He had failed. It was as if he had run into a solid wall!

"What the hell is wrong with this thing? Didn’t that girl, Sally, say I’d benefit greatly from studying this scroll...? Then how am I supposed to study it if I can’t even understand what’s written inside?" Rios said in annoyance, then shifted his attention to the System.

"System, do you know how I can extract the contents of this scroll, or how I’m supposed to study it?"

> [Host, this scroll only responds to laws. If you wish to study it, you must first master one of the laws.]

The System’s voice echoed in Rios’s mind as it explained.

"Laws... again."

Rios frowned, feeling somewhat irritated, but he made up his mind to begin learning laws today.

He looked at the remaining boxes containing law techniques, then waved his hand and stored them inside the System Storage.

"System, take me to The Eternal Night Heaven."

> [Would the Host like to enter The Eternal Night Heaven using the previous account, or create a new one?]

"No. Use the old account," Rios replied with a shake of his head.

A portion of Rios’s consciousness was gradually transferred into The Eternal Night Heaven, and his body soon fell into a semi-unconscious state...

Giving the sealed entity a chance to awaken!

Rios’s spiritual body appeared inside the world of The Eternal Night Heaven...

Specifically, within the central region...

The region of the Five Courts and the Eternal Night Palace.

"Welcome back, Master. How may Lily serve you today?"

The moment Rios appeared, Lily instantly materialized on his shoulder and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Lily, take me to the Eternal Path," Rios said firmly.

"Right away, Master."

Both Lily and Rios transformed into streaks of light and shot toward the Eternal Night Palace at astonishing speed.

They crossed every obstacle before ascending directly to the second floor.

Rios stopped in the middle of a hall that could only be described as colossal.

The most striking feature of the hall was three gigantic gates, with far more people entering them every moment than leaving.

These three gates were known as the Gates of the Three Dimensions...

The Three Halls.

The Hall of the Eternal Dream Auction.

The Hall of the Eternal Path.

The Hall of the Eternal Coliseum.

"This way, Master."

Lily stepped ahead of Rios, placed one hand over her abdomen, bowed, and gestured toward the gate of the Hall of the Eternal Path.

It was an enormous gate of radiant white, crafted from a strange material resembling amber.

Within it flowed thousands of glowing threads in countless colors.

Yet none of them overshadowed the gate’s pure white brilliance.

Rios followed Lily and stepped through the glowing gate.

The moment he entered, he found himself floating within a strange and different world.

This realm was filled with clouds of countless colors, while hundreds of doors of different shapes and colors floated all around him.

Each door bore a different symbol and name.

Rios looked ahead and saw a crimson door engraved with a blazing flame. Above it was written:

The Major Law of Fire, Wis Level (4).

Beside it stood another crimson door decorated with countless sparks. Upon it was the symbol of a swirling vortex of sparks, with the words:

The Secondary Law of Sparks, Wis Level (4).

Next to it floated a black-and-red door bearing the image of a fire shrouded in smoke. Above it was written:

The Secondary Law of Combustion, Wis Level (4).

And so it continued...

Dozens of doors belonging to the Major Law of Fire and the secondary laws derived from it.

Fire was far from the only one.

There were hundreds—perhaps even thousands—of doors, belonging to dozens of major laws and the secondary laws branching from them.

Such as the seven laws of the Elves, along with other major laws like the Law of Dreams, the Law of Illusion, the Law of Shadows, the Law of Earth, the Law of Sound, the Law of Blood, the Law of the Body, and countless others.

Above those doors floated another group of much larger gates.

Separating the two groups was an enormous mass of clouds.

These upper gates were far more imposing, radiating an aura vastly stronger than that of the major law gates below.

Rios looked at them, and a delighted smile spread across his face.

He had found them!

A white door engraved with the branch of a tree covered in green leaves glistening with dew.

Above it was written:

The Cosmic Law of Life, Wis Level (4).

Around it floated many similar doors, each corresponding to a secondary law derived from the Cosmic Law of Life.

Such as the Secondary Law of Regeneration, the Secondary Law of Growth, the Secondary Law of Vitality, the Secondary Law of Prosperity...

Far away from the Cosmic Law of Life, there was a black door bearing the symbol of a glowing path from which countless branches extended.

Above it was written:

The Cosmic Law of Derivation, Wis Level (4).

"Lily, why aren’t there any doors for the secondary laws derived from the Cosmic Law of Derivation, unlike the other laws?"

Rios frowned when he saw the door of the Cosmic Law of Derivation floating alone, with no secondary law doors anywhere nearby.

"Master, the Cosmic Law of Derivation is one of the most difficult laws to cultivate. There isn’t a single empire that follows this law because of how difficult it is and how demanding it is in terms of talent—just as Miss Sally told you when you purchased the Level Four Cosmic Law of Derivation technique from the Red Lotus Palace."

Lily shook her head with a sigh and continued,

"The number of beasts capable of using this law is incredibly small—you could count them on your fingers. And despite their tiny numbers, the most famous among them are the Tree of Abyss."

"These strange creatures that dwell within the Abyss Region possess the highest affinity for the Cosmic Law of Derivation, and those with an Immortal bloodline are ranked among the Nine Immortal Trees..."

"But even among the Nine Immortal Trees, the Tree of Abyss is considered one of the most exceptional, and one of the strongest in terms of raw combat power. Only the Immortal Tree of Stars and the Immortal Tree of Aether can rival it."

Then Lily raised her index finger.

"As for human-like races..."

"They’re far more disappointing."
