A Chronicle of Life in a Different World

Episode 247: Master Part 5

The hustle and bustle gradually disappears from Dominic's restaurants.

The cause was Natalia and Collard, and Reurus, who had received food and alcohol from Dominic, remained silent and puzzled.

(Mr. Collard, do you know Mr. Hayashi? No, something's wrong with the way I know you....)

In contrast to Natalia walking with a smile, Collard jumped out of his chair and took an upright position. And as she opened her eyes, she was sweating cold from her forehead.

If so, does it resemble the situation we had before Zilba? Collard's gaze was busily shifting to the left and right, and he seemed to be wondering how to react to Natalia.

"Oh... what's wrong? You're sweating cold.

"Hah... hah! Excuse me...."

Collard wipes his cold sweat with a hand wipe taken out of his pocket and smiles.

There is a clear “vertical relationship” visible, and Reurus begins to bite at the roasted boned flesh as he twists his neck. Because of the good smell, I reached out unconsciously.

"Ngungg... are you shaking this salt and pepper thing? Uh-huh."

Not knowing whether to interrupt the conversation between Natalia and Collard, Reurus took a quiet stance. Even so, Reurus turned to Dominic in the kitchen.

"You know Mr. Collard, don't you? Do you know anything about this?

"... no, I don't know."

Did you notice that the store was quieter? Dominic looked at Natalia and Collard with suspicion. I don't know if the answer is true, but at least Reurus couldn't feel it was a lie.

"Well, I didn't expect to see you in a place like this, but I was surprised....."

"Hmm... that's right. I mean, you were dispatched“ without knowing anything. ”It seems that the son of the Vicomte de Velg has a sweet packing, but he's a middleman."

Natalia smiles brightly at the slender Collard. It was a very attractive smile from Reurus, but Collard started pulling his cheeks and turning blue.

"Ah, no, if you don't know anything... may I ask you something?

I don't know where the majesty of training went, but I just say there's no more, Collard. The appearance of shrinking the large body and confirming the matter would be an anomaly from the perspective of the Reurus.

Natalia takes her gaze away from Collard and looks at Reurus. But when I saw Reurus roasting bony flesh, I smiled a little bitterly.

"My boy... he's training me for the Reurus. On behalf of the Adventurers' Association, I wanted to say thank you.

"Ha, ha... is that so... hey, Reurus! Don't swallow the meat. You didn't help me!

It was Collard who was caught by Natalia and saw Reurus, but he opened his eyes when he saw Reurus eating meat. Reurus lowered his head unfortunately, but Natalia smiled deeper at what was interesting.

"Oh, you don't like my conversation as much as you want the boy to help you?

"No!? No, no, no, no disillusionment! Even with me, a conversation with a beautiful woman like you is very welcome!

Collard rushed to deny Natalia's words and frowned on grandeur.

"But what? Me... no, even I was in a position..."

"Ah... by the way, I heard you were successfully taken as a knight. Congratulations on being late."

"Did you know... haha, no, Captain, there are others..."

Collard's words cut off unexpectedly. Natalia remained smiling, but there was a change enough for Collard to shut her mouth.

"This is a bad place. Would you follow me?

"... yes"

Collard nods honestly, prompted by a smile. Start walking at a heavy pace, following Natalia, who started walking toward the entrance to the restaurant.

"Er... Mr. Collard? Looks like you didn't invite me anyway...."

Until then, Reurus had been watching the situation, but he couldn't help but call ahead to dinner. Then Collard looked at Reurus with a grudge.

"You're not aiming for this... no, it's not. If he is, by the time I stepped foot in this town... he had already visited me before..."

Collard murmured as he lost sight of Reurus. I felt something approaching there, and I couldn't find a word to use as a revulsion.

Still trying to say something, Natalia's voice echoes to control it.

"Guys, I'm sorry about the meal. I'll take care of the money here."

That's how Natalia handed over the gold coins to Corona next to her, leaving Dominic's restaurant behind. Collard also disappeared after that, but it was a realuse that could not be followed.

The day after dawn.

Reurus, accompanied by Neddy, stretched his legs from morning to the forest south.

I don't know what's going on with Collard, but I've been trying to do some routine training here lately.

"... you're still on time today."

But there was a Collard in the woods used for training. Wearing protective equipment that looks like an adventurer as usual, he holds a training sword.

"... good morning"

"Hmm...."

As Reurus greeted him, Collard nodded heavily.

"What's your name?

"Yes... no, uh-uh"

As Neddy greeted him, Collard nodded slightly before rushing off. Reurus leaned his neck inside out in response to the Collard reaction.

(This guy, you realize Neddy is a spiritual... what did he do to you that it was so easy for you to burst out...)

Reurus was also slightly aware, but Collard's attitude towards Neddy was strange. However, the attitude towards Natalia last night seems to be nothing but an error.

Is it the illusion of Reurus' eyes that he seems to have lost weight after only one night?

"... is it okay to ask about last night?

"That's... no, I can't say anything from my mouth. You may be curious, but now focus on the training right in front of you. You're gonna get hurt if you're not feeling it.

After all, Collard shuts his mouth and doesn't say anything.

(Well, if there's anything else, would you like me to call you?)

Though worried, Reurus trusts Natalia. Natalia will talk if she needs to and will not talk if she does not.

I can assure you that, as a fellow of the abandoned city of Laval or from our previous relationships.

Well then, thank you again for today. Are we meeting again after pretending?

With that said, Reurus stood up on a nearby tree with a 'dragon slash' on his back and tried to start a preparatory movement, but Collard shook his neck sideways.

"No, from now on, we will train with that great sword."

"Are we meeting with this sword?

"... if you do that, my sword will be cut the moment you catch it."

Collard says so with a distant eye, but immediately recovers and coughs up.

"I have shaken my sword for the past three weeks, but is that the big sword you will use? For the record, are you willing to change your weapon or have more than one?

"I don't... see. I don't have any more partners than this sword, and even if I use it, it's like a dagger."

There will rarely be a sword with more strength and sharpness than the Dragon Slash. I am also attached to Reurus, and if I can't use Dragon Slash to win, I have no choice but to cut it off.

"Besides, if it's a training sword, he won't hesitate to use multiple swords."

"... is that so?"

Reurus is deeply in love with the great sword "Dragon Slasher". But I didn't think I had the dexterity to carry more than one sword and use it according to the situation.

"It's terrible to cut out a story like that... but I've noticed a lot about your way of fighting."

"Have you noticed...?

"Hmm... I'm sure you're aware, but your way of fighting is nothing more than polishing your monster opponent. It's hard to get through to someone with superior technology... is that good enough?

That's what Collard said, Reurus nods honestly. It was painful for a long time.

"Besides... well, what's wrong... with the weapon?"

Looking at Reurus's face, Collard said it was very difficult to say.

Reurus' cheeks moved slightly, but Collard wouldn't say anything meaningless. Judge that way and wait for the story to continue.

"When it comes to sharpness and robustness, it's nothing but... it's a noble treasure to be convinced of. But it's simply too big."

…………

Reurus, who heard Collard's words, lay his eyes down quietly.

"I've been taking care of you for the last three weeks or so, and I get it. As long as it is a monster opponent that has a large tendency compared to humans, it is excessive to shake humans against them. Besides, your way of fighting is too conscious to wave a great sword."

"I guess..."

"It would be nice if you were aware of it. Whether you swing your sword big or step too far, it's premised on swinging your big sword."

The point is plausible, and there is nothing to contest as a Reurus.

Since becoming an adventurer - to be precise, defeating Kimira and becoming a "full member of the abandoned city of Laval” - Reurus has continued to wave his great sword.

I waved the great sword that Dominic gave me, and even if it broke in battle with Vanille, I waved the great sword even if it was of poor quality until I got the Dragon Slash, which I always had after I got the Dragon Slash.

I used a dagger to aid in battle, but it wasn't that thoughtful.

"Your magic will give you enough physical abilities to use the Great Sword. But it will only work if the usual user is skilled."

That reminds Reurus of Gregorians like Canna and Laurent.

Kanna used a small dagger, and Laurent also used a curved knife and a "small circle” that was easy to use. The first Gregorian priest, Villa, also used daggers.

Gilba and Rebecca, who fight with bare hands, are the exception, but the blade span and weight are all small compared to Reurus' Dragon Slash.

Is this Collard's advice to use other weapons?

That's what I thought, Reurus, but I noticed something strange.

"... hmm? Are you going to use this sword to train you, even though you can't use it more than usual?

When asked what that meant, Collard returned a bitter smile.

"It's a simple story. If it doesn't work, make sure it works. That's what training is for?

It's Collard, to put it mildly, but as a revulsion, it's not immediately convincing. Still, there seems to be some sort of prediction in Kohlrad.

"You have a hand that makes the most of your natural way of fighting. Make the foundation for that."

Collard affirms that with a strange mood.

Reurus nodded with wonder at the state of Collard.

I mean, it's going to be real soon.

Maybe Natalia blew something in. Reurus thought so in the corner of his head, but quickly dispersed the idea.

If there's anything, Natalia will tell you. If you don't say anything, you don't have to.

Reurus judged it that way, putting his temper into the 'Dragon Slash'.

"Good evening, boy. Are you free tonight?

----That night, Natalia invited me to her home, and I had no reason to know about Reurus at this time.
