Chapter 395: As I say.
Anabel.
This guy is crazy.
A sudden surge of panic rushed through me as my mind caught up to what had just happened.
What on earth had gotten into me?
Shocked by my own temporary lapse in judgment, I immediately pressed my hands against his chest and pushed him away with all the strength I could muster.
The distance between us couldn’t come fast enough. I quickly smoothed down the wrinkled fabric of my dress, trying to regain every ounce of my composure.
"You are pathetic," I said. My voice was calm, almost a whisper, but it carried a sharp, lethal edge.
To drive the point home, I slowly dragged the back of my hand across my lips, making sure every movement projected pure, unadulterated disgust.
I glared at him, my chest heaving. If it hadn’t been for this damn, cursed bond pulling at my chest, there was no way I would ever willingly stand in the same room as a lunatic like him.
Before I could back away any further, Vincent lunged forward. His fingers wrapped around my wrists, his grip locking on like iron shackles. Pain shot up my arms as he squeezed.
"I asked you a question, Annabel!" he yelled, his furious voice booming violently, bouncing off the surrounding walls in a deafening echo.
"You are hurting me!" I snapped back, my voice laced with desperate anger.
My eyes remained helplessly locked on my trapped wrists, which were entirely at his mercy. My muscles strained with every ounce of strength I had left as I twisted and pulled, trying desperately to loosen his relentless, crushing grip. Yet, despite my frantic efforts, he didn’t budge an inch.
"And I will do far more than this if you don’t speak right now!" he roared, his voice reverberating through the air with terrifying force.
Right before my eyes, the color in his gaze shifted, darkening into a pitch-black abyss that seemed to swallow all light. A cold shiver ran down my spine, instantly freezing the blood in my veins. I flinched uncontrollably, my own body completely betraying me at the sudden, violent shift in his demeanor.
This man standing in front of me was an absolute psycho.
How could anyone transform from calm to terrifyingly unhinged within a split second?
PThe Moon Goddess had clearly made a grave, unforgivable mistake when she paired me up with a monster like him.
Realizing I was at a complete disadvantage, I forced my facial muscles to relax. I slowly curled my lips upward into a sweet, mocking smile, doing everything in my power to hide the sudden fear clawing at my throat.
"What do you mean?" I asked smoothly, letting the smile linger on my face as if his threats meant nothing to me.
The moment my lips moved, Vincent’s angry gaze dropped. His eyes locked onto my mouth for a few agonizing seconds. I watched his throat work as he swallowed hard, his heavy breathing faltering before he snapped his dark eyes back up to meet mine.
"Don’t tell me..." he began, his voice dropping into a dangerous whisper.
He didn’t get the chance to finish his sentence. Taking advantage of his momentary distraction, I yanked my hands backward with a hard, sharp jerk, successfully breaking free from his grip.
"No matter what, my heart belongs to Noah!" I said, my voice steady and unyielding as I stared straight into his eyes without flinching. I didn’t break eye contact for even a second. "And it would remain that way!" I added, planting my feet firmly to underscore every single word.
A sudden flash of rage crossed Vincent’s face, turning his jaw rigid. In a heartbeat, his hand shot out and clamped around my waist. He yanked me forward, slamming my body flush against the solid wall of his chest.
Then, the anger on his face melted into something far more unsettling. A low chuckle escaped his throat, and a bright, wide smile spread across his features, completely out of place with the harshness of his grip.
"It seems you need to be punished," he said, his voice dropping into a quiet, chilling calm.
My eyes widened as I searched his face, desperately scanning his expression to figure out the sudden shift in his mood. My mind raced, trying to make sense of the cold amusement dancing in his eyes.
"Get your hands off me!" I snapped, twisting my shoulders and pushing against him in immediate protest.
Instead of letting go, Vincent’s grip clamped down even harder, digging into my hip. Before I could pull away, he used his hold to pivot my body, spinning me completely around until my back was pressed tightly against the front of his chest. His heat slammed into my spine, locking me firmly in place.
He forcefully bent my body forward, rough and unyielding. In an instant, he yanked my dress upward, leaving nothing between us as his rigid shaft pressed with harsh, relentless pressure directly against my exposed skin.
"After this, Annabel, let’s see if you would still desire Noah!" he declared firmly, his voice dripping with spiteful authority and cold possessiveness.
"You—" I managed to gasp out, the words catching painfully in my throat as sheer outrage and panic threatened to choke me completely.
Vincent grabbed my ass firmly in his hand, and without hesitation, he spanked it so hard it bounced off.
"Ready?" He asked while laughing. "Trust me, you would never think about Noah again when I come in between your thighs."
A sudden, violent panic seized me immediately. I struggled with everything I had, attempting to pull away and free myself from his hold, but Vincent only tightened his grip on me, pressing his lower body firmly against my backside.
"It seems you are so eager!" he taunted.
Before I could break his hold, he seized both of my hands and pinned them flat against the wall above my head, immobilizing me completely.
"You would do as I say," he added, leaving no doubt about his control.
