48 Hours a Day

Chapter 880 Traps

Historically, only Sister Lucilla was left behind in Conmood's succession.

But that doesn't mean that he doesn't have any other siblings. In fact, Aurelius still has quite a few children, but the vast majority do not make it to adulthood, leaving only two children after his death.

If you count the children who died, there are many brothers in Conmood, and the closest of these to Zhang Heng's presumed age is Conmood's twin brother, who died when he was four years old. Orello held a funeral for him, and the Senate adjourned for a day to express its sorrow.

This is also remembered in Rome as long as the average citizen is not too young.

So at the social level, this twin brother of Conmoord is indeed dead.

This is also why Zhang Heng didn't think of this at first. Of course, these are now just Zhang Heng's speculations, really trying to prove that Autorus is the dead twin brother of Khan Maud, Zhang Heng needs to gather more evidence.

Given the unique nature of the palace, almost all the political forces will be hiding their personnel here, so there is no secret in this complex. It is obvious that it will not be possible for a prince to remain in the palace for so many years after his “death", so for whatever reason Aurelius can only be removed from the palace if he wants his child to remain secretly alive in the world, with the safer option of sending Autrus directly out of the city and as far away as possible.

It's like Zhang Heng sending a little slave on a long trip.

The good news now is that, given Autrus' illness, people in the place where he lived and grew up could not have had any impression of him, but simply find out what people Orello trusted most sixteen years ago, and find the more remote aristocracy, where visiting a circle basically made it easy to corroborate Zhang Heng's assumptions.

But the bad news is that Zhang Heng found that he didn't have time to do it.

Especially when Zhang Heng went to the perfume shop again, he found that the owner had been changed there, and the store staff who had received him had disappeared before. Zhang Heng knew that he had been abandoned.

This abandonment does not mean that the Blade of Balance threw him at the Hound, but that the war between the Blade of Balance and the Hound is likely to have begun, both sides are nervous, and the Blade of Balance obviously has insufficient trust in Zhang Heng as an alternate core member, coupled with the reason for the traitor in the organization, simply left him at this critical juncture, a non-believing element of instability, to play on his own.

If that's all, Zhang Hengdun doesn't really matter either, because his original plan was to paddle water, and it's not a big deal to ignore him. But the problem was that immediately after Zhang Heng heard a new message, Conmood intended to visit a military camp 20 miles outside of Rome, accompanied by the names of Otrus in addition to him and Clind.

You know, noble politicians in Roman politics are not familiar with the name, but no one has ever seen the true face of Otrus, whose owner used to live in the dark, but, as a matter of courtesy, Otrus is probably the second most powerful figure in Rome today, after His Majesty the Emperor of the Empire, Conmood.

Generally speaking, he is easily wary of the Emperor, but Kang Maud seems to have an incredible trust in his chief advisor and has no doubt about him.

This also gave rise to tremendous envy and jealousy on the part of other advisors, such as Clint, and this time the emperor's high-profile announcement that Otrus was among his peers also seemed to imply that Conmoor was prepared to gradually push the man who had been behind the scenes to the stage, so this examination, which was supposed to be just routine, became particularly striking.

Not only did the great nobles and elders want to see the true face of the emperor's first principals, but advisers such as Clint became nervous and felt a sense of crisis. Behind the scenes, Autrus already had such great influence, and once he came to the front stage, he began to use his power and influence to make friends, form his own forces, and possibly even control the Senate and the whole country in the near future.

What Clint and others don't understand is why Conmood watches this happen, and even if he trusts Otrus any more, doing so will undoubtedly undermine the imperial power.

Clint even assembled a group of people who had a good relationship with him and were ready to persuade Conmood together.

Naturally, he has not forgotten Zhang Heng, the newcomer that Kang Maud recently loved. During this period of time, the speed at which Zhang Heng rose has not found a precedent throughout Roman history, from slavery to civilians to advisors to the acquisition of enclosed land as a true nobleman. This other family needed several generations to complete the triple jump Zhang Heng actually took just over six months to complete. Fast and incredible, even Clind had some regrets to bring him to Kang Maud.

It's only now that Clinder has more headaches to deal with, that he can't free up his hands to fight Zhang Heng.

However, when he left Domus from Zhang Heng, his face was gloomy and almost dripping out of the water. Clindt had no idea that Zhang Heng would reject him. Although he did not really regard Zhang Heng as his political ally, the cooperation between the two was quite pleasant. Zhang Heng also showed some intentions to join him against Otrus.

That's why Clinder agreed to help, let Zhang Heng rip off the tiger skin of the SS to scare the big forces in southeastern urban areas. As a result, it wasn't long before that, Zhang Heng tore apart the alliance agreement and made it clear that he was not going to participate in the deal with Otrus led by him.

Clindt could barely maintain his traditional image of Wen Wenya and photographed the table, but he obviously didn't want to set up new enemies at this juncture, and finally just glanced cold at Zhang Heng and turned his head away.

In fact, Zhang Hengxin is quite hopeful that the people of Clinde will succeed, because this clearly shows that it is a trap used against the blade of balance. Zhang Heng is a small number of people who know the physical condition of Otrus, who know that he will not be able to appear in front of the public at all, but Zhang Hengxing is also well aware that Clinde and others have no chance of winning this exhortation.

The end result was certainly not expected, Clind et al. did not dissuade Conmood, and the Emperor's inspection two days later was still determined to bring Autrus with him, as if to tell the world how much he trusted his advisor.

Zhang Heng also realized that he had to meet with the female priest before the visit.
