A Dragon against the Whole World

Chapter 664 - 406: Old Golden Dragon’s Might and Temptation (Part 2)

With his shrewd eyes that have witnessed over seven hundred years, he could naturally tell at a glance that three of the pairs were just finely crafted fakes.

Parading around with a few fake dragon horns, what’s the point?

This rebellious son, wandering outside all these years, surely hasn’t accumulated any proper dragon life experience, only some crooked ways... Ovis felt a surge of mixed disdain and helplessness in his heart.

But right now, he had more important matters and decided to set this aside for the time being.

He would properly educate Alberto once they returned to the Dragon Domain.

"You two, stop standing here like two door panels."

As soon as his words fell, a force arose out of nowhere, pushing Nasha and Alberto aside, preventing them from blocking the view, thus fully exposing the Red Iron Dragon that had been behind them.

"You, Galos, the dragon burdened with the blood of both the Red Dragon and the Iron Dragon."

"Was it you, wearing my ’Only I am Venerable Dragon Emperor Armor,’ who slaughtered a human legendary here?"

The Old Golden Dragon’s gaze, full of scrutiny, fell upon Galos, lingering for a moment especially on those parts of him that had evolved and differed structurally from ordinary Giant Dragons, like his Dragon Wings and Scale Armor.

"Yes, Elder Ovis."

Galos slightly lowered his massive head to show basic courtesy to elders and legends, his voice steady, neither appearing humble nor arrogant, maintaining an unyielding attitude.

While being scrutinized by the other, he was quietly observing this suddenly arrived Legendary Golden Dragon.

The other party came with obvious fury but after arriving at the Silent Plain and taking in the sights, he managed to control his emotions and regain calm and composure in a very short time.

Moreover, he determined at a glance that he and the legendary human were the core focus of this battle.

What was more noteworthy was that when his gaze swept over the many evil dragons present, including himself, he did not show obvious hostility or murderous intent, appearing quite peaceful.

Through these subtle observations, Galos sketched out a rough character profile of the Old Golden Dragon in his mind.

Calm, composed, with strong emotional control, and possessing shrewd and precise insight.

"Able to independently slay a famed legend, and although appearing severely injured, life force remains vigorous and abundant."

The Old Golden Dragon stared at Galos, suddenly letting out a cold laugh of ambiguous meaning, continuing to say, "Heh, such an exceptionally potential evil dragon must not be left alive; it’s better to eliminate it in advance to prevent future troubles."

A potent dragon aura instantly enveloped the Red Iron Dragon.

It’s intangible, yet substantial, distinctly different from the majesty of a non-legendary Giant Dragon.

Crackling... a faint noise emitted from Galos’ surface.

Besides the mental deterrence, he could clearly feel as if an invisible gigantic claw formed purely of dragon power was gripping his body, slowly tightening!

Under this pressure, many of his sword-wound scars crumbled again, seeping strands of boiling Dragon Blood.

Meanwhile, Galos did not panic, baring teeth and roaring, nor did he attempt to turn around and flee.

His Dragon Blood ignited into flames, resisting the Golden Dragon’s power.

However, other Giant Dragons of the Molten Iron Tribe were not as calm as he.

Almost the instant Ovis concentrated his dragon power on Galos, the Dragon Group let out enraged roars, flapping their wings, converging behind the King of Molten Iron, and then each displayed their sharp fangs, with Dragon Eyes burning with hostility and battle spirit, ready and waiting, as if just awaiting the King of Molten Iron’s command to surround and attack the Legendary Golden Dragon.

"These dragons are not an unorganized mob."

"They hold an almost blind trust in this Red Iron Dragon."

Observing this scene, Ovis quickly made a judgment in his heart again.

"Why aren’t you fleeing?"

The Old Golden Dragon’s gaze, as sharp as a sword, fixed on Galos, asked in a deep voice.

His dragon power surged like a tide, growing stronger with each wave.

"Do you not fear that I’ll kill you? Or has the fluke of slaying a feeble human legendary given rise to the absurd illusion that you can oppose me?!"

The Red Iron Dragon, in the center of legendary oppression, remained composed,

He said, "Elder Ovis, I’ve heard about your feats multiple times from Alberto and Nasha."

"They all say you are a wise and justice-upholding Golden Dragon, advocating fairness throughout your life, enjoying punishing the wicked, maintaining order, possessing a distinct and clear judgment, never indiscriminately slaughtering the innocent, and being highly respected and loved among your kin in the Dragon Domain."

"For such a dragon, I have nothing but respect, with no reason to flee."

Showing just the right amount of deference towards elders, maintaining composure in the face of crisis... these are appreciated reactions among Metal Dragons, especially older Golden Dragons, who uphold order and wisdom.

Galos, well-versed in dragon nature and adept in Dragon Taming Technique, knew this very well deep down.

Beside him, Nasha and Alberto, whose names were mentioned, subconsciously exchanged a glance, their eyes expressing a hint of puzzled oddity.

They indeed mentioned some things about their Dragon Father to Galos.

However, in Alberto’s words, their Dragon Father often came across as "vulgar," "pedantic," "overly meddlesome"; whereas in Nasha’s descriptions, Dragon Father often appeared "exaggerated," "unorthodox."

Wisdom and justice?

Highly respected and loved?

Perhaps in other dragons’ eyes, Elder Ovis indeed had such reputations, but they had never beautified their father in such a manner in front of Galos.
