Chapter 563 - 374: The Mad King Is Dead; The Territory Rightfully Belongs to Me!
"I know better than any Dragon how to manage a Dragon Group; in this regard, no other Dragon needs to worry."
The Blue Dragon Leader interrupted Galos sharply.
"The issue we need to resolve now focuses on those traitors."
He brought back the topic, with an increasingly deep voice, saying, "Hand over those four traitors from Heryam, a total of four Giant Dragons, I will pay you their weight in gold as a reward for helping me retrieve the traitors."
When the Dominican Dragon Group was entrenched in the coastal region, they discovered and controlled a large gold mine.
The least they lacked was these gleaming metals.
Frankly speaking, the price offered by the Heart of Thunder, for many profit-driven, greedy Giant Dragons, is already quite tempting, likely inducing them to nod and agree.
However, Galos was not one of those short-sighted types.
He ruled the Dragon Group, relying not only on powerful deterrence but also on his own charm that made him worthy of trust and follow by his subordinates.
If he easily handed over members of his group for some seemingly bountiful gold, letting them be publicly executed by other Dragon Groups, how would the other members of the Dragon Group view him?
The Giant Dragons who follow him, those Followers who swear their loyalty.
Their inner trust and loyalty would inevitably produce irreparable cracks.
"The so-called traitors in your mouth, in my eyes, are merely poor young dragons forced by a harsh environment, having to flee their native Dragon Group to seek a glimmer of hope."
Galos’s tone was level.
He continued, "Considering your Dragon Group sheltered my submembers for a period, I can offer you compensation."
He proposed his plan, "Accept the compensation, and this matter will be settled once and for all."
"Afterward, our two major Dragon Groups can sit down and discuss the possibility of forming an alliance to jointly explore the rich resources and opportunities in the wilderness. What do you think of this proposal?"
The Blue Dragon Leader did not hesitate.
He decided firmly, "We can explore the possibility of an alliance."
"But before that, executing the traitors is a prerequisite that must be completed; rules are rules, and there is no room for negotiation on this."
His attitude was very firm.
After briefly pausing, the Blue Dragon Leader continued, "They are merely four insignificant juvenile Dragons. Are they really important to your Ignas Dragon Group?"
"Hand them over."
"This will not cause you any substantial loss, yet you will gain abundant gold and friendship with our Dominican Dragon Group, my friendship."
The Red Iron Dragon shook its head.
He said, "Regarding this matter, my attitude is just like yours just now—non-negotiable."
In essence, he was also a very formidable Dragon leader.
Occasional patience and concession were all due to expedients in the face of absolute disparity in strength.
While the Blue Dragon Leader Peregrine was indeed powerful, he was not strong enough to make Galos feel the necessity to flee.
Crack!
On the other end, the Blue Dragon Leader’s expression was blank, and the electric current swirling on his claw surged uncontrollably. The surface of the Alchemy Tool was instantly filled with cracks, then in a series of faint explosions, it completely shattered into powder.
Simultaneously.
The Alchemy Tool in front of Galos also turned dim and colorless.
The dialogue between the two sides thus interrupted, coming to an abrupt end.
This negotiation concerning the destiny of four young Dragons and the future relations between two major Dragon Groups ended in disillusionment.
Throughout the negotiation, Blue Dragon Zoraya listened intently, silently present, with emotions fluctuating internally.
As the conversation progressed, she was surprised to find that the formidable King of Molten Iron did not seem to intend to expose her or use her as a bargaining chip.
This made her, amid confusion, faintly nurture a fragile hope.
"Your father, Thundering Heart Peregrine, does he have any hidden weaknesses, or habitual flaws in combat?"
While Zoraya was lost in thought, the deep tone of the Red Iron Dragon unexpectedly sounded in her ears.
Then, even though the King of Molten Iron did not explicitly accept her proposal, Zoraya almost without hesitation divulged everything she knew about her father.
Including his customary combat opening, preferences for certain skills, slight delays that might occur after prolonged combat, previously exposed trump cards, and certain habits that even Peregrine might not have realized.
She disclosed everything, without holding back.
After a moment.
The Red Iron Dragon pondered for a while and then addressed Zoraya, saying, "You may leave, return to your Dominican Dragon Group."
Zoraya’s dragon face revealed hesitation and unease.
Unable to resist, she asked, "What do you wish for me to do after returning?"
The Red Iron Dragon’s gaze swept over her, saying, "Do as you wish, whatever you want to do, then go and do it."
This reply was filled with uncertainty, yet it further ignited the weak flame of hope in Zoraya’s heart.
She nodded heavily, as if she understood something, then slowly stepped back, swung her wide sky-blue Dragon Wings, her body gradually ascended into the air, eventually blending into the black night and the heavy snow, flying towards her origin.
High in the air, the fierce cold wind rushed.
Zoraya turned her head back, once again looking at that imposing Dragon Shadow.
She increasingly sensed the strength and majesty of this King of Molten Iron, while also finding it hard to fathom, deep and inscrutable.
Dragon Valley, valley bottom.
The Red Iron Dragon watched as the silhouette of Zoraya gradually smallened, finally disappearing over the distant horizon.
"Dominican Dragon Group... if it can be controlled, perhaps the Molten Iron Tribe can advance towards broader lands."
He contemplatively mused.
The kings of other regions did not believe that the King of Molten Iron, after controlling the entire Northwest Region, would be satisfied with the status quo and content with managing it.
It turns out they were not wrong.
Galos desires to tread into the Legendary Domain at a faster pace or at least quickly elevate his life level to the peak of level 20.
Besides the need for sweat and talent, abundant resources are equally indispensable.
The choice to solidify the territory was initially due to the insufficient manpower under his command, making further expansion hard to manage, but if the timing is right and conditions permit, Galos would not mind if his subordinates’ territories are more vast, controlling richer resources.
At the very least, the currently ownerless wilderness Central Region, he wants to seize it.
Now that the Mad King is dead, the place he once rampaged should naturally be inherited by Galos.
