"Who says I’m part of your family of four." The man’s lips curled coldly. "Now that the time has come, I’m here to take your life."

This show was getting more and more interesting—so he was her enemy.

Sangque looked doubtfully at the man who’d suddenly appeared. Who was he to Ji Lanyi? His brows and eyes seemed a bit familiar...

"Hah, such big talk. I’ll teach you, this unfilial son, a lesson on behalf of my mistress." Jiang Mi’er gave a cold snort and lunged at him.

The man’s features were like spring—gentle and mild—as he stood quietly where he was.

A black shadow suddenly shot out from behind him. One kick sent Jiang Mi’er flying, crashing into the crowd. The crowd backed away in a panic as Jiang Mi’er slammed hard onto the ground.

A tall, slender figure slowly landed at the man’s side. It was a woman dressed in all black. Her ink‑dark hair was tied high on her head, smooth strands flying with the ribbon. Brows like carved blades, eyes like bright stars—heroic, yet tinged with cold cruelty.

The woman stood with her arms folded, a long sword held in her embrace, looking exactly like a swordsman out of a wuxia novel.

Jiang Mi’er clutched her chest and scrambled up. The woman glanced over with open disdain. Jiang Mi’er choked with anger, and at the same time felt a sliver of shock. Just now she hadn’t even seen how that woman made her move—too fast...

Ziyu’s eyes narrowed slightly, his fists secretly tightening.

Ji Lanyi waved her hand toward him, and Ziyu respectfully stepped back a pace.

"Miaomiao, are you really going to go against your mother?"

"Mother?" The man’s lips hooked with amusement, the depths of his dark eyes full of mockery and contempt. "You think you’re worthy of that title?"

Ji Lanyi shook her head helplessly, looking at him as if at a willful, naughty little son. She walked toward him step by step. "Miaomiao, I’ve been searching for you this whole time. Very soon our family can be reunited."

"Don’t say another word." Yun Miao’s brows were sharp with cold hostility, the muzzle of his gun aimed at her head. "Every sentence out of your mouth disgusts me."

Ji Lanyi’s expression didn’t change. She kept smiling at him. "Put the gun down."

"I told you to stop."

A shot landed at Ji Lanyi’s feet. Her steps halted, but the smile on her face didn’t fade. Ziyu immediately blocked in front of her, glowering icily at the man opposite.

Yun Miao drew a deep breath. "Whatever bond we had as mother and son, you already destroyed it with your own hands. At this point, what face do you have to say these things to me?"

Ji Lanyi shook her head lightly.

Yun Miao turned his head away, his voice cold. "Bring them in."

Four men were pushed in and forced to kneel in the hall. Yun Miao pointed at the four men. "The eight Black Hawk Orders in your hand secretly control eight factions—MafIa, the Red Gang... Hu Yun Hall, Hei Shan Group... Arturo of the MafIa is dead from internal strife, three of the four hall masters of the Red Gang are dead, the master of Qing Yun Hall has surrendered, the master of Hu Yun Hall was killed during the riots...."

As Yun Miao’s voice rang out, everyone present went ashen. Each of those names was a heavyweight on the streets; the eight factions gathered together formed an unimaginably terrifying power.

Yun Miao pointed at the four kneeling men. "The leader of Hei Shan Group... the commander of the Shadow Legion... they’re all here."

"That’s right, Ji Lanyi. You assembled illegal forces, plotted and incited KB activities, and endangered public safety. In the name of Interpol I hereby approve your arrest. Put down your weapons now. Any attempt to resist will be an additional crime. The law will pass the fairest judgment on you." A stern, righteous voice suddenly rang out. Everyone followed the sound to see a man in an Interpol uniform stride in, with a squad of armed police soldiers behind him, encircling Ji Lanyi and her people.

The two sides faced off.

Ji Lanyi smiled faintly, composed. "Looks like you came prepared."

Lin Tao gave a cold snort. "Your crimes are monstrous, and the evidence is conclusive. Save whatever you have to say for the courtroom."

Ji Lanyi’s brows lifted slightly, her gaze landing on Ji Yunmiao. "Miaomiao, tell me—was your mother wrong?"

Yun Miao averted his eyes, as if unwilling to look at her for another second. "Your crimes are beyond forgiveness."

Lin Tao calmly directed the armed police. "You’re already surrounded. You’d better put down your weapons now and disarm yourself, or what awaits you will be the law’s most severe judgment."

The woman showed not the slightest hint of panic, still as composed and confident as ever.

Yun Miao’s lips curved. "I know what you’re waiting for. Unfortunately, you’re not going to get it."

Ji Lanyi’s eyes narrowed slightly, a flash of deep chill flickering through them.

Ziyu walked over quickly and whispered in Ji Lanyi’s ear, "Mistress, something’s off. There’s been no word at all from General Gianna’s side. Could it be that we..."

As he spoke his gaze drifted to the young man standing opposite. The young master had grown up, changed so much. Truly worthy of being his mistress’s blood—surpassing the master who came before.
