Penchant www.xbiquge.cc, the fastest updated noble marriage [Anna] latest chapter!    As Christmas approaches, the city hall gets even busier. To maintain order or prevent crime and so on, even the civilian piece, complaints will increase.

The conclusion is that Karenin has become busy again.

The weather did not pity the men too much because of their busyness, but became even worse.

In the streets, the bitter north wind blew the branches of the trees to the east and west.

In the daytime, there were still a lot of people, but in the evening, the night enveloped the whole of Petersburg, and the whole city seemed to be torn apart, half quiet and half noisy.

Anna left the fireplace and stood by the window for a while.

"You have been standing for a long time, madam." Annushka said, holding the blanket in her hand.

"It's so windy, it seems like the carriage will be blown away." Anna said with some concern.

"Maybe sir won't come back tonight, he said so when he left this morning."

Anna averted her gaze and smiled slightly.

"Maybe."

Knowing she was still worried, Annuschka sighed inwardly and told Anna to go ahead and eat.

The doctor had said that Madame should eat less and more often now, and Monsieur had explained that this should be strictly enforced, so Annuschka didn't dare to miss a single meal.

Sitting at the table, Anna chewed her food carefully.

She was now a little pregnant.

The vomiting didn't bother her for long, and if it weren't for the slight bulge in her belly, she wouldn't even have felt she was pregnant.

As she ate, her mind moved.

Shortly after, she raised her head and frowned: "It seems to be raining."

Annushka looked closer: "It's raining, and it's raining hard."

"It might snow." She added.

Anna listened and ate more distractedly next.

Government Hall.

Karenin pressed his brow.

Slyutin saw it, got up and brought him a cup of hot tea, then sat down again.

"It seems a little cold." He said suddenly, unable to resist rubbing his arms.

Sliudin actually likes sweaters, the thick and soft kind, but his status prevents him from wearing them during work hours. His face already looked young, and when he gave up these armed outfits, he became even more like a recent graduate.

He looked at his superior, with his deep brow, clear lines, and cold attitude, with some envy.

"Lord Karenin has probably never been younger, how nice." He thought quietly.

Across the table, Karenin was unaware of this.

Although he was always wise and intelligent, sometimes he did not think seriously about such occasionally absurd thoughts as Mr. Sliutin had.

He did not drink the cup of tea immediately, but looked and then pondered for a moment, and after a while he took out his golden pocket watch and looked at it.

"It seems to be snowing."

He heard Sliudin say so.

Karenin frowned a little, he got up, his long legs spread out, but in two or three steps he went to the window.

Some dark and dreary night, flying cotton wool like heavy snow, also mixed with the whistling north wind. Such heavy snow, it is not difficult to imagine tomorrow's road snow to what place.

"I wonder if I can still go back." Sliudin muttered, unconsciously shrunken neck, as if the snowflakes have been burrowed into his body.

Karenin glanced at the papers on the desk next to him, not much more.

He hesitated a little.

According to his habit, these are the ones that must be finished today. But then he glanced out the window at the snow, and then he made his decision.

"Let's call it a day." He said. Seeing Sliudin some round eyes with a little surprise, but a moment, and then nodded with understanding.

"This snow is going to get heavier later, so you can stay nearby for the night."

Sliudin agreed without hesitation. He lived farther away, and as a bachelor, he didn't need to worry about what was waiting for him at home, or that a place like that just to sleep, what was worth the risk of him going home on such a snowy day.

"I'll do the finishing touches, you go back first." Slyutin volunteered.

Karenin nodded, and he gave two more explanations, then left the office at a brisk pace.

Peter drove the carriage over, and then drove his own gentleman out of the town hall.

*************************

The snow seemed to have gotten heavier.

Anna was wrapped in a thick champagne-colored robe.

She sat on the chaise longue, the book in her hand did not turn the page for a long time.

She was a little worried.

The clock in the living room dutifully chimed eight o'clock, and sleep swept over Anna.

She rubbed her belly, which was a bit pregnant, and wanted to hang on for a while, but felt bad about it, so she hesitated a bit.

Finally, she sighed and told herself that she was now not only the wife of one, but also the mother of an unborn child.

Putting down her book, she kept her worries to a minimum. She walked over to the queen-size bed, lifted the covers and lay in, seemingly falling asleep quickly.

In between the daze, she heard a little noise and was just suddenly awakened.

She opened her eyes, her pupils widening with some fear, and before long she lifted the covers, wrapped her robe around her, and went downstairs as steadily as she could.

The servant in charge of the duty yawned and woke up instantly when he opened his eyes and saw his wife coming down the stairs.

"What happened to you?" He hurried up and asked.

Anna froze for a moment when she heard the servant's question.

She looked at the door, her hand still on the escalator, not sure if she was relieved or still worried.

She calmed down a bit and asked, "Has the gentleman returned?"

"Not yet, madam, it's already ten o'clock," he said halfway through the sentence and glanced out the window before continuing, "With all this snow, I'm afraid sir won't be back today."

Anna nodded, she felt that the servant's words were right, but for some reason, she always felt a little uneasy.

The servant seemed to see Anna's worry, and he grinned a little.

"Sir will be fine, there have been times before, that the snow was even heavier than today eh, sir just rested by the town hall for the night before returning."

"Hmm." Anna smiled a little.

She paused for a moment, then lifted her feet and turned around, wanting to go upstairs.

Just then, the door was opened and the foyer ran in and out again not long after.

Anna heard the sound and turned around again, as if something had tugged at her heart, and she walked down the remaining few steps of the stairs.

The dark doorway, some snowflakes took the opportunity to burrow in, and as soon as they touched the ground, they dropped their bodies down, and it didn't take long for them to turn into snow, making the small area of the doorway slippery.

Anna's pace slowed down.

She was in a very anxious mood, as if she knew something, but her sense of responsibility as a mother made it necessary for her to keep herself safe.

The servant on duty also saw the slippery ground and looked at Anna with some fear, but was relieved to see that she was all right.

He was about to say something when several figures came from the courtyard.

You don't need to guess who that is.

Only, the gentleman, who always liked to come in with a fixed number of steps, walked a little slowly, and the foyer on one side was still following closely, as if he was worried about something.

"Alexei!" Anna shouted.

The voice had just landed, and the figure had stepped into the doorway, coming in wrapped in wind and snow.

Anna's eyes fell on Karenin's face, blushing a little, only to see a little break in the corner of Karenin's eye, and his forehead was even higher swollen.

Just as Anna wanted to walk over quickly, Karenin had taken a step ahead, almost sort of running like.

He supported Anna as if she was the one who was injured.

"You're hurt!" Anna said, hands have instinctively grabbed Kalenin's arm, but then subconsciously let go, she saw that he was injured, afraid to scratch him, but Kalenin took her left hand.

"It's not serious, it just looks a little scary."

He said while looking down at the doorway, then quickly instructed his servant.

"This floor is too wet and slippery, close the door and clean it up."

"Yes, sir." The servant quickly replied.

"Shall I get you a doctor to come over?" The servant asked.

Karenin shook his head, "There is too much snow, let's talk tomorrow." He finished and put his eyes back on Anna, who was raising her hand and looked like she wanted to make sure his face was not serious.

"The snow was a bit heavy, the road slipped, and I accidentally hit the door handle of the carriage." He said simply and quickly.

"It needs a little treatment too, I'll get the medicine cabinet." Anna said distressed, wanting to go get the medicine chest, but Karenin stopped her.

"Anna, the medicine chest is inside the bedroom." He reminded.

Anna realized as an afterthought that she had done something stupid, she couldn't think about it, she just nodded and tried to take Karenin's hand to lead him up.

"There's no hurry." Karenin whispered.

"But ......" Anna was a bit at a loss, her heart was beating a bit fast, she didn't know if it was pregnancy or what, she felt a bit dizzy and wanted to say something, but her brain felt like it was stuck. Just then, she was gently pulled into an embrace.

"It's nothing serious, Anna."

Karenin gently reassured.

Anna took a deep breath as she tried to calm herself down.

"I'm okay." She said.

Karenin let go of his hand and he tried to take Anna's, but the latter was quicker to take his hand, as if she was the stronger party.

"Let's go to the bedroom and get you medicated, and tomorrow we'll have the doctor come over to take a look at you."

After she finished speaking to Karenin, she then indicated to the servant that he should go to the kitchen and boil an egg to be brought over later with the gauze.

After saying that, she took Karenin's hand and tried to keep herself steady with every step before moving forward.

Inside the bedroom.

The candlelight was so quiet that it seemed unaware of the snowflakes that were raging outside.

The wound at the corner of her eye was treated, and Anna sat in a chair, rubbing that bruise for Karenin with a shelled egg.

"It's kind of funny." She said suddenly, and then laughed.

Kalenin, unlike ordinary people who hear this and have to subconsciously go to look at themselves in front of the mirror, raised his hand and took Anna's hand in his.

"It's nothing serious, Anna."

"I know." Anna's smile suddenly tightened and her voice trailed off.

"I'm sorry, I'm just a little worried," she added halfway through the sentence, "all the time lately."

"It's because I'm pregnant that you rushed back, isn't it?"

Karenin didn't nod, nor did he shake his head.

He took the eggs from Anna's hand and set them on the table.

"The snow is heavy, but I expect to have some time." He said, "You're not sleeping well these days, and sometimes you kick the covers during the night, and the doctor said that a pregnant person's body temperature can be a little high."

Anna froze, she was completely unaware of the recent incident where she would kick the covers in her sleep anyway, she woke up in the morning, warm and nestled inside the covers.

"You're doing great, Anna." Karenin said again.

Seeing some confusion in front of him, he lifted his hand and gently straightened some of her hair that was a bit disheveled.

The fingers with a little coolness brushed against her cheek, only to feel tingling and tickling.

"That slippery ground." He cautioned.

Anna guffawed and pressed her fingers against the back of Karenin's hand.

"I'm the one who's going to be a mother." She said with a hint of pride in her tone.

"Yeah." Karenin also laughed lowly.

Not long after, the distinctive smile belonging to Mrs. Karenin sounded again inside the bedroom.

"It looks so silly."

"I'm hurt."

"It was really funny, and I'll never forget it for the rest of my life."

Half a sound, a helpless voice sounded.

"Will the swelling go down tomorrow?"

"No, but it won't be as funny."

The wind and snow are still raging, and although it's not Christmas, some of the thoughts just seem warmer on a day like this.
