Faye Jennings peeked out from behind a large tree and saw Holly Summers strolling slowly in her direction. Faye froze. Her first thought was, ’If Holly’s out here, doesn’t that mean Seth Quinn and Clara Grant are alone in the room?’

’Is Holly deliberately creating an opportunity for Clara to be alone with Seth? Ugh, what a suck-up!’

Faye Jennings’s mind raced. She gently wiped away her tears, her expression turning cold. ’I’ve been wanting to deal with Holly for a while. Now that she’s served herself up on a platter, how could I possibly pass up this chance?’

With that thought, she stepped out from behind the tree and walked toward Holly.

Holly had thought the area was empty and was planning to go sit under that same large tree for a bit. After all, it wasn’t long until the afternoon shoot.

But when she looked up, she saw Faye Jennings heading her way. She paused for a moment, but only a second, before continuing straight ahead.

The two drew closer and closer. Although Holly didn’t like Faye Jennings, they had never had a direct confrontation. So, after a moment’s thought, she decided to offer a token greeting.

But before she could speak, Faye Jennings gave her a dismissive glance and brushed past her. In the split second their shoulders met, Faye slammed hard into her.

Holly staggered from the impact. Before she could even process what happened, she saw Faye lunge toward the ground and fall flat.

Holly was stunned. ’Didn’t Faye Jennings bump into *me*? How did the one who did the bumping end up on the ground?’

While she was still dazed, Faye Jennings looked up at her with feigned indignation. "Holly Summers, why did you deliberately trip me?"

Holly was even more bewildered. When had she ever deliberately tripped her? It was clearly Faye who had bumped into her!

She instinctively argued, "I didn’t trip you. You fell because you were the one who bumped into me."

Faye Jennings was already getting to her feet, her posture still elegant, without a hint of embarrassment. She dusted herself off, looked at Holly, and a cold smirk played on her lips. "Is that so? Then why am I the one who fell?"

Looking at her expression, Holly suddenly realized. ’Faye Jennings did this on purpose! She deliberately bumped into me, deliberately fell, and then framed me for tripping her!’

"Faye Jennings, if you want to pick a fight with me, just do it. Why bother with such a clumsy pretext? It’s just the two of us here; there’s no audience for your show." ’Since Clara and I are so close, Faye Jennings must have had it out for me for a while, just waiting for a chance to teach me a lesson, right?’

’Hmph, but teaching me a lesson won’t be that easy. I might just be an insignificant actress compared to an A-list star like her, but I, Holly Summers, am not afraid of her!’

"Heh, you’re smarter than you look. But if you’re going to put on a show, you have to see it through to the end for it to be satisfying." As Faye Jennings spoke, she jerked her chin up, her expression severe and her voice hard. "Holly Summers, don’t think you can act like you own the place on set and at the company just because you’ve cozied up to Clara Grant."

"Who the hell do you think you are, daring to scheme against me! I’m going to teach you a lesson today, help you understand your place, and make you realize that I, Faye Jennings, am not someone to be trifled with. Forget about Clara Grant’s little bootlicker—I’m not even afraid of her herself!"

With that, Faye Jennings viciously raised her right hand, ready to slap Holly across the face. Holly’s expression darkened, but she stood her ground, not flinching in the slightest.

Before Faye Jennings’s raised hand could fall, a sharp voice roared from behind her, "Stop!"
