A Wish to Grab Happiness

Episode 199: The Sight of a Hero

Whenever the voices of the citizens gathered around the altar leak, the voices tremble the air and tingle my skin. This is the first time I've ever known that people's voices have mass when they come together.

"So give you a second name - a crest - that you were born a hero."

Mattia tells me that's what Mattia says to me while I'm still on the altar.

Moments, again, the voice became mass and shook the world. Citizens' voices just don't divide the space, they're filled with all kinds of joyful emotions.

But on the other hand, I kept my head dripping and my eyes open and my cheeks snapped.

Wait, Mattia. I don't remember hearing that or understanding that.

- The truth of this world is in exploration, and the crest points to it.

They are one of the determinative complaints that crests talk about. The root of the crest teachings showing insane obsession with knowledge and letters lies in the crest that God is said to have left behind.

Ouffle, the god who carries what is said to have existed once, gave people the crest of truth. People gained wisdom by its crest, nurtured reason, and built culture. Everyone worshipped the crest given by God, and honored the knowledge and letters given to the crest.

But with the passage of time, knowledge ruins off, culture perishes, and worship thus morphs.

In the midst of flowing times, everyone only sometimes could understand the meaning of the crest that should have been given to God. Therefore, they, the crests, say, have continued to fight and have only been able to live for their own greed.

It seems that the aim of the crests is to restore the truth that the crest given by God shows to man once and for all now, and to restore order to this world.

Is it from such a background that crests mean irreplaceable things to them?

That's what I've even heard tell them that I just stepped on a reflection painting of the crest and that some of them were executed. Well, that's only hearsay, but that's about it. It's supposed to be true they care about something called the crest.

That is why it is a supreme honor to be given a unique crest for a crest believer. That should be what is given to those who have accomplished a distinguished feat among the denominations and to human beings who, like Mattia, have the status of Virgin.

How is that going to get around and give it to me?

I'm not even a crest in the first place. First of all, I'm not familiar with the form of the crest you guys worship. If you give me a crest like that, it's no surprise that some kind of crest artist was born.

Besides, when I said what I was hearing at today's ceremony, they just asked me to take the title as a hero, which doesn't matter all the time. I haven't even heard as much about the crest as the shards.

I blink my eyelids a few times, slightly lifting my head and looking at Mattia as I float through my chest. I was wondering if you were wrong about something, with a gaze that included the color of suspicion.

Mattia must have noticed my gaze. After receiving his gaze, he smiled slowly and politely at the look on his face. It's like that's the reassuring look that everything's going to work out with this.

As soon as my eyes reflected that expression, one suspicion raised its voice behind my chest.

- This guy, he probably set me up. Then he won't.

Something cold crawls through my spine, I see.

Now turn your gaze to Largd-Ann, who stands beside Mattia, as he asks for help. Ann is, in one way or another, a moderate man among the crests.

I thought, yes, that if she were to put people's coordination first, she would take one or two actions against Mattia's words and actions this time, which could cause a rough wave across the crest.

"Hero Rugis, you will be given a new name by the Virgin. Please, give me your left hand."

As soon as she turned her gaze, Ann said that to me as she grinned with her lips up. One thing, with an unquestionable look.

I see, right? Are you an accomplice, Ann?

The ceremony proceeds solemnly as my chest remembers so much confusion that it can no longer be wrapped around. What should we do, say no even though it is awesome on this occasion?

No, you can't. This citizen, soldier, merchant. What can such a thing do while every human being is watching?

This ceremony is intended to show internally and externally that the creed teachings and Gaza are united and that all will is in accord. I can't imagine how much of an impact that would have had if something disturbed the footprint in it. Well, if it comes to ruining the Virgin's ritual or something, it wouldn't be strange to be attacked by a mob on this occasion.

The voice of the crowd is beginning to dive slightly. As I waved my lips, I slowly offered my left hand to Mattia, the Virgin in front of me, as I was told.

Mattia touches my hand with a very polite hand, and puts a ring with some sort of crest through my finger. It was a polite gesture, as if you were even touching a broken object.

And then again, around the perimeter, Mattia's voice, sounds.

"Hero Rugis, the two names I give you and the crest are - gold. Virgin Mattia believes that you have the right price for this name, and that you are the one with the unshakable integrity of this name."

Gold. Well, again, there's a lot of mistakes. If I didn't even have people's eyes, I wanted to have a big sigh on the spot.

Speaking of precisely what you can give me, I wonder if it's a scammer's gold or gold plating. Gold and so on, and so on.

People who really deserve those two names and crests, that's what they say about heroes like Helt-Stanley, like the sun.

Is it because I had such thoughts? I don't know how to take Mattia's complaint, which I'm sure would have been a trance. I wonder if I can fulfill it and be honest with you.

Yeah, that's what others would be able to fool any number of them. Line up the beautiful words, make them feel good and make them feel emotional. I did a good job of that. But when it comes to me, things don't carry that easily.

Because humans never lie to themselves.

No matter how many lies he utters against the inside of his chest, and he does it with a lid on his true heart, at some point the devil or some finger has opened that lid.

Words came down from above my head as I spun my thoughts around like every other time.

"- Rugis, raise your eyes."

That's not what happened earlier. It wasn't meant to echo around, it was Mattia's voice as usual. Make sure you can catch your voice, and raise your face. As always, there was a grin on Mattia's face that seemed to contain some mercy.

Its lips open slowly.

"I roughly understand what you're thinking. The title is what I deserve, not what I deserve. Not only you, I'm sure. Everyone will think. That's who I am."

That's as if I took what I thought in my chest as it was. I accidentally forgot to return the words and stared into Mattia's eyes.

"Of course, I'm not saying it's evil to talk to your inner self, but not all truths will be inside. Sometimes it's good to look outside."

Yes, say it. Mattia keeps taking my hand and letting her body stand up.

My left hand was fitted with the ring Mattia gave me. The crest engraved there is also apart from the shape of the crest they worship. A crest that would point to the golden will was engraved.

Stand up, prompted by Mattia, turn around, the side of the crowd.

- There was noise everywhere. That's exactly what makes the world tremble.

Skin tingles. People's gaze, their voices pierce me with mass. That's enough to make me remember the pain. I've never experienced anything like this before. But the sight was strange and familiar.

Yes, I do remember seeing it.

The gaze and voice were not given to me once on a journey, but they were given to travel with me. And I admired it from the bottom of my heart, that.

Heroes and the sight that those so called were receiving were certainly there.

"People's eyes sometimes speak the truth more eloquently than their lips. What do you think, Rugis? The eyes that are directed at you."

Mattia's words spoken beside her like that gently stroke her earlobes. And I don't know what the best answer is.

Strangely enough, the suspicion that was so solidified had disappeared from the chest unknowingly, and now there were just strange palpitations that shook all over the body.
