Chapter 1101 - 652: Flies and Warriors (Part 3)
Until the giant ship’s outline became clear, the gluttonous head on the bow exuded an indescribable aura, as if by merely looking at it, one felt consumed. It carried the entire Death Star, along with a fleet of about ten ships, closer to the shore.
Soon, a group of Demon Race subordinates quickly appeared on the deck and set up the gangplank.
Sage appeared at the gangplank entrance, and even before he stepped forward, many waiting pirates below shouted in unison.
"Master Governor!"
"Governor Sage!"
"The Governor is here, we’ll achieve victory soon!"
Sage looked at the excited bunch of pirates, took a step down, and patted Moriah at the forefront, "Thanks for your hard work. Get someone up to unload the supplies, we’ll have a good meal tonight."
"Not much hard work though; you needed to come in person... feels like things didn’t go as smoothly." Moriah shook his head with a smile.
"I heard about it, not blaming you guys. After all, you haven’t reached a point where you can decisively handle everything. The opponent has someone skilled at guerrilla warfare and mobilizing ordinary people, which is rare at sea."
Sage laughed, "With such talent, I’m also curious, so I came over."
"Yes, Master Sage is incredibly curious, not even fishing anymore."
Perona floated with an umbrella, popping her head out from behind Sage, "I came too, Lord Moriah."
"Oh! Perona!"
Moriah was initially happy but immediately frowned, "This is not a place to play!"
"I can protect myself, Lord Moriah." Perona stuck out her tongue.
She’s not weak; unless facing strong-willed opponents, her abilities can bewilder anyone.
"Perfect, have Perona test it out. Aren’t normal people supposed to wield Haki? Let’s test it and see whether mental hardship outweighs motivation or vice versa."
Sage chuckled, "We’ll know the situation then."
"See, I’m useful too, Lord Moriah!" Perona said proudly.
Moriah shook his head and walked towards the central tent with Sage, while the others spontaneously boarded the ship to unload supplies.
The heavy rain couldn’t dampen the pirates’ enthusiasm, and inside the tent, the chef responsible for cooking started a fire to prepare meals; not long after, stews were carried to the central tent.
"Marika is busy this time, so she didn’t come along; it’s a bit simple, let’s just eat."
Sage had Perona serve him a bowl and said to the few sitting inside, "After we win, we’ll host a banquet in the Royal Palace here."
"Of course, you will surely win."
Moriah said, "Actually, the best idea is Hawkins’ plan, but you didn’t agree. That way, we’d have more population, more economy, and power expansion."
Sage came here, no chance of failing.
But to win beautifully, Hawkins’ suggestion was the best.
"No need for that, just capture the King. No matter how many avenues they come by, I’ll go by one. This needs to learn from Lily; she has set examples before, you guys are caught in the enemy’s rhythm."
Sage picked up the spoon, smiling at Moriah, "Capturing what they want to protect can destroy a large portion of their confidence. Many respect the King in this ocean, so taking out the King is like half a win. If resistance continues, relocate the people. My territory isn’t limited to just this place; it’s enough for them to survive elsewhere."
He brought so many ships; a few trips and the people would be relocated.
No need to spend much time here; just treat this as the frontline, once chaos ensues, many will be willing to leave, and afterwards, no resistance can be effective.
While speaking, a subordinate suddenly entered, saying, "Governor..."
"Speak."
"Hyrule Kingdom sent an emissary, saying they want to surrender..."
