Chapter 597 - 385: She-Dragon, You’re Playing with Fire!
"Cease your futile struggle."
Galos’s deep voice echoed across the ground.
He sensed a bloodline aura on her that was strikingly similar to Alberto’s, and guessed her origins and identity, so he didn’t use excessive force, merely suppressing her.
"Inherently evil Red Iron Dragon! Release me!"
Nasha struggled fiercely, her long dragon tail adorned with golden scales striking the frozen ground beneath her, producing deep drum-like thuds, yet she couldn’t shake the Red Iron Giant Dragon off her at all. He felt heavier than a mountain.
The sudden attack of the Golden Dragon and the subsequent struggle and resistance.
A few more veins appeared in Galos’s hidden bloodshot eyes, and the flame of madness became a bit more lively.
He slowly extended his huge menacing head, drawing close to the Golden Dragon pinned beneath him.
His voice was deep and dangerous, saying, "Female dragon, with such behavior, you are playing with fire. Are you trying to catch my interest? Haha, you are about to succeed."
The invasive hot breath was just inches away.
Nasha’s mind went blank instantly, her whole body stiffening involuntarily, momentarily forgetting to continue to struggle and resist.
Elsewhere.
Alberto crawled out from the smoke and dust where he had collided in Dragon Valley, shaking off his still somewhat dazed head.
He flapped his wings and flew into the sky, immediately spotting his valiant sister clad in golden armor, and the Red Iron Dragon pressing her down aggressively.
Nonetheless, he displayed no sign of urgency or anger.
Alberto first brushed off the dust and broken scales from his body, tidied himself up, then leisurely flapped his wings over.
His movements were unhurried, showing no intent to rush forward to help.
In the years when Alberto had not yet matured, during his most rebellious phase, he had often been disciplined for arguing with his parents and other kin.
Counting precisely, he had been beaten by Nasha even more than by his parents combined.
And this dragon sister often hit harder than the parents.
So, seeing the usually dominant sister so greatly disadvantaged, and ensuring her life wasn’t in danger, Alberto couldn’t help but feel a schadenfreude deep within.
No bad deed goes unpunished, time will come sooner or later.
Now it’s your turn?
Alberto leisurely flew closer, landing beside the two entangled dragons, casually watching Nasha pressed to the ground, his eyes full of mockery and teasing.
"Isn’t this my dear sister Nasha? What happened, charging boldly in worn armor left by the old man, only to end up being rubbed into the ground?"
"Ah, the ground is cold, lying there too long isn’t good."
He paused deliberately, continuing, "Oh, sorry, I forgot, it’s not that you don’t want to get up, but that you can’t get up."
Her body was pinned tight, dignity seemingly trampled, coupled with her brother’s taunts, humiliation and anger erupted like a volcano within Nasha.
She snapped back to her senses and struggled even more frantically.
The Golden Dragon roared at Alberto, "Alberto! Have you been controlled by this evil dragon’s wicked magic?! Hurry and help me, together we can deal with this evil dragon."
Alberto shook his head.
"I’m very clear-headed, Nasha, my foolish and reckless sister."
"It’s you who needs to wake up and recognize reality."
He tilted his head, explaining, "Stop acting like a cat whose tail’s been stepped on. This is completely a misunderstanding. Galos isn’t the nefarious evil dragon you think. We were in the sky earlier, merely training and sparring."
"He is my ally, a partner I acknowledge."
Just then, Blue Dragon Zoraya and Red Silver Dragon Deborah also beat their dragon wings, flying over and landing nearby.
Red Silver Dragon Deborah gracefully folded her wings, the silvery and honey-colored scale armor shimmering beautifully against the snowy backdrop.
"Miss Golden Dragon, I believe there’s a significant misunderstanding here. Although Galos looks... intimidating, we might even say a bit ruthless, he isn’t the wicked kind of dragon you imagine."
She spoke, her voice pleasant and soothing.
"Judging a dragon’s allegiance cannot solely be based on appearance, can it?"
Blue Dragon Zoraya’s voice was colder, more straightforward. Her sharp gaze swept past the subdued Nasha, bluntly stating, "If the leader really intended to kill you, you’d already be a corpse by now, rather than having the chance to question and struggle here."
Nasha listened to their dialogue and felt the powerful restraint that held her without further harm begin to ease the boiling anger and humiliation within her.
Reason started to take control.
She forced herself to calm down and looked carefully at Alberto on the side.
Her brother, though looking disheveled, covered with crisscross wounds, and with scales broken and bleeding everywhere, appeared extremely wretched, but his expression was as foolish as ever, and his injuries, despite their grim appearance, hadn’t hit any vital part or bone, not like he was under control or abuse.
Could it be, as they say, that I’ve misunderstood?
Galos, sensing the strength of the Golden Dragon’s struggle diminishing and her boiling hostility subsiding, slowly released his grip on her neck and dragon wings, standing up and stepping back a few paces.
