A Chronicle of Life in a Different World

Episode 524: Great Disturbance Part 1

Ellio and the soldiers behind him showed up scratching off the wild horses. Ellio raised his voice as he arrived at the scene.

"It's Ellio-Nate from the First Magic Team! This noise....."

Ellio, who was looking around while raising his name, checked out Ruvillia's ex-sister and the man of the lord, who was held captive and rolled onto a cobble, Sebastian standing beside him and Sarah, who was alert to the surroundings, and Reurus, who could peek into his face from the carriage of the Count of Velg, causing him to pull his mouth slightly.

"Can you tell me... what the hell it is, Baron Reus?"

It was a tone of voice to say what had happened, but Ellio started to organize and gather information about the wild horses by giving instructions to the soldiers. The soldiers immediately moved out, and as one of them ran away from the scene, the rest of the crew began to see how Ruvillia's ex-sister was rolling on the ground.

"Lord Ellio! This woman looks strange!

And immediately the soldiers raised their voices. After receiving the report, Ellio told Reurus not to move and immediately checked on Ruvillia's ex-sister.

"Is this... poison? Your right hand is also broken... hmm? A piece of glass... in your palm?

"Dear Customer, I have the magic potion of 'Antidote'!

As Ellio narrows his eyes, the owner of the pharmacy pops out of the wild horse. A bottle was held in his hand, but the soldiers immediately stopped the sudden intruder.

"What are you? You think it's the antidote?

"Why is that?"

Reurus, who had listened so much, immediately moved because he was concerned about Ruvillia's condition. As he stepped out of the carriage, he kicked at the cobblestone and made a roar, attracting the attention of the soldiers and walking out.

"The Reurus was recited by His Majesty the King as a quasi-bar the other day. Would it be better if you called it" Monster Eater "or" Spirit Man "?

"Ah, you know... no, but this situation..."

"There's a girl on the ground, and all of a sudden she breaks the window of the carriage and spreads poison... and the owner just brings me the magic potion in response to my order."

I don't intend to be proud of my position, but it would be easier to put it forward now. Reurus explained, walking to the pharmacy owner, the soldiers looked at each other and took a step back.

Reurus, who received the magic potion of "detoxification" from the owner of the pharmacy, lowered his head on the spot.

"I'm sorry, shopkeeper. If you don't have enough money, I'll pay you again at a later date."

"Ah, no... not only is there not enough gold in there, but there's so much left..."

"Then keep it as a nuisance... no, can you give me back one small gold coin?

"Yes, of course!

When Reurus says so, the pharmacy owner immediately takes out the wallet given by Reurus and returns a small gold coin. I wanted to ask if that was really all I could do, but as a revulsion, I didn't mind.

"I'm sorry, the shop over there. Can you sell the fabric now? I wish there was a size that could be woven."

Reurus continued to look at the owner of a clothing store whose business was interrupted by a wild horse. I received it in a hurry when I handed over the small gold coin, and brought the product that Reurus wanted in a hurry again. I wanted fabric, but the owner of the clothing store brought a thin but well-made jacket.

"Are you sure you want to come here?

"Oh, thank you."

Reurus thanked him and returned to the carriage, causing Ruvillia to put on a coat with a spicy expression that woke her up. Then I gave you the magic potion of the "antidote".

"I'm sorry, but Ruvillia needs to take this and rest. I'll talk to Ellio with Sebastian. Eliza, please take Ruvillia."

"Hmm... I'll leave it to you."

"What? No, um... Reurus? This is...."

It was Reurus who had entrusted Eliza with getting out of the carriage, but Ruvillia shook the magic potion of "Antidote" in confusion.

"There might still be poison left, right?

"No, I'm not... Shouldn't Reurus be drunk?

"... ah, oh, speaking of which, I was poisoned."

I used "Calorie Release", but I completely forgot the pain because of my anger. So Reurus answered puzzled, but turned his gaze towards Ruvillia's ex-sister.

He grabbed a bottle of venom and hit the glass window with the power to break his fist. Naturally, the girl was also affected by the poison and her skin color was dyeing purple.

Sebastian may have gone or tied his right arm tightly to slow down the poison, but as far as we can see, Ruvillia will die.

(I... well, I'll go to the cathedral later and find someone who can use the 'antidote'. Which magic medicine should I take next.....)

Reurus thinks he should give Ruvillia a drink because Ruvillia is not feeling well. But if you want information from a girl lying on the ground, you'd better keep her alive.

(... no, because you have a man, "I don't mind”?

Which one “makes you sing” doesn't matter as a realuse. If we have the information we need, it will suffice for your man to be alive.

That's what Reurus thinks - he sighs tired.

"... then, please take half of that medicine, Mr. Ruvillia. I'll use the rest to treat you there."

Okay, I got it.

Sighing and chilling his head, he threw away his thoughts until then. I wasn't really aware of it, but my anger probably made my thoughts a mess.

Reurus shook his head and walked to Ellio to explain the situation.

And after listening to the story, Ellio was overwhelmed.

"Just let me forget my manners for now... Lord Reurus, are you kidding me?

"I wish this was a joke...."

Reurus answers with a bitter smile to Ellio, asking him to keep his voice from being heard by a wild horse.

"Young lady over there... the daughter of the Vicomte suddenly approached, shouting at Lord Ruvillia, beating and breaking the window of the carriage, poisoning the carriage... are you kidding me? Please, that's what you said...."

Ellio frowned to bear the headache. However, the soldiers continued to raise their voices as if they had betrayed Elio's wishes.

"Ellio, I have checked the carriage of the Count of Velg, but as the Baroness said, there was a poisonous liquid on the floor. It's in the bottle."

"I've talked to the neighbors and shopkeepers, and it looks like the Baron is right... I've heard more than a dozen stories, but they all agree."

"Some residents reported that the Earl of Werg's carriage was being chased by another carriage...."

Ellio had a headache, and all the information he brought up corroborated Reurus' reports. A headache doesn't make me suspicious of Reurus' reports. We don't pretend to believe everything because we know each other in the course of our duties, but when we look at the information that comes out, the Reus and the others are too “unilaterally” damaged.

It is only natural that the Reurus seized Ruvillia's ex-sister and the man of the Emperor. Because if they succeed, they will not be a problem even if they are killed on the spot.

"Hmm... this is a little... no, it's quite... chaotic."

"What's wrong?

Of course, I understand that this case is “bad” compared to Reurus. But when I saw Ellio's reaction, I had to assume that it was going to be more important than I thought.

"When a disturbance of this magnitude occurs... for now, you, the Baron of Amendura, the Count of Werg, and the Spirit are involved, so Spiritualism... the Marquis of Grimer, who brings together the southern nobles, also joins in the pursuit, and when the Vicomte side is bad, it becomes a battle."

"... will it be?"

"Yes. I think you obviously have a nickname, and it's possible that other aristocrats will stick their necks in for a butt horse ride...? At least the court nobles will be glad to stick their necks in. Around there, I wonder where the Marquis Grimer's arm was shown....."

It was Ellio who talked a little unconfidently, but as a realuse, I didn't think it would spread so widely. It is only Elio's prediction, but I have to say that it is not impossible for him to act as a human of the First Magic Corps in and around the King's Capital.

"Doesn't that usually stop the surroundings? Maybe with His Majesty the King....."

"If there is a fault and a conflict between the two, I will arbitrate, but I don't think you have a fault at the moment... if we arbitrate now, the Count of Werg won't be convinced... and you won't either?

That distracts Ellio. Beyond that line of sight, I saw soldiers coming and running away from the scene earlier.

"I've brought someone who can use healing magic. I'm going to treat the Baron, Lord Ruvillia, and the suspects."

"Oh, please... and Lord Reurus?

Elio nodded back after receiving the soldier's report, but quickly tilted his neck. Then he looked at Reurus' face and turned to his back, opening his eyes.

"Lord Reurus, why is your back... moving around flat!? Better move around!? The back part, the clothes are almost melted!?

Reurus was moving around, so he didn't think he was poisoned like Ruvillia. Reurus smiled bitterly at Ellio, who was dismayed and startled.

"I'm kind of resistant to poison... and then I feel like I'm using magic like 'strengthening'."

"I'm really wondering why I'm resistant to poison... are you sure you're okay?

I was told that Reurus would check his physical condition again, but he didn't feel any pain or illness because he was using "calorie release".

For that reason, when I tried "caloric release", the pain immediately crawled up from my back.

"Ah, it hurts so much, this... it hurts so much, it's spicy!

You feel pain and sickness, and your vision is about to shake. Although it is as harsh as it can be in words, as far as Ruvillia is concerned, it is not a poison that is “this much” in nature.

"Caloric Release" keeps draining magic, so Reus switches to "Enhance." The pain and discomfort decreased slightly.

(As the Great Spirit told me, even if you are resistant to poison, this pain... isn't fashionable.)

I tried to behave brightly in front of Elio, but what if Eliza and the others were poisoned? With an incredibly powerful sensation of poison, Reurus sharpens his emotions inside.

Not only Reurus, but Ruvillia was safe thanks to Elizabeth and the others, but if she made a mistake, she'd say, "What happened?”

"... in the meantime, I'm going to ask you for medical attention."

"Not to mention the poison that caused the death of my hardworking friend."

Reurus laughed and nodded back to Ellio who laughed.

(However, if the poison becomes so strong, that scoundrel may be "useless”.....)

I used the "antidote" magic potion, but it was only about a fifth of what I gave Ruvillia. Depending on the skill of the healing sorcerer the soldier brought, it will be difficult to remove the poison.

"So... I'd like you to keep the carriage of both houses as evidence for now, and let me take you with me as soon as the treatment is over for the two of you who have been trapped."

"Mr. Ruvillia, I'm still not feeling well...."

― Then I will cooperate.

The words echo, and Reurus turns to you.

"The Spirits are rushing into the cathedral... and I'll do my best to help."

There stood Sofia with a serious look on her face.
