingness to tell him what happened to Simon was not only to explain it to him in good faith, but also to cut him off in this way. The woman doctor believed that Zhang Heng's intelligence must be able to figure out what she meant when she found out about these secrets. Even if he really wanted to kill Simon, he couldn't get out of the camp as much as he wanted.

That's why Zhang Heng said, "I never had a choice in this matter."

But even so, Zhang Heng eventually thanked Maggie because he knew that it was difficult to stay out of this alone, and he asked himself how hard it was to make the choice to let Simon go.

Besides, he also had a back card, and Zhang Heng's pocket still lay quietly on the wooden carving.

At least he can leave the cabin in a shadowy way, but there's no moon tonight, and his range of motion is limited to where kerosene lights can shine, which is a lot of trouble for him and it's not easy to rush into the woods to get behind those guys.

But if the situation continued to deteriorate, he had no other choice.

Just as Zhang Heng penetrated his finger into his pocket and prepared to grab the wooden carving, the gunfire suddenly became dense. However, this time, the gunfire was not all coming from the woods, and a lot of it was coming from the camp.

Zhang Heng saw Weiler, who had only one arm left behind, rushing out under the cover of a light machine gun behind him. He raised his assault rifle and fired wildly into the forest. In addition, O'Hector, the crippled leg, kicked over a table and put his rifle rack on top of it, scolding and shooting at the guys hiding in the forest, while other guerrillas moved.

Zhang Heng did not waste this opportunity. He kicked open the backwall of the 100-well crash and ran out of the cabin with Simon.

As soon as he left, he heard a whistle coming from his side, and then received a sub-machine gun thrown by a guerrilla, who made a gesture at him before joining the fight.

To date, the number of people in the camps has changed from more than forty at its peak to more than a dozen today, with half of them sacrificed in the fighting, but it has also made the rest extraordinarily united.

Although they were ordered not to leave the room tonight, these men chose to stand up after the attack on Simon's cabin, a change that was apparently unexpected on both sides.

However, despite their high morale, they were at a real numerical disadvantage, and, apart from the first wave of attacks, which knocked out the guys in the forest, they quickly organized a counterattack across the street.

Though those guys always hide their faces, their strength is pretty good.

Apart from the initial wave of heavy machine guns, which had no way of making faces, the guerrillas began to suffer casualties as a result of the tacit and well-manipulated action behind them.

Simon hesitated, she seemed to want to go back and help, but Zhang Heng knew that the group was after her and that staying here would only pose more danger to the others, so he patted her on the shoulder.

There are now gunshots everywhere in the camp, and the vast majority of people do not know where to flee at this time, but this is not a problem for Zhang Heng, who had already made it clear long before he spoke to Maggie that the northwest direction should be the blossom of the circle and their only way of life.
