Meanwhile, after walking into the City Lord’s Mansion, Lin Mo saw Shefilya, just as he’d expected.

Feney was eating breakfast in her family’s private dining room, and Shefilya was standing behind her, doing her hair.

Having just woken up, Feney looked half-asleep, which made her seem even more dazed and adorable than usual.

"Mr. Lin Mo... And Miss Ali."

Upon seeing Lin Mo, she visibly brightened and perked up, waving at them. "Mr. Lin Mo, would you like to have some breakfast?"

"Shefilya already made us breakfast."

Lin Mo waved a hand. "It’s still early. Don’t rush, take your time."

’That being said, Landon and the others are probably almost at the Association by now.’

’But it doesn’t matter. It’s not like this is the first time they’ve been late. A delay of half an hour won’t make much of a difference.’

As they waited, another figure suddenly walked in.

Shefilya gave a slight bow, and a smile blossomed on Feney’s face. "Mother, you’re here."

Lin Mo turned to look. It was Lady Beixila.

Standing beside her was a maid who looked vaguely familiar. She also had ivory-colored hair, though hers was long, and a very full figure. She appeared to be around the same age as Lady Beixila.

’This woman... Could she be Shefilya’s mother?’

The maid smiled and nodded at Lin Mo in greeting.

Beixila acknowledged her daughter, then turned to Lin Mo. "What a coincidence. I was just looking for you..."

"Has something happened?"

Lin Mo’s expression immediately grew serious.

Lady Beixila shook her head. "It’s nothing major, but a situation has developed. The Secret Silver Mine near Silver Stream City was attacked last night."

"The Secret Silver Mine?"

Lin Mo knew about it, of course. Before he’d even come to Silver Stream City, Flora had told him there was a Secret Silver Mine here. It was the source of Mithril, which was why Secret Silver Gloves were slightly cheaper here than elsewhere.

’A place like that must be incredibly important.’

However, given the current state of Silver Stream City, an attack on the mine could indeed only be described as "a situation."

"And the perpetrators were?"

’To be honest, Lin Mo was a little confused. If it was just an attack on the Secret Silver Mine, it didn’t seem to have anything to do with him. Why would Lady Beixila seek him out specifically?’

"The Blood Sea Gang?"

The name immediately came to Lin Mo’s mind. It was the only gang from Lania City he knew. What made it intriguing was that, after the previous assassination attempt on him, he’d learned that the Blood Sea Gang was essentially the Black Gloves of Lania City’s Lord, Caroline Lawrence.

’In other words, this invasion of the Secret Silver Mine is also connected to Viscountess Caroline?’

"Precisely."

Lady Beixila nodded. "I heard from young Flora that you have some old scores to settle with the Blood Sea Gang. How about I leave this matter in your hands?"

Lin Mo suddenly smiled. ’So that’s what this is about.’

’It really is a good proposal.’

’He had never forgotten how the Blood Sea Gang sent people to hunt him down. He just hadn’t had a chance for revenge. After all, he couldn’t just leave Silver Stream City and run off to Lania City to stir up trouble with them.’

’Besides, as for Skill Level, Goblins are involved in this incident, so he wouldn’t have to worry about that either.’

"No problem."

And so, he readily agreed.

Lady Beixila then filled him in on the details, including the approximate number of enemies.

Based on current intelligence, there were an estimated three to four hundred Goblins. The exact number of Blood Sea Gang members was unknown, but Beixila’s side had crystal-clear information about the gang itself.

The Gang Leader of the Blood Sea Gang was merely a Level 5 Professional.

Before he came to Silver Stream City, such a figure would have been unimaginably powerful to Lin Mo.

But now, even though not much time had passed, a Level Five Professional posed no threat to him whatsoever.

"If that’s the scale of the operation, we probably won’t need any assistance. Our squad and the Cyan Orchid Squad—two Adventurer Squads—should be enough."

Lady Beixila nodded. "Then I’ll leave it in your capable hands. When the job is done, come directly to me to collect your reward."

She didn’t specify the reward, but knowing Lady Beixila’s usual generosity, Lin Mo was sure it would be substantial.

’This way, I don’t even have to think about what quest to take.’

Just then, Feney finished her breakfast, so Lin Mo took her, Ali, and Shefilya, and headed straight for the Association.

Lady Beixila watched them go. Only when they were some distance away did she turn to the maid behind her.

"Just to be safe, you should follow them and see how things go."

"I understand, My Lady."

The long, ivory-haired maid nodded, then bowed before exiting the room.

On the way, Shefilya kept glancing behind them.

"Is something wrong?"

Noticing her behavior, Lin Mo couldn’t help but ask.

Shefilya shook her head. "It’s nothing."

They soon arrived at the Association. Pushing the door open, Lin Mo quickly spotted Landon and the others in the main hall.

"You’re finally here! Come on, take a look. We’ve been trying to decide which quest to take for ages and haven’t gotten anywhere."
