The Ogre’s first reaction to seeing two humans suddenly appear before it was, naturally, excitement.

However, when it recognized Lin Mo’s face, its initial excitement was doused as if by a bucket of cold water.

It remembered him. This was the guy who had just pushed open the door, rushed up to it, and then inexplicably exploded. While the blast hadn’t been powerful enough to cause any serious damage, it had still stung.

The main problem was seeing but not being able to eat, which was quite frustrating for an Ogre that considered itself a connoisseur.

It was already rare to see humans in this godforsaken place, and it usually had to sate its hunger with filthy things like Goblins. This was a difficult adjustment for an Ogre that adored eating humans. Now, a delicacy had finally appeared, only for it to be fake... and explosive...

Clearly, it was somewhat traumatized.

Lin Mo smiled faintly and used his [Shadow Splitting] Skill again, creating a Clone.

The next second, two Lin Mos charged the Ogre.

Before the Ogre could even react, Lin Mo was upon it, his sword slashing at its ankle.

There was no way around it; the monster was simply too tall. To attack its vitals, he’d have to jump, but dodging in mid-air was extremely difficult. It was a reckless move against an opponent of a similar level.

The sharp Black Sword left a gash on the Ogre’s ankle deep enough to expose bone. The Ogre roared in pain, finally snapping out of its stupor, and swung its Wolf Fang Club at Lin Mo.

The Ogre’s intelligence wasn’t low; it was comparable to that of an average human. It had noticed that although both Lin Mos had attacked simultaneously, their strength and the damage they inflicted were different. From this, it quickly deduced which was Lin Mo’s real body.

This also explained why the first guy had exploded.

The furious Ogre put its full strength into the blow. Its massive Wolf Fang Club was wreathed in powerful Qi and Blood. Had that club connected, even a Level 5 Knight would have been in for a world of hurt.

Lin Mo’s Constitution clearly wasn’t high enough to withstand such an attack.

He therefore had no intention of trying to tank the hit to grind his [Resilience] Skill Level; avoiding the brunt of the attack was the obvious choice.

But he showed no intention of dodging. Instead, his gaze fell upon his Clone, which had continued charging forward after its initial attack and was now some distance away.

The next moment, with a mere thought from Lin Mo, the scenery before his eyes instantly shifted.

BOOM—

A thunderous explosion erupted behind him. Clearly, after he’d swapped places with his Clone, the Ogre’s strike had shattered it, triggering its explosive effect.

The Ogre, having taken another Self-Destruction to the face, looked quite pathetic. Numerous wounds now marred its rough skin. While none were fatal, they had clearly inflicted considerable damage.

The power of that Self-Destruction alone likely surpassed many Excellence Level Skills.

Of course, since it was ultimately an AoE skill, its single-target damage was relatively lacking.

Without a second thought, Lin Mo spun around and unleashed a Sword Storing and Continuous Slash. Seven streams of Sword Qi shot toward the Ogre simultaneously. The Ogre, still reeling and furious from the explosion, failed to notice the incoming attack. As a result, all seven streams of Sword Qi struck it dead-on.

Lin Mo had intentionally aimed all the Sword Qi at a single point. The stacked power of the seven streams carved a gash deep enough to expose bone across the Ogre’s torso.

Blood gushed from the wound. The Ogre grew even more infuriated; it had suffered such a grievous injury without even managing to lay a finger on Lin Mo.

However, no matter how angry it got, it was all just impotent rage.

Lin Mo knew that even if his Strength wasn’t inferior, he held no significant advantage. Thus, he gave it no opportunity for a straightforward fight.

Normally, even with a speed advantage, the cramped environment would have made it impossible to constantly evade battle.

But with the [Shadow Splitting] Skill, the situation was completely different.

All Lin Mo had to do was create a Clone, position his real body and the Clone in different spots, and he could swap places at any moment. This caused the Ogre’s attacks to miss their mark. Not only would it fail to hit him, but it would also get blasted by the Clone’s explosion.

After this happened a few times, it grew hesitant to even attack.

If it attacked, it got blown up. If it didn’t, it was just whittled down by Lin Mo’s Sword Qi and Magic. The Ogre was thoroughly disoriented by the tactic.

’It was about time.’

Lin Mo’s gaze hardened as he looked at the battered Ogre. A blood-colored Sword Qi suddenly shot forth.

[Blood Qi Blade] was a single-target Excellence Level Skill, one that traded a bit of self-harm for greater power. It was arguably Lin Mo’s highest-damage single-target skill at the moment.

The Ogre was already in a weakened state from the fight. Its mind was muddled, and the constant bleeding was rapidly draining its Physical Strength. It had no time to dodge the sudden, blood-colored Sword Qi.

And so, a thin, red line suddenly appeared on its neck, and the Ogre’s movements froze.

It looked down, and its ugly head tumbled to the floor.

[Blood Qi Blade] Skill Level +30!

’A Level 5 Demon only gives 30 skill level points?’

Lin Mo shook his head. The return wasn’t very good for the effort. At this rate, it would be better to just go fight a Level Six one.
