There will be brave men under generous rewards.

Vlad’s generosity drove the demons present into madness. Originally, they were just spectators, and even though the wealth was dazzling, it had nothing to do with them. But now, everything changed abruptly, and this group of spectators also had the chance to become the protagonists, competing for that astonishing wealth!

The promise of profit and the scent of blood excited the demons in the city, and they roared from their throats, crashing toward the Skeleton Sea!

In single combat, skeletons are definitely no match for demons. The terrifying charge scattered the surrounding bones everywhere, like hail, splattering in all directions.

In such a charge, Skeleton Warriors had no ability to resist, as the demons were completely frenzied, driven by blood, slaughter, and perhaps even by that astounding wealth. All of it was like gasoline poured onto a fire, igniting the explosive fervor in the demons’ hearts. It didn’t take long before they broke through the defense and plunged into the core of the Skeleton Sea!

But...

Skeleton Warriors understand that unity is strength.

"in..."

A dying scream rang out.

A Demon Warrior at the depth of the Skeleton Sea couldn’t dodge in time, and several Skeleton Warriors struck its waist. The entire spine twisted under immense power, and it dropped dead with just one scream.

Vlad, until now, was unsure of exactly what had happened, but it knew the most important thing to do was to drive away these cold bones. Initially silent for a while, it finally lost patience and squeezed out four nearly zero-degree words from between its teeth: "All of you die!"

Three figures exuding a strong aura plunged into the chaotic battle.

A lizardman!

An elite Timid Demon!

A terrifying mutant creature!

The lizardman, comparable to Jackal-wolfmen, are Half-Beastmen with green, horned skin, and even ordinary attacks carry poison. A normal person, if cut with a wound the size of a thumb, would enter a near-death state due to the poison.

To the left of the lizardman was an elite Timid Demon.

Timid Demons are naturally stupid and slow-moving, with no efficiency in combat. They barely survive through countless battles by relying on their damage reduction ability. In battle, they use swarm tactics to obstruct enemies, summoning more Timid Demons to enhance their chances of victory.

Unless forced into battle by stronger demons, they will immediately flee like startled animals if they find themselves at a disadvantage. Timid Demons are very afraid of more powerful High Demons, a fear that surpasses their fear of death itself.

Timid Demons are the most common demon in blood battles. The only thing more terrifying than worms might be their spiral mouths and sharp claws. Besides that, Timid Demons have no redeeming qualities.

Except for this elite Timid Demon before them. Unlike ordinary Timid Demons, it is more muscular and robust, and even in its eyes, there is a savagery of a Hunter instead of cunning.

An elite Timid Demon is an advanced form of a Timid Demon goblin. For some special reasons, they did not change their appearance to become Frenzy Demons or stronger demons but advanced further while maintaining their original form.

In blood battles, demons of such form serve as officers, able to summon and control more Timid Demons to join the battle, and consequently, their intelligence also evolves to some extent.

And the final figure was a mutant creature!

Knees bent, feet split in two—judging by its appearance, it resembled a Minotaur, but when you shift your gaze to its cheeks, it’s an entire lump of flesh. This lump is devoid of facial features, just a tangled, twisted mass of flesh, resembling a clump of black rotten meat, and a single eye peers through the tumor, staring ahead!

This is the offspring of a Minotaur and a demon!

The Abyss is a world of many elements, with countless dark creatures living within it. In such a setting, when demons mate with other dark creatures and produce offspring, they are collectively known as mutant creatures!

Like babies exposed to radiation, these mutant creatures are ugly, and their souls are tainted. Due to genetic mutations, many mutant creatures die young, but nothing is absolute. If these mutant creatures can survive to adulthood, the dual bloodlines within them will mutate, unleashing an even more terrifying deterrent!

These three monsters share a common trait—they are all Gold-tier powerhouses!

In the Death Arena, out of dozens of Gold-tier powerhouses, only three survived—they are the victors!

"Drive out these invaders!"

"Kill them all for me!"

Vlad’s sinister voice echoed among the crowd. It gazed at the Skeleton Warriors ahead and issued an order to the three Gold-tier powerhouses!

The three killers from the Death Arena rushed forward. In front of them, the low-tier Skeleton Warriors couldn’t last even a second and were shattered instantly. The two sides were not in the same league at all!

Terrifying howls escaped from the strong ones’ mouths. They had a common target—the Death Knight at the center of the Skeleton Sea, also a Necromancer creature with Gold-tier power. Riding a nightmare, it looked like a commanding general, an impressive sight!

Angry roars reverberated, and the elite Timid Demon and the mutant creature instantly charged at the Death Knight while the lizardman’s speed gradually slowed. It seemed to intentionally stand behind the two powerhouses, allowing them to clash head-on with the Death Knight!

This caught Vlad’s attention. It frowned. The lizardman’s backtracking was clearly unexpected!

"What the hell is that green-skinned monster thinking?" muttered Vlad viciously!

Boom!

A cloud of dust rose!

Facing the ferocious onslaught of two strong opponents, the Death Knight did not retreat but charged forward, raising the terrifying lance in its hand and rushing toward the Timid Demon elite with awe-inspiring momentum!

—Death Raid!

The lance, unfaltering and fearless, stabbed toward the elite Timid Demon’s head. Yet, at this moment, as the target, it did not show fear but instead sneered.

"Foolish!"

After its evolution, the speed of the elite Timid Demon had mutated, now possessing the agility akin to a Jackal-wolfman. If it were one-on-one, a full-force strike from a Death Knight could be a challenge, especially since the Death Knight, combined with a Nightmare, has an astonishing continuous attack capability, capable of bursting out terrifying destructive power in a short time.

But at this moment, it had two "comrades" by its side. As long as the Death Knight launched its attack, the lizardman’s offensive would also fall upon the Death Knight!

This meant that if it could dodge once, then the Death Knight would be doomed!

The elite Timid Demon was already prepared to witness the Death Knight being torn apart, its sneer growing ever wider. As long as it dodged this strike, victory was assured!

But just as the elite Timid Demon was fully prepared, a piercing pain suddenly erupted from its left leg. Its eyes widened as it saw the lizardman’s figure flash past from behind, its claws tinged with scarlet. Besides, a small section of a severed limb fell not far from it!

Why did the lizardman attack me?

The elite Timid Demon’s imagination was abruptly halted as if someone had ruthlessly choked its throat!

—Ambush!

The lizardman’s signature skill!

And at this time, the Death Knight’s lance arrived as expected. The elite Timid Demon’s pupils constricted into slits. With its left leg torn, it couldn’t dodge, and thus was pierced through the throat by the lance. The Death Knight swung powerfully, sending the elite Timid Demon’s corpse plummeting to the ground several meters away, toppling a group of Demons as it fell!

Clean and swift!

The outcome was decided in an instant. The elite Timid Demon’s astonishing agility wasn’t utilized at all!

The mutant creature seemed utterly dazed!

Creatures of such chaotic order never possessed high intelligence, and now a lizardman from its own faction suddenly defecting undoubtedly made it question everything around it!

"Roar!"

A withering tone spilled from the Death Knight’s mouth!

The tall and hefty Death Knight appeared to have activated some sort of frenzied talent ability, the will to die making it more terrifying, yet also granting it many unearned powers!

The Death Knight raised the lance in its hand, not making a stabbing motion but slamming it sideways against the mutant creature’s waist!

"Poof!"

The situation shifted abruptly. The mutant creature endured a terrifying strike, its entire waist caving in, eliciting a piercing scream of agony. With just this one blow, its ribs were broken in seven or eight places, its overall strength plummeting by half!

Clang!

The lizardman seized the opportunity again, standing behind a former comrade. As a shadow emerged, its elongated claws slashed across the mutant creature’s neck, sending its head flying, blood splattering onto the ground. The surrounding Demons were utterly stunned by the spectacle!

Three mighty beings, and just like that, two of them were dead!

The most terrifying part was that the two strong beings were betrayed by their own!

At this moment, the lizardman, with eyes as black as ink, scanned all the Demons. Wherever its gaze fell, the air seemed to turn into a thick quagmire, dragging every Demon’s soul into the Nether River.

The lizardman’s body began to slowly transform. Bones sprouted from within, while its skin started shedding, especially in its mouth, where a horrifying stench emanated, akin to a rotting corpse left baking under the sun for days, filled with a nauseating odor.

"Corpse Transformation!"

Vlad’s brow slowly furrowed, forming a deep crease.

If he hadn’t sensed something odd when things had reached this point, his years of deceit would have been in vain.

This lizardman was originally a corpse, now merely exposing its true nature, and this realization sent Vlad into profound dread. The ability to send a dead lizardman into the Death Arena without anyone noticing was beyond the capability of that Death Knight.

What does this imply?

A terrifying thought burgeoned in Vlad’s mind.

Within this boundless Skeleton Sea lay hidden a horrifying, insidious High-tier Undead!
