After ascending to Legendary, Saruman had learned the art of phylactery, which is the fundamental reason Liches are considered immortal, as they place their phylactery in a place unreachable by anyone, meaning even if their body perishes, they can resurrect through the phylactery!

Only some extremely powerful beings, or divine artifacts with tracking abilities, can truly kill a Legendary Lich. Otherwise, given time, they will inevitably stand before their enemies once again.

They are true monsters!

Some powerful Liches have existed for several eras, with immortality granting them the status of witnesses. Besides being a Legendary powerhouse himself, Chen Feng had four Legendary Creatures ready to be dispatched at his command, in addition to two fair contracts with a Bone Dragon and the sleeper — a Demigod Mummy.

With such power, even in the Abyss, he ranked among the top hundred Demon Lords.

However, exploration at such a level was filled with numerous perils, a single oversight could plunge him into the depths of the abyss. The most crucial matter before him was how to continue enhancing his power!

Many Summoned Beasts had been sacrificed during this time, with the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish and the Shadow used respectively for defense and directly as a Blood Sacrifice; thus, Chen Feng had only five Summoned Beasts under his command, three short of full capacity.

With strength comes a change in requirements.

At Chen Feng’s level, ordinary Gold Tier Summoned Beasts held no significance. However, if he wished to summon Legendary Creatures, there were certain restrictions on the quality of the sacrifices required. Previously, energies generated from mere heaps of common flesh no longer attracted strong beings; only sacrifices of the same tier, or even stronger, could capture the attention of the mighty.
