A Chronicle of Life in a Different World
Episode 90: Return
On the evening of the third day after leaving the abandoned city of Madalo.
Reurus exhaled nature and relief in the far-sighted town of Laval.
"You're back...."
"Bye...."
Unlike going, there were few “lectures” by Zilba, and there were no monsters or bandits raiding, so I was able to shorten my itinerary by about a day.
I'm glad to be a Reurus who wanted to get home as soon as possible, but now that we're in Laval Waste City, I feel more at ease than happy.
"That's the abandoned city of Laval! Compared to the abandoned city of Madalo, the town is poor, but not bad!
"You can still go back to Veos Volcano. If you make a fool of our town, we'll give it back before we leave."
Sarah screams to disturb the emotional Reurus. In response to Sarah, Reurus clashed with a cold gaze and voice.
"I don't want to come back here!? I'm never going home!
Sarah, who received the word of Reurus, hides behind Zilba and protests.
He sighed and wondered if Reus could somehow cancel the contract.
"... something's wrong."
Gilba murmured as she watched the abandoned city of Laval beside the exchange between Reurus and Sarah. When he heard that, Reurus looked closely at the abandoned city of Laval, but as Zilba said, something didn't seem right.
"Look at the gate. Normally, the sentry doesn't move around that much...."
"But the bell isn't ringing... let's hurry up"
Around the far-sighted gates of the abandoned city of Laval, Gilba was right, the adventurers were moving around frequently. Night is already coming in the evening, but it is too hasty for that.
Reus ran with Eliza in his arms, followed by Gilba with Sarah in her arms.
Perhaps a powerful monster appeared while he was away from Laval Waste City, which would require immediate help.
Reurus rushes through the rest of the journey with that in mind. And as he approached the gate, he found the face he had seen and called out.
"Tony!
"Hmm? Hmm? Been killed, Reurus!? Is Eliza's daughter safe?!
Though I called Tony, the gatekeeper, something went wrong. Reus looked strangely as he lowered Eliza to the ground.
"Me and Eliza are all right... what happened?
Apparently there's not a powerful monster out there. Tony drops his shoulders tired when Reurus responds with relief.
"Nothing, because the" reality ”of the request you received is different... I heard that there are several kinds of intermediate and higher monsters wandering around the Union with additional information from the Waste City of Madalo... Go to the Union quickly. You're making a big fuss...."
"Oh oh...."
Speaking of which, Reurus ran out in a hurry. Even Madaro Waste City did not know Hikudori, so there was confusion in the information, but he was originally asked to defeat the intermediate monster.
In fact, it is a monster comparable to the intermediate superiors, and it is an on-parade of "unexpected” bears, winged dragons, and even fire dragons with fire spirits.
I heard that Madalo Waste City sent additional information, but it is unclear to what extent the information has been conveyed, so I don't think it can be visited as a Laval Waste City.
Quickly cut off Tony's greetings and Reurus stepped into Laval Waste for the first time in about three weeks. Then he ran through the boulevard and arrived at the Adventurers' Union, where he heard anger enough to pierce the wooden doors.
"That's why Sharon and I are going! More than intermediate, more than intermediate, more than intermediate monsters!? I can't count on them in the abandoned city of Madalo. Send me some information!
"Me and my brother will be there in three days. I think we should get rid of Kejime who gave us the wrong information."
The Lord of Wrath is Nicolas the Senior Adventurer. He was screaming with a voice like anger, and Sharon was behind him. Sharon wasn't as loud as Nicolas, but there was a cold, quiet rage.
Having heard those two voices, Reus opened the door in a hurry.
"Wait a minute! Me and Eliza are safe, and they're back!
Was the timing good or bad? If you were one more day late, the angry Nicolas and Sharon would have headed to the abandoned city of Madalo.
"Reurus!?
"I'm not with you... no, I'm with you."
When she jumped into the Adventurers Association door, Nicolas looked back in dismay. Eliza was so scared of the sword that she changed her language.
Not only Nicolas and Sharon, but also other adventurers in the union. Some of them looked like Dominic, and he was silently bracing.
The adventurers were stranded in Natalia, sitting at the reception, and Bartolo, the union leader standing behind them. Natalia, who noticed Reurus, made an unusual tired voice.
"Welcome back, boy... I'm glad you're safe. Well, really... Nicolas and the others were about to attack Madalo Waste City."
That said, Natalia sucked on the smoke pipe, but the expression had a reassuring color. Apparently Natalia was also worried about Reurus and Eliza.
"Oh, that's it! That's it! Looks like the guy from the Waste City of Madalo brought in some extra information, but it wasn't middle-intermediate!
"Oh, yeah. Even in the abandoned city of Madalo, it was a monster I had never seen before, so I was judged to be in the middle of the middle of the class.... Señor, from the other union leader."
Reurus retrieves an envelope when he fishes the backpack. I received it from Roberto to give it to the Adventurers' Union in the abandoned city of Laval.
"Let me change the inside."
When Reurus handed over the envelope, Natalia opened it quickly. And when I read the letter coming out of the envelope, I gave it to Bartolo.
"Hmm... apologies for the confusion about the contents of the rescue request and the end of the matter. Increasing rewards and transferring materials to compensate Reurus... hmm?
Bartolo raised his eyebrows as he murmured.
Hey, Reurus.
Somehow the union leader
"This letter says that if I didn't write it wrong, I would have defeated the Wing Dragon and fulfilled my request...."
Bartolo asks confused questions, but the information is also mixed as a revulsion and it is difficult to explain.
Hikuidori, thought to be intermediate, was the upper intermediate, and the lower intermediate haunted bears and upper intermediate wing dragons entered, and the spirit of fire appeared and the fire dragon beat him up. Even if you can't talk later, you'll need to explain a lot.
Instead, Nicolas and his adventurers are about to storm the abandoned city of Madalo.
"Um... where did I start?"
While Vaniel and Sarah were lying down, Reurus explained the disturbance.
"Cheers to Reurus and Eliza's daughter returning safely!
Cheers!
After explaining what I had done in the abandoned city of Madalo, I somehow decided to go to Dominic's restaurant for a banquet.
It's Nicolas who speaks toasts, and many adventurers start drinking at banquets.
Sarah and Gilba are not here. Sarah was in danger of doing something extra, so Zilba took her to church. By now, it will be time to learn about the ways of the abandoned city of Laval and public common sense.
As a Gilba, it seems necessary to report this disturbance to Esther, a spiritual teacher, and Sarah's presence is necessary for explanation.
In addition, as a Reurus, I wanted to spend only today with my friends in the abandoned city of Laval.
Though the information was mixed, Reurus' explanation prevented a raid on the abandoned city of Madalo.
The fact that most of the battle power in Madalo Waste City was disengaged at the stage when Reurus ran away, and there was no information that the monster that was originally scheduled to be defeated - Hikudri - was the monster that only inhabited Rapali.
The Hikuidori also moved to the nearby abandoned city of Madalo under the influence of the giant winged dragon, and so did other intermediate monsters.
Reurus worked with Eliza and Gilba to defeat the Winged Dragon and fulfill the request.
I mixed up the lies and reported them in the abandoned city of Madalo, but I had to do the same in the abandoned city of Laval. Even though he couldn't tell everyone the truth, Reurus went through the lies, feeling uncomfortable.
As much as Nicolas and the others can understand that they were deeply worried and angry about themselves and Eliza, Reurus' suffering is only increasing.
"I'm sorry, Oni-san... the sword you gave me is useless..."
I've lied to you before, but the hardest thing for Reurus is to lose Dominic's sword. As he lowers his head with his legs to Dominic, who is cooking, Dominic lifts the edge of his mouth and laughs.
"What, that sword belongs to you, and the weapon will break someday. Instead, you and Eliza have returned safely... that's enough."
"Oni-san...."
Rather than angry at the broken weapon, Reurus and Eliza have returned safely.
--Whoo-hoo, it's really good to be back.
Reurus thought it was really good to be back in the abandoned city of Laval, saying that Nicolas and the others were angry.
When you are so moved inside, you feel a sign of people behind you. Reurus looked over his shoulder and there was a corona standing there.
"Mr. Reurus...."
"Corona... oh, my God, I'm home."
While scratching his cheeks, Reurus greeted him “home", and Corona distorted her expression as if she were crying for a moment - immediately smiling like flowers blooming.
"Yes, welcome back!
A gentle smile that heals the viewer. Looking at that smile, Reurus scratched his head as he thought, "I'm home at last."
"The lunch you gave me before you left was delicious. And what did the souvenir say... sorry, I didn't have time or place to buy it."
The abandoned city of Madaro was exposed to the threat of monsters, and the shops were not open properly. Even after Reurus and the others “brought home the giant winged dragon”, there was no time to be wary that the monsters would attack.
No, it's fine.
You can't give me the Magic Stones or the Jewels Vanille gave me. When Reurus thinks about it, Corona shakes her neck and smiles.
"Mr. Reurus and Elizabeth have returned safely... it's a great souvenir."
(... I believe in Corona more than spiritualism, me)
After all, may I give you all the "Magic Stone" or "Treasure Ball"?
I accidentally think about it, but it is too dangerous in many ways to give away what I heard is millions of yuan.
"Corona, Corona, I'm home. I'm home, aren't I?
"Fufu... welcome back, Elizabeth."
Reurus said he would apologize to Dominic, or Eliza, who had been a long way from there, approached. And when she embraced Corona sweetly, Corona took Eliza and smiled softly.
Looking at such a smiling exchange between the two, Dominic called out with a small smile.
"You must be tired. I'll make you something you like... anything you want to eat?
In Dominic's words, Reurus and Eliza looked at each other - immediately speaking in unison.
Salt soup!
