This is why Saruman and the Legendary Blazing Demon remain wary of the entity. It is a demon adept at mental attacks, and it uses mind powers to control certain demons or dark creatures to serve it in everyday life and battles.

They use immense Power of the Soul to alter the awareness of their subjugates. Even if the enslaved have their own thoughts, the premise is always to remain loyal to the Mind-Reading Demon.

This isn’t your typical mental hypnosis.

Once the consciousness is controlled by a Mind-Reading Demon, the side effects last a lifetime, unless one day the Mind-Reading Demon is killed, only then can this control be lifted. But it must be noted, if the Mind-Reading Demon chooses to use a self-destructive soul burst to retaliate against enemies before dying, those subjugates’ thoughts would instantly become chaotic, turning into fools or thoughtless madmen!

Aside from possessing high intelligence, complete malice, and a horrifyingly abusive nature, the Heart Stealer is exceedingly selfish. If a battle turns unfavorable, they’ll abandon subordinates and allies without hesitation to escape.

The Mind-Reading Demon is a hermaphroditic creature.

This creature completes self-fertilization, and then gives birth to its own eggs!

The life of a Heart Stealer begins as a small purple-red tadpole that breathes through gills rather than lungs.

Initially, the Heart Stealer tadpole has no fixed shape, no tail, and its mouth is just a crude V-shaped orifice located underneath its body. As it grows, the tadpole develops a smooth-edged round beak. At the same time, four tentacles begin to develop around it, connected by semi-transparent bands of tissue that function as the tail of the Heart Stealer larvae.

The process of the tadpole transforming into an adult Mind-Reading Demon is a terrifying metamorphosis.

This is also the main reason why they become "targets of many."

An adult Mind-Reading Demon will implant a fully developed tadpole into the ear of a helpless humanoid—this is a cruel and prolonged process.

The tadpole will burrow into the victim’s brain, swiftly devouring its gray matter and replacing it with its own foul tissue. Under its influence, the tadpole will merge with the victim’s remaining lower brain stem, eradicating all lingering personality and soul. Once those elements are completely gone, the Mind-Reading Demon tadpole will use the body as its own.

Within a day, the victim’s physical form will begin to change.

During this time, the host can clearly perceive the changes in the body. Unlike other species, which tend to merge genes, the offspring of the Mind-Reading Demon fully attach themselves to the victim’s brain, gradually consuming the victim’s intelligence, and then take over the body!

During the metamorphosis, the host’s own internal tissues will be replaced by those of the Mind-Reading Demon. Once the transformation is complete, the original host will cease to exist.
