CH 142: Clash of the Kings

"And the last person you will ever see in your filthy lives!" Immediately after saying this, Leonor drew her bowstring again and fired four light arrows at the two of them at once!

"Hmph! Foolish girl, when I dominated the Storm Mountains, your grandfather was still wearing diapers." The Falcon King spat to the side in disgust, drew the bowstring of the Falcon Wings Bow, and the air rapidly gathered into the shape of a giant arrow before shooting toward the four arrows!

Boooom!

Before the wind arrow could collide with the four light arrows, it exploded into a gigantic, rapidly rotating sphere of air, quickly enveloping the four light arrows and gradually nullifying their power, but it could not stop them completely!

Silence!

The Silent Queen once again used her power enhanced by the scepter, and the light arrows quickly came to a halt in midair, allowing the Falcon King and the Silent Queen to escape their range. But the moment they stopped in place, a giant arrow made of wind came from behind them, targeting their backs!

Silence!

Storm Arrow!

The Falcon King and the Silent Queen used their abilities again and escaped, but this time, each of them went in a different direction!

"How can their strength be like this!" The Silent Queen narrowed her eyes in shock, then gritted her teeth. "No, it isn’t their personal strength, but the strength of the weapons they possess."

The Silent Queen gripped her scepter tightly and said angrily after a frightening possibility appeared in her mind!

"No Light!"

"What!"

Suddenly, without warning, the light vanished from the Falcon King’s eyes, and he felt an imminent danger threatening his life. But in the end, he was a king who had lived for hundreds of years, ruling through strength and dominance, and he possessed enough experience in such situations to survive even while blind!

Indeed, the moment the Falcon King sensed the danger, he spread his wings and flew toward the sky at full speed, dodging three light arrows that would have struck his head. Near the place where he had been standing, Lanor appeared, wearing the Sky Knight Armor and holding his sharp single-edged sword.

Then he rubbed his hair and said with annoyance,

"How unfortunate, that was really close. I almost cut your filthy head off with my sword, or had my sister’s arrows blow it apart."

"Don’t trouble yourself too much, brother. We’ll remove it one way or another." Leonor flew over and stopped beside Lanor, saying mockingly.

When the Falcon King finally stopped in his new position, his vision returned, and he looked toward the twins below him with a deep frown. He did not like the twins’ words, but he soon heard other words that he liked even less.

"You two deal with that strange thing and leave this chicken to me!" Ayat pointed toward the Silent Queen and did not wait for the twins to move. She immediately drew her bowstring, her bracelets lit up, and she fired toward the Falcon King!

Elsewhere, in one of the city’s squares.

Valeria was holding her scepter and was now surrounded by two fire dragons, standing before the Dragon King, who was holding the weapon of the Sacred Dragon Race—the Dragon Spear!

"Cute little lizards." The Dragon King smiled as he looked at the fire dragons surrounding Valeria and pointed his spear toward them.

"I wonder how many minutes you can last against me!"

"Why don’t you try it, then, lizard?" Valeria smiled at the Dragon King’s mockery and pointed her scepter toward him!

Rooooooar!

Rooooooar!

The two dragons roared fiercely and charged together, attacking the Dragon King with the intention of tearing him apart!

Facing the attack from both sides, the Dragon King did not move and remained standing in place. All he did was raise his spear and strike the ground with it!

Kneel!

Immediately after he said this, immense pressure descended upon the two dragons and greatly slowed their movements!

"Farewell, cute little lizards!" The Dragon King swung his spear and took advantage of the dragons’ slowed movements to cut off their heads, then smiled and looked toward Valeria, only to find that she was smiling at him as well!

"Does losing your dragons make you this happy?" The Dragon King tilted his head to the side and raised an eyebrow!

Valeria did not answer him and continued smiling. Then, flames suddenly ignited around her body. She pointed two fingers toward the Dragon King and waved them to the side!

Whooosh!

A whistling wind whip came rapidly from behind the Dragon King, then...

Boom!

The tail of one of the beheaded dragons slammed into the Dragon King’s body, sending him flying and crashing into one of the houses!

Crash! Crash!

The Dragon King pushed the rubble off his body and stood up. He then looked toward Valeria, whose body was surrounded by flames that had formed into armor and a crown, and gritted his teeth angrily as he narrowed his eyes.

"A Mutated Bloodline!"

As someone possessing a Heaven Bloodline, he could only be confronted by another Heaven Bloodline or a higher one, or at the very least, a Mutated Legendary Bloodline.

Mutated Bloodlines were distinguished by one thing that allowed them to face a bloodline one rank higher on equal terms or something close to it.

That thing was the special abilities of the Mutated Bloodline.

Every person who awakened a Mutated Bloodline would awaken a special ability related to the law of that bloodline.

These abilities were not ordinary abilities, but abilities of the highest level.

Like the Star of Calamity ability that Iris used against Ricky in the Colosseum,

Or Lanor’s ability, which allowed him to manipulate the formation of light in another person’s eyes, temporarily blinding them.

Or Valeria’s ability that she had just used, which allowed her to manipulate the shapes of flames while consuming far less energy!

And with her scepter, which granted life to the shapes she created with flames, she had become a difficult opponent for the Dragon King!

Tsk!

The Dragon King spat to the side angrily, then charged fiercely toward Valeria, intending to kill her!

"It’s time for this farce to end!"

The Dragon King pointed his spear toward Valeria’s head, but before the spear could reach her head, another spear made of ice blocked it!

"Where do you think you’re going, worm!" Ranus stood in front of the Dragon King, then his foot transformed into an ice dragon’s foot and kicked the Dragon King’s abdomen!

Boom!

The Dragon King was forced backward again, but this time, he managed to stop his retreating momentum using his spear.

Ssssssssh!

The spear dug into the ground, carving a long line into the earth, and finally stopped several dozen meters away.

The Dragon King rubbed his abdomen slightly, then smiled crazily as killing intent appeared in his eyes, and looked toward Ranus.

"And who are you, brat?"

Crack! Crack!

In response to the Dragon King’s question, Ranus cracked his neck and smiled at him.

"They call me the Frost Dragon, but today, I’d rather change it to Dragon Slayer!"

---

A few hundred meters away from the royal palace, in the place where Yasmin had been buried beneath the rubble.

Amris stood there in shock, with two trails of tears running down his eyes!

Amris moved forward step by step, each one slower and heavier than the last, until he finally reached the rubble and used his strength to remove it!

After removing the rubble, Amris found his mother’s mutilated body, drenched in blood.

He did not want to believe that this body belonged to his mother, but all the signs and evidence told him otherwise.

"Mo... Mother!" Amris sat beside his mother’s corpse and could barely utter this word.

At this moment, Amris felt a strange heat in his chest and throat.

This heat grew stronger with every moment, and the feeling was strange and painful to him.

He felt a strange emptiness beginning to form inside him. And within that emptiness, there was nothing but a flame of anger and hatred that continued growing more intense and larger with the passage of time!

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Amris heard a strange sound coming from the ground. He looked and found several green roots emerging from beside his mother’s body, surrounding her and pulling her beneath the ground.

Amris was about to stop them and tear them apart, but he soon heard the voice of his king.

"Don’t worry about her. She’ll be fine. Go now and help the others!"

"As Your Majesty commands." After immediately hearing Rios’s order, Amris gritted his teeth and wiped away his tears after his heart was reassured. The darkness in his eyes grew deeper and deeper, and he grasped his two daggers, preparing to reap countless heads.

Amris moved through the darkness and between the houses, determined to reap as many lives as possible. But as he passed by one of the houses, he heard something that strongly caught his attention!

"We’ve been deceived. This wasn’t the agreement we made with the Storm Mountains." One of the masked men spoke in panic, as if the end of his life had approached, then looked toward another person sitting in the middle of the room.

"What are we going to do now, Chief!"

"Our king brought along our race’s sacred weapon, the Falcon Wings, while each of the other kings and queens carried the sacred weapon of their own race, and together they headed straight for the Giant stronghold!"

"And what happened after that?!" one of the Falcons asked, his voice filled with anxiety and doubt.

Sir Mark shook his head.

"After the four kings arrived at the Giants’ stronghold in the Silver Highlands, they carved their way straight into the Giants’ lair. There, they fought six Giants at the peak of the third level!"

Sir Mark fell silent for a moment, holding his breath before finally continuing.

"It’s true that the Giant race has many third-level Giants, but those six... they were on an entirely different level."

Sir Mark gritted his teeth in frustration at that reality.

"For example, I can fight a Giant at the peak of the third level head-on without either side gaining a decisive advantage, while the king can fight and kill an ordinary third-level Giant."

"But those six Giants were far stronger than ordinary Giants!"

"A devastating battle erupted between the Giants and the kings of the races. It nearly destroyed several mountains and plateaus throughout the Silver Highlands. In the end, the four kings barely returned victorious."

"Do you even understand what that means? Four of the strongest rulers among the races—the greatest of their kind—each wielding their race’s sacred weapon... and they barely managed to defeat six damn Giants!"

The four Falcons exchanged glances behind Sir Mark.

Fear and worry were written all over their faces.

None of them spoke.

They simply let Sir Mark continue.

"It’s true they couldn’t kill those six Giants... but they did manage to reach an agreement with them."

"An agreement?!" the four Falcons exclaimed in shock at the secret Sir Mark was revealing.

"Yes. According to the agreement, the new Giant race would keep the three regions entirely for themselves—the Wild Plains, the Silver Highlands, and the Forest of Light."

"But in return, they were forbidden from invading any more inhabited regions. There are countless wild, uninhabited lands where they can expand as much as they please, as long as they stay away from kingdoms and cities."

"But can we really trust them?" Marcus asked worriedly.

"Only a fool would trust those bastards. Those idiots may possess monstrous physical strength, but their brains are in their asses! Their nature leans toward destruction and bloodshed more than anything else."

"But they have two fatal weaknesses. Do you know what they are?"

A mocking smile appeared on Sir Mark’s face.

"Stupidity... and greed," Marcus answered after thinking for a moment.

"Exactly!"

"Their greed fuels their destructive and murderous instincts, while their stupidity makes them no different from mindless beasts that don’t know how to stop until they’ve either won... or been crushed."

"The four kings took advantage of that greed and stupidity. They offered them priceless treasures and enormous quantities of monster cores in exchange for venturing deeper into the unknown regions and hunting countless rare monsters for us."

At this point, Sir Mark’s smile became even more cruel.

"Those idiots have no idea that the monster corpses they’ve been bringing us will be used to forge four more fourth-level weapons. We’re already working together with numerous kingdoms and cities from the other six races to build an army of ten million soldiers, including several thousand third-level Masters, to wipe those bastards out completely!"

"Those fools with their oversized asses actually think they can shatter the peace that has lasted for thousands of years, massacre entire regions, and no one will rise to stop them!"

"That damned race can neither be trusted nor coexist with anyone. They’ve existed for barely over a century, yet the number of people they’ve slaughtered already exceeds everyone killed during all the wars fought among the seven races throughout the last hundred thousand years!"

A ruthless gleam flashed across Sir Mark’s eyes.

"If everything you said is true, and we’ve agreed to remain at peace with them until the united army of the seven races is ready to exterminate them... then why did we have one of the Giant tribes attack the City of Light? Wouldn’t the Giants only become stronger if the City of Light fell?" one of the Falcons asked with growing concern.

"You’re right. But we had no choice. Just as the agreement obligates them to help us when necessary, it also obligates us to do the same."

"You mean... they were the ones who asked us to help them bring down the City of Light?!" Marcus and the others exclaimed in shock.

"Exactly. Otherwise, why do you think they helped that barbaric Giant tribe build those massive catapults?"
