Chapter 571 - 568: Clara, You’re Too Impatient

After lunch, since Clara Grant had classes in the afternoon, Seth Quinn dropped her off at the university before heading back to his company.

A classmate who saw Seth Quinn drop her off teased her good-naturedly. "Hey, Clara, I thought he was just picking you up this afternoon. What’s this? Your husband can’t even stand to be away from you during a lunch break?"

Clara Grant’s mind was preoccupied with Sarah’s situation, so she could only manage a faint smile in response. For the rest of the afternoon, aside from her classes, she was lost in thought, completely oblivious even to the death glares Chloe Grant kept shooting her way.

After her classes ended, Clara Grant had planned to take a taxi to Seth Quinn’s company, thinking it would be a waste of his time to come pick her up.

But as she walked out of the university’s main gate, she saw Seth Quinn’s sports car already parked by the entrance. He was standing outside, leaning against the driver’s side door, his long legs crossed in a casual yet elegant stance, hands tucked into his pockets.

Perhaps the sight of this handsome man was too stunning, as it was causing a string of "accidents" among the students near the gate.

"Oh! I’m so sorry, I stepped on you."

"Ouch! Oh, I’m sorry, I bumped into you. It wasn’t on purpose."

"..."

Seth Quinn saw Clara Grant and was about to call out to her when she hurried over. "Get in," she said, then opened the car door and got in first.

Seth Quinn got in as well, started the engine, and drove away.

Clara Grant glanced at him. "You shouldn’t drop me off or pick me up anymore."

Seth Quinn glanced back at her, a slight smirk on his lips. "What’s wrong? Afraid another woman will set her sights on me and snatch me away?"

Clara Grant pursed her lips. "I’m afraid you’ll cause a huge scene every time you show up. Accidents are already starting to happen. It wouldn’t be good if someone actually got killed over you."

"Then I’ll just stay in the car and not get out from now on," Seth Quinn said with a nonchalant shrug.

Clara Grant didn’t answer him. Instead, she asked, "By the way, did you go talk to the Stratton family?"

"I was planning to speak with Ewan Stratton directly. After all, he’s the one getting married. The engagement can only be called off if he agrees to give up Sarah Shelby."

"And what did Ewan Stratton say?" Clara Grant asked, staring at him expectantly.

"Clara, you’re being too impatient. I haven’t even managed to contact Ewan Stratton yet." Seth Quinn sighed. Ewan wasn’t an easy person to get a meeting with, and it had only been a single afternoon.

"How can I not be? They’re getting married in a few days! Once they’re married, it’ll be too late, won’t it?"

Seth Quinn knew she was extremely worried and anxious for Sarah Shelby, so he simply nodded and reassured her, "I’ll handle it as quickly as I can."

Clara Grant let out a breath and looked out the window, only to realize they weren’t on the road to The Millennium Grand.

She turned back to him in confusion. "Where are we going?"

"It’s still early. People are still at the office, and I have a few more things to take care of."

Clara Grant then remembered that she’d only had two classes that afternoon, and it was just barely four o’clock. She nodded in understanding.

Seth Quinn continued, "Once I’m done, we can head straight to the family estate. I’ve already had your things from The Millennium Grand moved there."

A look of confusion crossed Clara Grant’s face. "The family estate?"

"Did you forget?" Seth Quinn reminded her. "We decided yesterday that we’d move back there."

Clara Grant seemed to finally recall it. "Oh," she said, nodding.

Seth Quinn sighed inwardly. ’It looks like Clara won’t be able to rest easy until Sarah Shelby’s situation is resolved. I’d better contact Ewan Stratton as soon as possible.’
