About my hopeless brother and sister

About My Incorrigible Sibling, Chapter 38.

The noise seemed to be coming from far away and close to home. All the fronts of the clothes were facing us, and now and then a sleeve or two pointed at us, and I looked at the moving clothes and wondered, what I was doing.

I was in the arms of someone who was holding me tightly, I could feel the cold, I could feel that this was the cold after the sun had set, I could feel that this was the cold of preserving bodies. Only this person holding me tightly, with the warmth of the sun still on her body.

I lift my head and look at her.

She too had a black hue to her, and she was small, probably just a middle schooler. But her face had become somewhat feminine, and her face, as it reflected the setting sun, above, shone with an angelic, warm fluffy light.

"Don't be afraid... brother..."

Perhaps seeing me watching her, she smiled and gently stroked my head. Her hands, soft and warm, like a cup of hot water and sunshine in the cold, warmed me and relaxed me all over. I don't understand what's happening, but, at this time, I feel, I'm so warm.

Ah grin? Why...why did the warm me weep?

"Don't cry, brother...sister is still..."

She touched me gently and reached up to wipe away the tears from my face. She gently pressed her face to mine and I could feel a moment, the coldness of the tears.

"My sister is still here...I won't...let you leave me..."

"Ooh...mom...sister she's bullying me again!"

The child clung to her mother's leg, crying out loudly as she opened her eyes and quietly scanned the girl who came running.

"Hey! Breeze! I just hit you!"

My sister ran to her mother's side and held her brother tightly and shouted.

"Don't! Mom...sister she bullied me!"

With a conspiratorial grin, the younger brother clung even more tightly to his mother's leg.

Mom smiled and leaned down, took her two children into her arms, stroked both of their heads, and with a smile, said in her sister's ear, "Rhyme, I have to take good care of my own brother oh. As a sister you have to be tolerant to your own brother oh."

Sister grunted in dissatisfaction, but, still holding her brother, she gently stroked his head and said, "Alright, Breeze, it's sister's fault..."

"Hey... sister..."

My brother grinned out, hugging his sister and rubbing his head on her shoulder like a dog that is petting his master. My sister hugged her own brother with the same pity she had as a sister.

"You'll always be sisters and brothers who help each other, oh..."

The mother smiled at her children, her face filled with happiness and contentment as she hugged her children, what could make a mother happier than sensible children?

"We will!"

Two men, lying on either side of their mother, said aloud.

"My sister and brother-in-law are dead, and shouldn't your concern be what happens to the rest of the estate, and shouldn't your concern be what happens to their children?!"

"We're thinking about it too, but we all have kids, right. It's going to be a bit difficult with two more kids, isn't it."

"Wouldn't it be nice if we each adopt one separately, and you pick one for your brother's elementary school and sister's middle school."

"Then what about after that, we don't live close to each other. Sister and brother can't see each other ah."

"Don't think about it so much now, we can't separate our hands to take care of the sister and brother here, and besides, now that the internet and phone are so developed, it's not like we can't see each other."

"Well... also, then let's decide who will raise the brother and who will raise the sister."

Don't...don't...don't....

Don't....

Don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't don't!

I don't want it! I don't want to be separated from my sister! No matter what! Whatever you do, don't let me be separated from my sister! No matter what, no matter who comes, please...please...please don't let me be separated from my sister!

"Please...please wait!"

The faint voice of the young girl, in the middle of the adults' calm and steady speech, echoed in a humble way.

The adults stopped their conversation, a little surprised to see the "goods" they were discussing standing in front of them.

The young girl is not tall, not strong, and her eyes are not firm enough to look at the adults, but also cowering in their eyes.

Her legs were trembling a bit, and her words were forcing her to play it cool.

But she looked at the adults in front of her and stepped forward.

"Please don't...make me and my brother...separate..."

Sister took a deep breath, and the adults she watched nervously, shuddered, and continued.

"Even though...even though I know it's very capricious...but...but Mother once said that she wanted us to stay together...and I...I don't want to be separated from my brother...even though it's very capricious...but...but...I would like to be considered...if it's a take in...please take us in together...otherwise...please let us live..."

The adults looked at their sister, chattering like insects chirping or the meaningless noise of irregular musical instruments, lingering in their brother's ears like annoying flies and mosquitoes.

"This child... what is he saying..."

"This child is too naive, it's expensive to raise a child these days."

"How can two children live, well, it's impossible to even think about it!"

"Please believe us! Trust us! As long as we're with our brother, we can survive! But, but, please don't keep us apart!"

My sister looked at the adults, and with desperate eyes, fighting the last of her grief, she shouted into the pile of dark black holes, with tears in her eyes.

"I..."

I can't...I can't...I can't leave my sister alone, I can't leave her alone for a future for both of us.

I...I'm not a child anymore....

I...I want to be with my sister too!

I...I don't want to be separated from my sister either, and I can't imagine a future without her. I can't....

Sister...I...I love my sister the most...I, I don't want to be without her!

"I..."

I stood up and looked, and the dark, black, pitch-black adults, so tall above me that I had to look up almost completely to see them, shouted.

"I...I want to be with...I want to be with my sister, too!"
