A Chronicle of Life in a Different World
Episode 231: The Second Behind The Battle
Gilba shattered the stone walls and appeared.
Those hands are already empty, but the two priests who were dragged into the hole in the stone wall a few seconds ago will already be breathing. Laurent, who decided to do so, turned his gaze toward Zilba with his curved blade and his shards undisturbed.
Normally it's Laurent who doesn't break his slender attitude, but his expression is as tight as ever. To avoid overlooking Zilba's movements, he spared no time to even blink and moderately strained his whole body.
The moment I blinked, I wouldn't be surprised if Zilba stood in front of me. Or is it the moment you blink that your death is certain?
Laurent is conscious of being a strong man, but he still doesn't have enough confidence to think he's better than he is.
The stone walls that Zilba pierced with bare hands were not constructed to act as barriers in the event of an accident. Stone sandwiches the solid earth wall and is nearly a metre thick, making it sturdy enough that it won't collapse even with a large number of people riding on it.
It is not so much cod as crushing the fortress with bare hands, but it is sufficiently outlying. If Laurent were to do the same, he would need to knock down the magic blade several times to destroy it.
(... you can do it instantaneously without feeling any killing or signs beforehand...)
Ugh, the cold sweat is spreading on your cheeks. Without even having the room to wipe the cold sweat, Laurent continued to hold the curved sword.
Speaking of which, Jilba stopped moving when she showed up. Not only Laurent, but even the priests and worshippers who stood at arm's length in a hurry turned their gaze towards Rebecca.
"Chi... not the body, but the doll"
Then the field will stagnate for a few seconds. Jilba murmured in a deep mood.
"Oh, well... this has been a long time since I last saw you, Raccoon."
Rebecca answers as if she had forgotten about the madness she had just experienced when she was looking at a normal person and was about to faint. The seriousness of the voice will prove that it is not an easy match for Rebecca.
"... Bishop, can't you manipulate that monster?
Laurent asks with a few thoughts, paying attention to Zilba's every move. Rebecca, who was questioned, shrugged her shoulders.
"You know my power, right?“ Does it work or doesn't it work? "If it works, I'm confident that even the dragon species can be punished... but I don't think it's possible to manipulate fanatics."
"... do something about it"
"But... yeah, that's why! This is a really good day! I finally met my prince!
"Oh, shit! I don't know if I can count on you!
Rebecca spread her hands along the way and raised her voice of joy like a stage actor. Laurent felt like she wanted to hold her head when she heard the words - Zilba's killing temper swelled up even more.
"'Keisei'... what have you done?
"I don't like being called by that name. Yeah, I hate it. I'm in a good mood now, so I'm going to listen to you."
Rebecca smiles glossly at Zilba as she takes a step forward.
"Finally... I finally found it! A prince who accepts all of me! His name is Reurus."
The moment I said that, Jilba disappeared. Instantly fill the gap with Rebecca, which was nearly five meters open, and step in with the momentum to sink the ground.
And being thrown at the same time as stepping in is a special blow that has buried many Gregorians so far.
Rebecca just smiles at Zilba's movements. Zilba's “job” failure was confirmed when she showed up. If Rebecca herself were here, it would be impossible for a magic doll to escape before it even fights.
Another magic doll - Rebecca would be able to hold it a little longer if Reurus and the others were at war, but Rebecca, as opposed to Gilba, can only exert about 30% of the power of the fine body.
So there's no way we can fight Zilba - except for Laurent, who moved in response to Zilba's murderous intentions.
Follow Gilba with a single blow to take Rebecca down, shaking her curved sword around the space where her right fist would shatter Rebecca's torso.
Laurent's song sword was a gem that carved "Enhancement" with "Magic Letters" into the product. Still, I don't think I can cut Zilba's arm, but I think it's gonna hurt somewhat.
Yes, I thought so.
"It's warm, kid."
What kind of technology or magic is that? Rebecca's fist rushing towards her torso was pulled away and her outwardly swinging elbow collided with the "frontal" blade.
No matter how much "reinforcement" is used, there is a difference in strength between the blade and the human body. I'm sorry about Jilba if there's a sharp cut between Laurent's arm and the curved sword.
But in reality, Laurent's curved sword was being bounced back. While slightly disoriented by the impact, Laurent noticed Zilba's right arm, which had not even cut her clothes.
Laurent shouted inadvertently to Gilba, who had demonstrated the rough business of rebuilding the blade with bare hands instead of weapons.
"--What kind of reasoning!?
Distance yourself from Zilba, screaming like a soul, but rolling the ground without defying the collapsed posture.
If it were one-on-one, they would have been chased and killed, but Laurent wasn't the only one here. A sacrificial offering, which moved slightly behind Laurent, fell from behind Zilba and supported Laurent.
No matter how much Zilba is, it doesn't go all the way to the back. The structure of the human body will reach some extent, but I haven't left the human body enough to bounce back with my bare hands until I slash it in the back.
Pagans.
Gilba looked back and intercepted - and didn't take long measures.
Without losing sight of Rebecca and Laurent, he took a step toward the sacrificial offering he had slashed. And I thought I had stepped on the ground enough to sink it, and I dived into the pocket of the sacrifice that had been slashed from the top.
It sounds dull and heavy. The body of the altar blew up as if it had been played, and I thought it had flew horizontally. I bounced several times on the ground and collided with the walls of the house before I finally stopped moving.
In the meantime, Zilba has not lost sight of Rebecca or Laurent at all. You think it's the most threatening thing to do here.
Laurent quickly regains her position and rearranges the curved sword. It's an illusion that a typically reliable partner feels somewhat unreliable when looking ahead to Gilba.
"Bishop, could you give me some advice... on how to treat the pain?
"Unfortunately, you can't do it. I can't do it with this body....."
Laurent asked me what I could do, but Rebecca's response was hopeless.
"Even when I first met you, I manipulated the monsters around the Raccoon to attack them, shredded their health, let the Otomodachi shoot magic from a long distance, and shredded their magic with Nullify... that's how I finally won?
"... I wonder if the bishop is crazy or if that 'rabid dog' is crazy."
It seems we have to do something with our strength to get through this situation. That's how Laurent tried to resist death by putting his strength into his right hand, which holds the curved sword.
In conclusion, Laurent's resistance was successful.
His left arm was broken, and his love sword was cracked and useless. Even though the priests and believers who were acting together scattered their lives, they succeeded in escaping.
But that doesn't mean Laurent escaped Zilba on his own. Nor does it mean, of course, that we could defeat Gilba.
Desperately and thoroughly defended, Rebecca's winged dragon ran, retrieved and left - that's all.
Of course, Zilba is not sweet enough to let the heathens escape. However, the approaching Wing Dragon threw flame magic at the "surrounding houses” and was able to escape while "disabling" it.
"... I didn't expect you to let your men escape."
However, Rebecca remains here alone. It's not the main body, it's the magic doll, so there's no need to run away.
"It's Kanna's favorite and a candidate for bishop. If you let him go, I'll let him go."
Gilba grabbed Rebecca by the neck and hung her up. If you were a human, you wouldn't be able to breathe, but Rebecca was spinning her words flat because she was a magical doll.
Gilba said in disgust, hitting Rebecca with a sharp gaze.
"Are you watching through this doll? I'll kill you one day... remember"
"I'm sorry. Only my prince can destroy me."
At the end of that word, Gilba grips her neck. And when he hit his heart and head, Rebecca turned into a doll about 30 centimeters old.
"Oh my god... I came to intercept without saying anything. I don't have the face to match Reurus or Esther...."
Once upon a time, I was unable to manipulate tokens “broadly”. Even so, there are signs that several magical dolls thought to have manipulated the Wing Dragon and many more humans.
Was it cautious to move only the magic doll, not Rebecca herself, or was she just not motivated and willing to move? Even if it was the latter, Gilba was concerned when she recalled Rebecca's behavior.
"I think Mr. Reurus did something... yes?
I'm glad Reurus moved, but I don't know what happened. We should meet up and apologize for this and ask for more details.
First of all, we will need to explain the tragic conditions in which the stone walls and the bodies of the Gregorians roll through holes enough to allow people to pass, in the soldiers' lockup right next to them.
Then, Laurent, who escaped from Accra with a groan on the back of the dragon, murmured small as he endured the pain of his broken left arm.
"Ah, shit... I don't want to see you again..."
A monster (Gilba) that singles out the Bishop of Gregory for defeating advanced monsters.
His eyes were filled with a powerful glow, spitting out words fearful of the strength.
