A Chronicle of Life in a Different World
Episode 208: A New Request Part 1
A week after Collard visited the abandoned city of Laval.
Ready to head for the fortress city of Accra, Reurus was telling Kohlard that he had visited to check before returning to the territory of the Viscount of Velg.
As Collard and the others returned to the territory of the Viscount of Velg, Reurus and the others decided to leave.
"Jilba didn't come back, but instead he was accompanied by a spiritual teacher...?
Collard, dressed as usual to Laval Waste Town in front of Laval Waste Town, hovers beside him, shook his voice somehow as he listened to Reurus.
And when she looked at Esther in a state of fear, she bowed with her right hand against her chest.
"... at first, my name is Collard-Nate."
"Thank you for being so polite. I'm Esther."
In polite greetings to Collard, Esther responded with a “passing by" greeting that the knight did not think was the opponent.
But Collard won't say anything about it. Gently lower the right hand on your chest near the pigeon tail, inviting the revulsion with a pulled smile.
"Hmm? What?
"Just... come here."
Collard keeps his distance from Ester with a little temper to lend a little face. While wondering at Collard's behavior, Reus asked Elizabeth and the others to make sure they didn't forget anything for the trip, and then leaned aside beside Collard.
"Are you serious about moving the Spirit Teacher... no, are you crazy? Are you having so much fun hurting my stomach?
Collard asks while shaking his voice with a smile on the surface of what is still pulling.
"It is true that there is a request from Laval Waste City, but this case was also brought up by Esther... it seems that Gilba's boss is in a position, and if it means suppressing the spiritual rebellion, isn't it appropriate?
I know not only spirituals in Zilba, but residents and soldiers in the neighborhood and far away, and at the end of the day Gregorians, but I don't know much about Esther.
Reurus was a little worried that there might be something strange about “common sense” if he didn't know. Or is there something only those who are familiar with spiritualism know?
"Not to mention the joke... hmm, 70% of the way, but it would be suitable. However, the Spirit Teacher will move instead of Jilba.... hmm..."
"Something wrong?
With the exception of Gilba, there seems to be no more candidates, but Reurus asked with doubt.
"It's not bad... but I can't tell you how good it is. It's going to be more effective... I'm not sure if it's a good drug or a drama..."
Collard groans while holding her stomach with her right hand. Even in the early spring, cold sweat was flowing from the forehead, but as a revulsion, I could only tilt my neck to Collard's reaction.
"I knew there was a spiritual teacher in the abandoned city of Laval... but I want you to understand what it meant to bring" dare ”Jilba here..."
"That being said... you used to ask me to treat the daughter of the House of Värg, right? That's when you talked about the spirituals rebelling in the realm, right? I don't think it's strange if Estelle moves...."
I should have asked Ruvillia to see him and told him that. I heard that Gilba was furious because of Carlo's attitude at that time, but did you not consider the possibility that the ester that heard the story would move even in the dust?
(Somehow, Chighughag... is the information complicated on the Viscount Velg's side? Or is it simply a noble creature?
They say they first tried to get Esther to the territory of the Viscount of Velg. In that case, I think Esther fell into a feather that moved to suppress the spiritual rebellion even if she didn't like it.
(... it's not Gilba-san, but it certainly smells.)
If you think about how to thank Esther, Collard is also a Spirit. With the exception of confidential and other undisclosed information, it is unlikely that the Spirit Collard will lay down information that would be detrimental to Esther.
In Reurus, the lack of information leads to a lack of breadth that can be judged, but beast-like conjectures were complaining of discomfort.
(If the monster is the opponent, it will make a slice and make my stomach swell... except for the slime.)
Sometimes things don't bother you, but when you get there, you'll see something new. That's how Reurus looks away from Collard.
"By the way, Mr. Collard, you don't have many soldiers this time, do you?
That's how Reurus turned his eyes on the soldiers Collard brought with him. Unlike Kohllard, he is hardened with metal armor, but the number is small by five.
"Because I travel by horse, I've been sorting fast feet. As for the number of people... it's good to know."
"No, even if they say it's a good idea..."
When we first met, we should have brought nearly thirty soldiers, and there were obviously fewer than five.
Carlo had a similar number of soldiers, but in Carlo's case they were all cavalry. Things will be different from Collard.
"You may not feel it because you're an adventurer, but we knights and soldiers just travel the streets for money? If there is a battle to help the soldier accompany… if there is any casualty or death, the surviving family must be compensated to some extent."
Collard explains with a sigh to Reurus who leans his neck without knowing why.
"Whether you're going on a road tour or a public expense, just like when I first met you, it's not all I can afford... if I'm in command and I'm casualties, do I have to pay for it?
"Well... that's right."
"Hmm... those who have fought against morale, alcoholic beverages, favorites, monsters and bandits and made efforts need a reward, and not enough money. This time, I had to stay in Laval for a week."
Looks like we've sorted out the quick ones, but it's been financially tough to bring in more than five soldiers.
The Vicomte de Velg will also receive money, but Collard seems to be using "more” money to motivate his men.
"I wasn't born into a famous family, I didn't stand out from the crowd, and I wasn't particularly good as a commander. I need to see what's in the reward I'm giving and who I'm dealing with, but if I'm sparing any money, my men are coming with me."
Don't be stingy - Collard says so with a realistic voice.
(Even in a company that used to work in my previous life, my subordinates had a boss who bought meals... like that?
I wouldn't say I'd buy loyalty with gold, but the knighthood profession is tough. Reurus feels a change in his mood for Collard, but stops laughing without showing it.
"I wish I had reported it earlier."
"Absolutely. But if the Spirit Teacher would help me, it would be enough in return... if I returned to Lord Lewis without any success, I would have laughed at Carlo's guy."
That's Collard, but his eyes aren't laughing.
"By the way, do you know what kind of 'protection' Esther has? I think you have some kind of" protection "for spiritual teachers....."
"Eh? No, that's..."
Reurus looks at Esther worrying if it is good to tell her from her mouth. Then, the ester that noticed the realuse's gaze approached with a smile.
"Have you finished talking? Or can I help you?
"I'd like to hear what kind of 'protection' Estelle has..."
When Reurus first met Esther, he told me without hiding anything. Still thinking it would be better to speak from the person's mouth, Esther answers strangely tilting her neck.
"Is this my 'protection'? I have been given the" protection "of the Great Spirit!"
"Ah... yeah... spirits..."?
Listening to Esther's response, Collard's complexion changes rapidly to blue. She pressed her stomach as if she was upset and smiled while blowing cold sweat out of her entire face.
"I see... it's a great honor to meet your spiritual teacher with the 'protection' of the Great Spirit, and even to be allowed to go along with him... haha..."
It is an incredible change to the extent that Reurus thinks that humans can change their complexion so far.
"Mr. Collard? Are you all right, sir?
Unexpectedly, Reurus shouted, and Collard whispered to Esther not to hear him.
"Without saying anything about money, I wish I had brought all the soldiers under my command... if there was anything to teach the Spirit Teacher, I would..."
With great anxiety about Collard's trembling appearance, Reurus and the others set out for Accra, the home of the Värg family.
