Chapter 2 M Dungeon

There have been more games in the open beta recently than I expected.

Starting with Lineage, the MMORPG mediator was in fact an alternative to the collapse of traditional Korean industries.

Furthermore, it is good news for users who have been thirsty for a large MMORPG game due to the wave that has lasted for more than a decade.

However, there is always another industry, but Korean copying culture shined here.

The similar-knitting game was overwhelming and the situation was much different from what I expected.

In that sense, M dungeon beta showed a completely different side to the original game.

We introduced a new genre called Virtual Reality M.

However, this area was controversial.

Most game companies have questioned this M virtual reality.

Real-time gaming makes it impossible to implement something like that in 3D. Raincomb must have used something different.

There are nominal phenomena with 3D data.

Therefore, there is a limit to the size of the M dungeon, so it cannot be a game in this form.

On the other hand, it is still limited by the use of convenience, and there is no more quality here.

Only 10,000 people were accomplices to the evidence.

The MMORPG game had just insisted that the M dungeon was crap in terms of a game with at least 500,000 comrades.

Cho Min-woo did not comment on this or anything else about Buta.

He just works quietly on something.

No, this was not enough.

At first, he thought he would give Emma as much control as possible, but he couldn't.

There were advantages to Emma being AI, but there were many disadvantages.

One of them is monolithic.

Every characteristic of the robot she created was the same.

The same is true of shape and shape.

This is the problem with all the characters.

At first, there were no words because of the cultural shock of this amazing world of M, but as time went on, the reactions of users did not.

“Oh, it's so monotonous. ”

No matter how close they made the world to reality, some people surprisingly reacted because it was different from their tastes.

The conclusion he came to at the end of his worries was that he himself intervened.

Soon, Cho Min-woo found a separate house and started with an environment similar to that of the game user.

What he did next, like a new user, was to create an ID for the game and immediately start working separately.

The first thing I felt was the hunting ground. It had something to do with the environment, but it was difficult to make it all at once.

He eventually had to go back and talk to Emma about the issue.

“Is there any water on Mars? ”

“It's a really rough environment, right? It's hot, so even if we put water in here, it will evaporate. ”

“Is there no way around it? ”

“I'm afraid I have no choice but to go. We should start with the basic environment, and we should start by gathering the data we need based on it. ”

“Is it just hard to transform like a movie? What do you think's gonna happen if we just do that? ”

“It's going to take a lot of time, and it's going to take a lot of trial and error. Even if you make oxygen, you're buried in Mars' atmosphere, and you can't vote very well. As the owner said, it would be better to focus on confined spaces and expand them. ”

“Okay, give it a try. ”

“Once you've sent a ship to Mars, there's a seed for a plant species, so I'm going to use that as a guide. ”

“Yes. It's urgent, but it's not a rush. What's more, the movement of that strange planet is strange. If it crashes, every living thing on that planet dies. Maybe there's something else. ”

“I understand.”

* * *

There were a lot more to the planet Ema121 than are actually known.

The distance is so far away that it is limited by the use of advanced telescopes.

Moreover, if there really is an alien involved with the EM121 planet, its technology may be more frightening than we thought.

If so, it may be more desirable to raise the power calmly rather than unconditionally be afraid.

That's the empathy part, Emma.

The first thing she did because of that was also the creation of artificial plains.

For this task, the first thing we did was based on a plain.

The newly created plains virtually set up rivers and oceans.

North and west were caught by the sea.

The next step is to create another piece of land along the east coast.

The soil was so thin that the product could not fly now.

I can't even talk about livestock.

The first thing Emma also considered after receiving instructions from Cho Min-woo was to set up a monster for the user's friendliness.

A monster that often appears in fantasy novels based on traditional M NC1S6.

Orcs.

It was totally redesigned by wearing artificial skin on the orcs.

The name of this strange monster is also Orc.

However, it had to be numbered to reflect the manufacture.

Jo Min-woo also built the revolution.

“Let's go to Orc 01. ”

“What's so special about it? ”

“It's because I'm a first-generation orc. The design is increasingly complicated to manage. There should be additional functional implementations in it. ”

“If we're going to do that, why don't we build a living character instead of an existing robot? ”

“Is that possible? ”

“Genetically engineered processing is already based on previous combat experience. I couldn't do this on Earth, but things are a lot different here on Mars. ”

I couldn't help but be surprised by Jo Min-woo.

“Oh my, are you sure? No, there won't be an Orc gene, so how are we supposed to deal with that? ”

“You can massively reduce the brain area and combine it with a controlling device. It's based on pigs. ”

To be precise, it's reconstructing pig genes.

The foundation was based on human DNA.

They are particularly effective in replacing plants.

There are respiratory organs that breathe out oxygen through carbon dioxide.

The digestive organs followed herbivore genes, although similar to pigs.

Ultimately, it became an Orc 01 model that could eat and live on plants.

However, their brains are fitted with the same control chips as conventional M NC1S6. Based on it, I was able to control as much as I wanted.

What is more surprising is reproduction.

She was naturally committed to her reproductive instincts without being controlled by Emma.

Cho Min-woo also had to listen to the explanation and was scary on the one hand.

“I don't think this is a good idea, but what if something comes out later? ”

“It's hard to see. It's not an organism in the first place, it's made by genetic makeup. However, the strength of this monster is much different from the traditional M NC1S6. ”

It has all the advantages of living things, including reflexes.

Maybe I didn't know it, but I knew it would make the game feel more real.

This was not the only thing that mattered.

“What you're aiming for now is a strong human breed through struggle, right? To do that, the more enemies there are, the better. The struggle with them will create the foundation for a stronger evolution of humanity. ”

“All right. Let's do it. ”

Cho Min-woo finally had to accept it. Even if he could go to war with a planet by himself, he shouldn't do so.

I don't know if it's short-term, but if it's long-term, it's hard for the Earth to escape.

I needed people with more combat power.

Given their motivation for virtual combat, there's a good chance.

‘They'll get a future M NC1S6 upgrade model anyway. Maybe armed with it, it'll be worth fighting any alien. ’

* * *

The work on Orc 01 was surprisingly swift.

It was because Emma had already studied it, but had gotten the data of those who had lost to her in the past.

The biological experiments they did themselves were cruel.

Maybe she wouldn't have been so easy to do without it.

Unfortunately, this is not an easy task.

Even if there were actual data, trial and error occurred quite well. Fortunately, the work on the Econ Plains has progressed step-by-step.

The first thing that has progressed is the closure to an area of approximately 30 km.

The outer barrier was created, and this was followed like a net, creating a huge space.

This work appeared to be large on its own scale, but in fact it was no better than making hundreds of skyscrapers.

If there is a difference, it prevents the atmosphere itself, not the human habitat.

There are quite a lot of construction robots already built on Mars, so this is just a work of nobility.

It was also plant composition that proceeded with this huge space that began to be made one by one.

We used artificially made oxygen to scatter the seeds in the created space.

What is most troubling here is water.

Luckily, there's ice all over Mars.

In particular, the Icy Plain has accumulated quite a bit of ice beneath the ground.

The ancient rivers that used to flow in the past were frozen and accumulated on the ground.

The problem is this ice.

It seemed to melt so it could be used immediately, but it wasn't.

It's the microbes.

If it was because of other attributes than the Earth's atmosphere, the plants would soon die.

Even Jo Min-woo couldn't help but be surprised by these unique results.

“What's wrong with this? ”

“I don't think the seeds of Earth can withstand this Mars microorganism. ”

“It's been frozen for thousands of years. It's been frozen for tens of thousands of years. Are there any living microbes? ”

“Yes, it's quite possible. ”

“What do I do? ”

“Don't worry too much. We can get rid of those microbes if we treat them separately. ”

“Yes."

Even long lasting microbes have a weakness. Emma finds the answer surprisingly easy.

It was open.

In the heat of 1,500 degrees, the microbes died too.

Once this problem was resolved, the plant making process went smoothly.
