Chapter 616: Rescue And Destruction - 1 (R18 Graphic Gore)
"Ak... w-wh-o... ar--" the demon tried to speak, but he couldn’t even form the words because of how tightly Leo gripped his neck.
"What is your motive for doing this?" Leo asked coldly, loosening his grip just enough to let him speak.
"Cough! Who--eerg!" The demon tried to ask, but Leo tightened his fingers around his neck again.
"That’s not what I asked. Tell me, what are you doing here?" Leo repeated, easing his grip once more.
"G-go die in a ho--eerrh!" the demon cursed back, already realising he had been caught, only to die later even if he spoke everything. From that grip alone, he could tell Leo was in an entirely different league.
Leo already had a good idea of what was happening, so he decided to kill him.
But—
"I know trying to make things spill out of you demons is nearly impossible because you aren’t afraid of death..." Leo stared straight into his eyes.
"But who says I can’t make you go through such unimaginable pain that you’ll think twice before incarnating back into our world?"
With that, Leo swatted aside the claw attack the demon tried to make with his free hand, shattering the bones in his arm and twisting it into a grotesque angle.
"Arrrgh!" the demon groaned.
By now, Leo had lifted him so high that his feet no longer touched the ground, his legs kicking helplessly as he struggled against the chokehold.
"You are groaning from only this much?" Leo said with a smile before using his free hand to grip the demon’s collarbone.
"Do you know how it feels to have your skin ripped apart? Well, if you don’t, now you do—"
Leo pressed his fingers down, digging through the collarbone, tearing skin and muscle apart until his fingers reached the ribcage and got a firm grip on the bones, allowing him to pull.
And then he pulled.
Ripppp!
A wet, sickening tearing sound echoed through the chamber as the collarbone, several ribs, chest muscles, and flesh all the way down to the waist were ripped apart.
"AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!"
Fresh crimson blood gushed through the torn opening, splattering directly across Leo’s body.
But he didn’t stop there.
"Now get the feel of missing organs."
Leo shoved his hand into the bloody abdomen and grabbed hold of something.
Or rather, many things.
Letting go of the demon’s neck, Leo raised his left foot.
The demon’s eyes widened in absolute horror at what was about to happen.
"N-no, wait--!"
Thoom!
The demon’s body was launched backwards, but Leo’s hand remained where it was, gripping his organs in place.
The next moment, the demon’s body slammed against the wall, plastering itself there while his intestines, stomach, and several other organs remained in Leo’s hand.
Every sound the demon had been making was abruptly cut off. He simply looked down with bloodshot eyes as blood streamed from his mouth and dripped back into the gaping cavity of his abdomen. Only a faint, nearly imperceptible groan confirmed he was still conscious.
A flame burst from Leo’s palm, incinerating every organ in an instant, leaving behind nothing—not even ashes.
Behind them, the strapped people were still trying to process everything. The entire sequence hadn’t even taken a proper twenty seconds.
Meanwhile, Lily held Kima’s head firmly toward the scene. She had already torn apart his eyelids, forcing his blood-blurred vision to witness every second.
Whenever he tried to roll his eyes upward into his skull, Lily dug her finger into his brow, sending unimaginable pain through his eyes every time he moved his eyeballs and risked going blind.
But Leo wasn’t finished.
He appeared before the demon again before the body could even slide down the wall.
Leo didn’t know why, but this torture felt completely justified. The dismembered body parts already scattered around, the pools of blood, the shattered wooden boards, and the hanging corpses were reason enough.
Without delay, Leo held the demon’s head the same way Lily held Kima’s and began flooding him with [Nature’s Heal]. Since Niri had already reached the 4-star realm, the healing functioned with the efficiency of a Peak 4-star skill. In other words, it could keep this Low 3-star demon alive indefinitely—even without limbs, organs, or breath—until Leo chose to stop the skill—which, of course, wasn’t going to happen.
The next instant, Leo plunged his free hand back into the disembowelled abdomen and rapidly sprayed Hydra’s Netherblight poison together with Solar Flare while he looked fiercely into the shaking pupils of the demon whose head Leo had forced upwards.
The demon was finished.
With [Nature’s Heal] keeping his consciousness perfectly intact and his pain receptors fully functional, the Netherblight poison amplified the already unbearable agony inflicted by the Solar Flare while every cell in his body was slowly corrupted.
Not to mention, Solar Flare possessed a purification effect—one especially potent against demons.
The demon screamed for several minutes.
He could scream because [Nature’s Heal] continuously restored his lungs and heart to perfect condition.
The rest was history.
He desperately wanted to die. He wanted his consciousness erased.
But Leo’s masterful control over the intensity of the Netherblight poison and Solar Flare, lowering them at precisely the right moments before raising them again, kept the demon at the perfect threshold to experience the maximum possible torment.
He couldn’t do anything.
His cries of agony became so pitiful that even someone like Lily began to feel a hint of sympathy.
Still, she watched every second as though Leo were giving her a practical lesson on how true torture was carried out.
Wow... I didn’t know Leo was this good at it.
Lily wondered what had happened along the way to make Leo become like this, but she couldn’t have asked for anything better.
This simply meant Leo was ready for what was to come next.
No... I’m the one who needs to be ready. I bet his previous life as a soldier has something to do with this. In other words, I’m more inexperienced than him...
Lily lowered her gaze to Kima in her grasp as though she had just found something to gain experience from.
Once Leo was done, he threw the crumpled body straight into the centre of the demonic runic formation and ignited the entire formation with Solar Flare, burning everything to ashes.
After that, still covered in blood from head to toe, he pointed at Kima.
"Wait your turn."
Kima, who had been forced by Lily to watch every single second, had every drop of blood drained from his face. One could literally see his pale white tongue through his gaping mouth, completely devoid of colour from sheer terror.
But Kima wasn’t the only one overwhelmed with fear.
The strapped humans at least had the luxury of shutting their eyes to avoid the gruesome sight, though they had no way to block out the screams that told them exactly what was happening.
Especially Patric’s party.
"E-Evan...?" Patric muttered.
