48 Hours a Day

Chapter 224: The Day of Escape

In the capsule of the Cold Raven, people are nervously surrounded.

A minute and a half has passed since Harry dived, and ordinary people hold their breath underwater for about three or forty seconds, and people like them who live by the sea and live off the ocean can reach two or three minutes after exercising, but given that Harry also needs to accelerate oxygen consumption when he moves down there, it should be almost time to reach his limit.

But there was no response underwater, until about seven or eight seconds later, when people finally felt that the water level was no longer rising, which meant that Harry succeeded in closing that loophole and avoiding the Cold Crow sinking.

The crew applauded each other, but waited a little while before seeing Harry emerge.

Diffrena changed her color, couldn't get her shirt off and stuck her head straight into the water. As a result, she saw Harry struggling underwater. He stuck a hole in the bottom of the boat in defiance of all expectations and was preparing to go back. As a result, her calves were caught in a fishing net.

Harry tried everything, but couldn't get away with it, and gradually his strength grew weaker and his struggle became weaker.

The brain went into a blank state because of hypoxia, and Harry thought, "Am I going to die here today?" I knew I wouldn't be able to do this, but if I didn't think about it, I wouldn't be able to do it. If the Cold Raven sank, I wouldn't be able to escape...

Harry felt the world go dark in front of him, his hands and feet stopped swinging, and his memories stopped at this moment until there were palms clapping his cheeks, while others pressed his chest hard.

Harry spits out a sip of sea water, finally returns to God, starts breathing greed with a big mouthful of mouth, and then he finds himself lifted up by the crowd, shouting his name together.

Is that what it feels like to be a hero? Harry scratched his head. Well, it looks good.

But before he could enjoy it for a few seconds, he was thrown straight back into the water.

Not only did Harry's face get pushed away, but so did the person who threw him.

Because just now the Cold Raven suddenly wobbled so violently that no one in the cabin was able to stand steadily, while there were hidden signs of re-splitting in the previously repaired area.

Divrena arranged for two men to operate the pump to extract the accumulated water from the cabin, while the rest continued to reinforce the repair of cracks and vulnerabilities in the hull, while he himself rushed to the deck after the situation had stabilized.

DiFrena was surprised to see the scene outside.

He never thought he'd just stay under the cabin for less than twenty minutes, and by the time he came back, the sea had completely changed its appearance, huge waves had swept over the sea, the wind had whistled, and the lightning had fallen from time to time.

Obviously it was only a few steps away, but Mr. Quartermaster walked for half a minute, and then slipped twice during that time, and then he came to the helm and asked Annie there, “Where's the captain? ”

Because the wind and thunder were too loud, the red-haired girl did not hear what Diffrena was saying. Until Mr. Quartermaster repeated it loudly, Annie pointed to the mast behind her. Diffrena saw a blurred figure on it, but he did not connect the sudden appearance of the storm with Zhang Heng. He saw the latter on the mast and thought he was just going to close the sail.

So Devereaux asked Annie, "Where's the Navy? ”

As if in answer to his question, a shell had landed about 10 metres from the Cold Raven, just to the left of the Cold Raven, and an armed boat was also floating in the wind.

The captain gave the order to attack, but even the experienced gunmen were difficult to target in the current situation, often just adjusting the angle of the artillery, and the next second a wave came, all previous efforts were wasted.

The other armed boat that landed in the back was in trouble because the storm came too suddenly, the sailors on the boat were too slow to react and the sail was too late, causing the mast to be cut off directly by the wind and fly into the sea. The captain had to order him to return and return to the seaport of Parrot Island to escape the storm, which reduced the pressure on the Cold Raven by a single chaser.

But Devereaux was not in a much better mood.

Although the problem of the pursuit of soldiers has been partly solved, this extreme weather is now a great test for the Cold Raven, which is now at the helm of Annie.

The red-haired girl had conquered everyone by force during the time she boarded the boat, but everyone like Diffrena and others knew very well her origins and identity, that she had not had any sailing experience before coming to Nassau, so she had no steering experience. In fact, to date, she had only held the rudder and, according to Zhang Heng, remained on a straight line.

Diffrena watched the war with horror and feared that when a giant wave would completely overthrow the Cold Crow.

Strangely enough, however, the Cold Raven has sailed so long that it has encountered a number of giant waves, but basically they have all come face to face, like none of the deadly waves from the side.

But Divrena dared not gamble any more and hastily took the helm from Annie.

The armed boat on the left hand side still bites them tirelessly, but as the wind wave grows, so do the people above.

The people on board knew that the current Cold Raven was at its weakest, and perhaps with just one more round, no, even with a few more shells hitting each other, they could solve this pirate ship, which was already the end of a strong crossbow, which is why they kept biting and were reluctant to get the fat out of their mouths.

But after all, they are pirate hunters, not real navies, and although Walden gave them an order to solve the Cold Crow, they did not want to pay for their lives in order to carry it out.

As is now the case, the danger is beyond their grasp, and there are no signs of a halt to the storm, and even if they succeed in pursuing it, there is a good chance that their ship will be destroyed in the storm.

Therefore, despite its reluctance, the armed boat had to choose to turn back after another few minutes of pursuit.

As a result, the Cold Raven finally lost all its pursuits.

But now there is one of the greatest enemies - the unpredictable nature - and Diffrena still dares not take it lightly until another half hour later, when the wind finally begins to shrink and the situation gradually improves.

In the process, however, the Cold Raven has remained unsafe.
