Chapter 1050 - 630: The Old Man Has No Future
Amidst a hearty laughter, that warship clearly changed course, sailing straight toward the Death Star at a fast pace. Before long, Lily saw the dog-headed prow of the warship clenching a bone.
Indeed, it was Garp’s flagship!
The person standing on the dog’s head, maintaining a throwing posture, had his cloak fluttering, revealing the robust broad, top-heavy yet bottom-slim template shape of a strong Sea Body Techniques practitioner.
It was definitely Garp!
Clang!
A cold gleam flickered as Lily appeared atop the gluttonous head at the bow. As she swung her sword, her eyes emitted a bluish-white halo, and with a lightning-fast slash, a Flying Bird burst forth in an instant.
"It’s over, it’s over, it’s over!"
On Garp’s ship, Helmeppo ran around in panic clutching his head, his tears falling in waves from his futuristically designed glasses as he wailed:
"The calamity has retaliated! We’re doomed! Coby, I’ve failed you! We came to rescue you, but now I’m going to meet my doom before you do!"
"Shut up!"
A green-haired youth, wearing an oversized-beaked navy cap and an open fur coat, impatiently shouted, "Nothing will happen; that’s Vice Admiral Garp!"
He said that, but sweat also appeared on the youth’s forehead, especially as he saw the bluish-white, bird-shaped lightning beam shooting out from the opposing Black Ship, causing his hair to stand on end.
An extremely dangerous slash!
If hit from this angle, all the ship’s nodes might get pierced, and it would completely fall apart!
Faced with the nearing bird that arrived almost instantaneously, Garp grinned gruesomely, covering his fist with a reflective black Haki, along with a deep-flowing red aura.
Boom!
His fist struck the bird, scattering it with a single punch into countless bluish-white threads that dispersed rapidly around.
Boom!
The sea churned, plowing out a trench, and the residual impact blew towards the Death Star, also blowing Lily’s golden long hair, making her astonished face more conspicuous.
Feeling the shock brought by the impact, she turned her head to glance at her subordinates who were visibly unsteady on their feet on the deck. Looking back at Garp, her expression turned grave, "That is..."
Her murmuring wasn’t finished when a shadow quickly appeared in front of Lily, bringing with it a fluttering fur cloak.
"I haven’t heard of you having Supreme King..."
Sage stared at the approaching Doghead Battleship, his mouth curling into a sinister grin, "It’s been a long time, old man Garp!"
"Huffahaha! Why would sons and grandsons know something the old man doesn’t!"
Garp laughed heartily with his head raised, "Long time no see, you dumb apprentice thief!"
The warship stopped in front of the Death Star, with Sage and Garp standing atop their respective ship prows, both grinning, gazing at each other from afar.
"Came specifically to find me?"
Sage twitched his fingers, laughing sinisterly, "Trying to stop me, the pirate, from reaching Mary Geoise, so as not to further erode the Navy’s sense of justice?"
He could dismiss it as a coincidence if others encountered him on the vast sea.
But not Garp.
During the East Sea period, he once hunted himself down. It wasn’t much at the time, but looking back, this felt like destiny’s inevitability.
On the sea, as long as one has a strong will, even without coordinates, they’ll ultimately meet.
This might sound a bit mystical to others, but for Garp, Sage didn’t want to take any chances. Only this guy’s unpredictability could potentially disrupt his plans, creating chaos.
"Just coincidence, huffahaha!"
Garp laughed carelessly, "My dear apprentice was captured by Blackbeard, and I’m now going to rescue him. Well... come to think of it, it’s not a coincidence. All three apprentices are involved."
"The dumb lazy apprentice is now with Blackbeard, the dumb apprentice thief is Blackbeard’s ally, and the dear apprentice was captured by Blackbeard; it’s all related to Blackbeard."
"Pirates... can anyone cooperate?"
Garp’s gaze was burning.
"Hohahaha! Don’t the Navy also turn a blind eye to evil? Didn’t you personally participate in Divine Valley? Dumb brother doesn’t laugh at second brother; no need for such words."
Sage laughed heartily for a while, his expression turning fierce again, "Old man, I should, by rights, let you pass since I owe you a favor, but you came and greeted me in such a way that I have to return the gesture!"
Saying this, his eyes focused, covering the Doghead Battleship with an all-consuming Supreme King’s aura.
A black-red flood, like a giant wave, made those on the deck roll their eyes and fall foaming at the mouth in an instant.
"On guard!"
Yet, a few still stood. As a familiar female voice resounded, several figures appeared atop the prow, with Tashigi solemnly drawing her sword, holding it with both hands aimed at Sage.
Beside him, a blond man with thin glasses, full of fear but gritting his teeth, also drew his sword. There was a woman with a ponytail holding a sniper rifle. A female navy with blushing cheeks holding a whip. And a green-haired man wearing a fur coat and a long military hat.
Sage examined them for a while, then fixed his gaze on Tashigi, "This woman looks familiar, seems like Smoker’s subordinate."
"Tashigi!"
Tashigi shouted, "Norton Sage, we have the authority to engage you without any consequence! Even if you sink this place, it won’t fall back on the Navy!"
"You’re speaking as if you want me to kill you personally..."
Sage sneered, "A few Navy, hmm, able to withstand my Supreme King, are considered elites."
