First, Reurus walks around the town's planned construction site with Sarah to explore signs of underground sewerage.

Perhaps because of that, but confirming that there was a slight "seemingly” discomfort, Eliza and the dwarves were taken upstream to the river near the town's planned construction site.

Follow a trail like a veterinary path that existed in the woods and rely on the map left by Collard to get to your destination in less than enough time.

There was a river that was nearly ten meters wide, and the fish swimming in the gentle flow looked pleasant. There was only a depth of more than one meter in the deep place, but the water was clear and it seemed like it could be drunk as it was.

These lattices don't look broken, and given the width of the lattice, it's unlikely that a black snake broke in from this location. Moreover, the lattice was engraved with the "magic letter" of "reinforcement", so that it could not be broken by the semi-subsistent force.

(I wish I could pull a canal near the town and build a sewer from there into the ground... that would make it easier for me to get into the town. If you make it so well, it's going to be so narrow that humans can't get through it...)

That said, Neddy stepped into the shallow waters of the river. Within seconds, the water of the river moves like an animal. Instead of magically producing water, they are manipulating it just as they did when they saved the water shortage in the Waste City of Laval.

"When we get downstream, will Sarah shoot the magic in the sky and drain the water?

When Reurus asked, Neddy nodded small. Confirming that, Reurus left about three Dwarves with Meer as Neddy's escort and ran back toward town.

Then look at the map and navigate to the middle of the sewer to find a nearby toilet site. There's a hole in the sewer, so let Eliza shoot lightning magic into it.

"The snake... okay, it won't come out. Or is this hole too small to go through....."

Eliza waited in town until the signal rose because it was too far from the sewer entrance. I heard a slight sound of water flowing through the hole I found, whether it was properly connected to the sewer. This is the town, so the dwarves are temporarily stopping and waiting. If a black snake popped up, I would have surrounded it and slapped it.

Even if the black snake pops out, Collard will defeat it. Reurus decided to take Sarah and three Dwarves to the sewer exit.

Just as you head for the entrance, it's not enough to go through the forest. Reus arrives downstream of the river, passing through a narrow path that makes people think it was once a beast path.

Looking around, I found a stone tunnel similar to the sewer entrance that was built upstream. Reurus rushed quickly, but checked inside the tunnel and raised his eyebrows.

"Oh... you don't have a lattice over here?

Unlike the entrance, there was no metal lattice at the exit. I don't know if it was broken or not originally installed, but a tunnel the size of which the black snake could penetrate opened its mouth completely.

"Which one... ah, it hasn't been installed since before. If it's broken, there must be traces of the surrounding stone."

Like Reurus, one of the dwarfs peeked into the tunnel and said so. The gaze is directed at a cobblestone where water does not contaminate the soil, but there appears to be no sign of a lattice.

When Reurus calls out, Sarah throws a ball of fire at the sky. To make it easier for Neddy and Eliza to notice, a series of fireballs burst into the air, making a roar.

When you wait on the spot for a while, the amount of water flowing out of the sewer increases at once.

Was it not used by so many people in the “last” development, or was it because water was constantly flowing? The color is not so turbid that it can be called dirty water, and the smell is not strong.

(Mr. Collard also said that the "magic letter" of "detoxification" is engraved, but does it work like disinfection? Magic is awesome...)

With that in mind, Reurus waits for the situation to change.

"Wow! I'm scared!

For a short time, Sarah shouted in surprise as she stepped into the river. It seems that Eliza has struck lightning magic, and Reurus will try to confirm it by pushing his first hand into the river. Then tingling and numbness appeared like an electric bath.

Apparently, in case the Black Snake was lurking, Eliza used all her might to shoot lightning magic. Reurus, who realized that, drew the sword of the "neck hunt" with a bitter smile. "Dragon Slash" seems to cut off the entire channel because the sword is too long.

The water coming out of the sewer outlet increases or decreases irregularly. At the same time, magic was felt from the back of the tunnel, and Reus stood next to the sewer exit and shook up the sword of the "neck hunt".

It was the black snake that jumped out of the tunnel in a hurry. Compared to what we have seen so far, it is slightly smaller, about 70 centimeters wide and not more than 10 meters long.

"Hmm!

Then, the moment he checked the head of the black snake, Reus waved down the sword of the "neck hunting". And when I flipped the neck of a black snake like a guillotine, I noticed that a “refill” was coming, and I immediately shook up my sword.

Though he was strangled, the body of a black snake was discharged from the sewer on a stream of water. Behind it is a black serpent the same size, and Reurus once again waves down the sword of the "neck hunter" and shakes his neck.

"Koyahide....."

Reurus slashes the neck of the black snake from one to the next, and dwarfs murmuring in amazement as they look at such a reurus. Still, the body and head of the Black Snake that Reurus took down are well recovered.

Apparently, the sewer was a black snake nest, and about seven black snakes of various sizes emerged. Surprised by the sudden lightning strikes, he must have tried to escape to a safe place. If Reurus hadn't waited there, he would have escaped.

But as a result, the escaped black snakes were all strangled.

Reurus, who did the “same thing” again to be careful and confirmed that the black snake would not come out, returned to town.

Reurus and Sarah moved over town again to explore the magic and heat sources, but the Black Snake seems to have been exterminated and I didn't feel any signs of discomfort.

However, as the Black Snake may settle again, we will ask Calvin and the others to build a lattice similar to the entrance to the sewer outlet. By connecting directly to the safety of the town, Collard also acknowledged and handed in a small amount of iron among the materials brought here.

Other intrusions are troublesome, but that fear is denied by Neddy.

"... I don't think there's a hole in the way because the water has flowed“ beautifully ”..."

"Shouldn't it be the same in your stomach?

That's how Collard stopped Reurus. It would be nice to wash the leather and sell it off after peeling it off, but even though the only thing I ate was Reus, it was confusing to eat it as it was.

Reurus sees Collard with his discarded puppy-like eyes, but Collard keeps stopping with his true face.

"I don't think I'll be all right with Reurus, but I'm really worried about getting sick under the circumstances...."

Sarah and the others stopped laughing bitterly, even though she didn't say that everything would be solved if she burned it. Hearing that, Reurus saw the body of the black snake that had been brought here with thick wrinkles between his eyebrows.

"Goddamn it... I wish I could eat it..."

Eliza is right, it would be dangerous for her to leave in this situation. Reurus looked at the body of the black snake with sad eyes.

"Could there be many other monsters? There's still some frozen stuff in there.

It's Collard who gently talks, but maybe he's getting used to dealing with Reurus. By reminding me of other “foods”, I turned my mind to you.

Reurus sighed deeply and decided to give up eating the black snake that came out of the sewer. Instead, it is a waste and a new processing method is proposed.

"Can I use this meat here? And was there a place in the woods near this town that was big enough to swing a sword?

"Why should I feed on the flesh of this monster and guide it to you?"

If he said he shouldn't eat it, Reurus thought it would be a “bait” for other monsters. If you hunt the tempted monster, you will be able to eat it without stopping.
