A Chronicle of Life in a Different World

Episode 329: Prep Part 1

The same day Reurus and the others went to the cathedral.

Natalia entrusted the king to Collard, and was shaken by a carriage as she walked through the city of King's Landing.

"King's Landing won't change....."

"Ha... that's right."

Collard answers in awe of Natalia's murmuring voice. Natalia was manipulating the carriage or the rope carefully, and her gaze was constantly checking the surroundings and caution was taken not to stop or start suddenly.

"But because it was good? No matter how much Gilba is accompanying us, sending Reurus to that cathedral...."

It's not like silence is hard on each other, but Collard asks if he was worried because it's a corner.

It is the Great Church that governs the spirituals of the King's City, and hence the spirituals throughout Mataroi. And Sofia, who was a spiritual teacher at the cathedral, was also a sort of “celebrity”, with some more doubts in Collard's voice.

"Oh, are you worried about Reurus and the others?

Hearing Natalia's teasing words, Collard wandered his gaze as he manipulated the rope.

"It's not like that... I'm not saying no..."

"Fufu... did you change your mind? You've been taking care of yourself for a long time."

The voice of Natalia is somehow gentle. As a result, Collard could only shrug his shoulders uncomfortably.

Regardless of position or position, it would be inappropriate to say that age is applied to the lower Natalia. Still, Collard doesn't feel uncomfortable and can only shrink his body.

For Collard, Natalia hits someone who can't even lift his head. It's not about age, it's about stacking up until then.

"Well, if it comes out, it's Sophia, not the Spirit. Then we'll figure it out."

"... I suppose you're the only one who can say that to him."

"Do you think His Majesty can say that?

"The comparison target is strange... it's really strange..."

Collard wonders if Reurus and the others are really okay.

I'm not worried about force, but force is not important in King's Landing. A variety of factors are important: position, family, courtesy, and political power.

From Collard's eyes, Reurus is somehow dull around here. The position was still good, but it was the adventurer's identity and strange sensitivity that was flawed in the balls.

As an adventurer when a serf was born, he is unnaturally polite or knowledgeable. Even when I taught him the sword, I was able to observe and grasp it to some extent when I traveled together in search of a unicorn.

There is really no problem with force. Collard boasts that fine dust is not inferior in terms of technology, but I think it will slightly exceed himself in terms of fighting alone.

We're still halfway there, but we'll still have people like Jilba and Natalia on the other side of the Wall. As a collard, I can't help but be jealous if I have all that talent.

However, I get the impression that jealousy and sympathy are offset and nothing can be said about being involved in various troubles due to that talent.

"... Jilba is here, can you do something?"

Collard closed his mouth like that. However, Natalia had different opinions and looked in the direction of progress.

"Well... how about that? Because it's about Gilba, I think it's a good opportunity to teach you about Spiritualism, so I might be able to let the Reurus alone meet Lord Sofia.

"Are you teaching spiritualism...?

It is a Reurus that shows a distorted knowledge bias from Collard's perspective, but there is no need to teach more about Spiritualism now. There are also teachers nearby dressed as Zilba and Ester.

In other words, there is something in Spiritualism that “doesn't even know Collard” and it is disclosed.

"You want to hear it?

"I don't want to hear it."

Collard answered Natalia with a smile.

It is a topic that obviously smells of trouble. The instincts that had been involved in fighting and politics as knights sounded a fierce alarm that they should not be heard.

"Yes... but I'm bored, so I guess I'll just leave you alone."

"Please stop!?

Collard desperately stopped Natalia with a girlish smile. It is better to have a lot of information, but it is better to have less trouble.

"I'm kidding. But I think you'll find out someday... and you're a good person. Even if I didn't tell you, you're not guessing to some extent?

"Even so, the fact that you don't know or have never heard of it is important!

Collard can probably guess what information Natalia has. Still, Natalia's laughter was even stronger when she closed her ear that there were better things to know in the world.

Hearing the laughter, Collard murmured to change the subject.

You've been laughing a lot lately, Captain.

Really?

Natalia's eyes turned round just to say something unexpected. Collard nodded loudly as he looked at Natalia's reaction.

"Yeah, she's laughing at me like my shoulders are falling off."

"... yes. Me too."

That makes Natalia smile bitterly.

"It's been a long time since I've been in King's Landing and I'm relieved... that I've met some of my old acquaintances"

In Natalia's words, Collard remembered the man who carried him yesterday and today.

The throne, whether in active or retired service, showed its face to those involved in the national army - the general who led the army, his deputy, and even his former subordinates.

Some of them departed King's Landing in their work, but Natalia and those who met each other were all surprised, and rejoiced at the same time.

He is a former colleague, and sometimes we arranged each other on the battlefield. It was more obvious from Collard, who served as his subordinate, that Natalia was happy than seeing fire.

The bond that Natalia had grown up in King's Landing had not faded over time. I think so, too, as a collard.

However, those who ordered the captain of the Third Magic Corps to succeed Natalia turned pale when they saw Natalia.

"But that's how I get out of my mind..." That's all I got. "This is the real thing."

Collard nodded sympathetically many times, but returned to me in Natalia's words. Natalia met her former colleagues and comrades for a short time, and she promised to meet again, but this time she didn't come to King's Landing to warm up her old relationship.

The carriage driven by Collard arrived ahead of a mansion. The mansion, which was built in the area where the aristocrats lived, was no different in size from the surroundings and more than twice as large as the house Natalia rented.

"--I 've been waiting for you."

And there was a man in front of the mansion. It was Sebastian, the man in the butler's clothes, who greeted Natalia and the others.

"Thank you. Can you give me a tour?

"I was afraid. This way, please."

Sebastian begins to lead the carriage by thanking him again without a break.

Following their backs, Natalia and Collard set foot in the villa of the Viscount Verge.

"This is the first time I've seen you in person. This is Luis-Vis-El-Sin-Verg."

"Thank you very much. This is Natalia-Banetes-Marelli-Amendora."

Natalia and Louis smile friendly.

Natalia was passed by a reception room in the residence of the Viscount Verge, and Collard did not accompany him from his position.

It was Louis and Anemone, the three of Sebastian who guided Natalia to this place, who were in the docking room when she stepped in on her own.

"I'm sorry I suddenly pushed you the other day. Reurus, I overheard you were in King's Landing and came to see you."

"No, I apologize for not hiring one of my maids and for not welcoming me."

As a literal greeting, Natalia and Louis threw words at each other with smiles on their faces.

When he greets her gently, Lewis invites Natalia to the couch in front of him, and Natalia sits up honestly. Then Louis sat down opposite Natalia and gazed at Sebastian.

"Excuse me."

That said, Sebastian prepares tea with little noise. The technique was perfect from Natalia's eyes and revealed an admirable voice.

"The Vicomte de Velg has a wonderful squire."

"If you say so, your nose is tall."

Louis deepens his smile in praise of Natalia and Sebastian silently greets him. Sebastian prepared Natalia's tea, but Anemone prepared Lewis's tea. That's because the seasons are different, and the work is a few steps inferior to Sebastian's.

That's how they came in from a light chat, but drinking tea with each other slightly tightens the atmosphere.

"Lord Lewis... no, should I call you Count Werg or Count Werg?”

"I haven't replaced it yet, so please feel free to call Louis. If you could name a beautiful woman like you, I wouldn't be more happy than this."

In response to Natalia's words, Louis answered with a bright smile. And now Lewis speaks to Natalia.

"Should I call you Baron Amendora?”

"Please feel free to call me Natalia."

"It's an honor. It will be a lifetime of praise for men, such as the" wind dust "and the ability to call the talented lady by name."

We exchange information in the name of restraint while laughing at each other. However, along the way, Natalia's consciousness was directed to Anemone, who was behind Lewis.

(Phew... that girl...)

She smiles so as not to be rude as a samurai, but she feels slightly unhappy.

(... you're young.)

Natalia spotted Anemone's mood with her observation eye, but decided to leave her alone because it was unlikely to be poison or medicine.

"I really wanted to see you again. Thanks to you Reurus under Lord Natalia, my sister is well, and I wanted to thank you."

It was a profitable story, too.

Natalia smiles. Looking at Natalia's smile, Louis smiled unexpectedly.

"………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… From now on, I'd like to talk to you with a little hunger....."

"Yeah, that's what I'd like."

Natalia nodded with a smile, wearing a mask as a baron rather than an individual.
