Episode 16 Raids and Encounters
I finish my routine as usual and walk the road to the guild, but I feel something is wrong. I don't know where, but the atmosphere is different from usual.
It seems like the city is noisy or bothered.
Enter the Alliance. The state of the Alliance was unusual.
I usually wash there, but there are one or two guild ladies. All the counters are gone, and all the client boards have been removed.
There is no one but a man with a stick standing.
The counter says, "In case of emergency, adventurers capable of fighting must assemble immediately in front of the forest gate." Something must have happened.
Leave the Alliance for now and head for the forest gate. As usual, there is no gatekeeper, and instead the guild receptionists, including Sally, stand near the gate with their weapons.
I wonder if there are new recruits around it. Adventurers with little physical fitness and no fine weapons are looking at the gate in a tense manner.
In front of the gate, in a slightly out-of-the-way position, there is an elongated mat about 2.5 meters wide, with about two wizard-like men standing nearby.
"What happened?"
Ask Sally, who was nearby. Looking at the situation, I wonder if it's a monster raid. It smells dangerous.
Maybe yesterday's Green Wolf herd was a sign of that.
"Yes, an adventurer from yesterday's investigation into the Green Wolf herd discovered that a significant number of monster herds were heading towards this town. Had it not been for that incident, there would have been more damage. Thank you very much."
Fortunately in misery. Does that mean the Ein defense is about to begin?
"So you're saying we should protect the gate?
"No, there are a lot of monsters in the herd who have a good weight for thrust, such as Gargon, so even if you only protect the gate, the wall will be broken. This wall is not as thick as a fortress city. Therefore, leave the gate to the new American adventurers, and Kaede-san should go out to the front (...) and defeat the gungan monster as much as possible. It's important to earn the distance you can retreat to protect your city. Of course, depending on the number of crusades, you will be rewarded. The price is flat and triple the reward of the usual slaughter request, and if there is no slaughter request, we will double the price of the previous slaughter request."
All right, I guess we should go ahead and fight. But I...
"I'm also a newcomer who just signed up for the Guild the other day. Do you mind if I don't step back?
"No, I'm a rookie, but I'm one of the top adventurers in this town as far as I can tell from my track record of crushing Green Wolf and his wounds. We can't just register the caeda and let it play here because the day is too shallow. Embarrassing to say, the city's guild is not full of very strong adventurers. To be clear, it is a weak branch, so there is absolutely no room for combat power in an attack of this magnitude. Please leave as soon as possible. Are you ready?
"Yes, there is a set of items in the box so you can go at any time"
That said, I put my sword, armor and shield together from the item box and finally grabbed a short cane.
I haven't been in this town for a long time, but I still have feelings for this town. If we can prevent the city from being raided, we can do everything we can to help.
Besides, I don't want to feel like I had a car accident on Earth anymore.
"I see. You are the main class in this raid, so please do not get hurt and leave the front."
Yes, I'm coming.
That's what I'm going to say. It's a lot more demanding to go out and not get injured, but I guess this is what you're expecting. Well, we can expect a level-up, so let's go inside the Gungan Forest while watching our enemies special. There is nothing that can be done with healing magic if there is a little injury. On the contrary, if you defeat the enemy, it will increase your safety by increasing your level. You should raise the level as much as you can before any strange enemies emerge. It would be nice if only Green Wolf came out...
Drink the Magic Heal Acceleration Potion while running. This will increase your magic healing speed, but you should keep it warm while you can.
A lot is not exhaustive. Full power restores about 910 seconds + about 1.5 MP per second.
The first group, Green Wolf, discovered that there were five of them, so I changed the direction of running and shoved them in with my sword.
The two dogs on the right with one dagger were cut into large pieces, and the green dog who was looking forward to the opportunity with the one that jumped from the left with the next dagger was cut.
The last remaining head ran out again with a sword. If you have time to retrieve the body of the extra green dog, you should leave earlier.
Running further, there were two pig-like creatures with fierce faces ahead. Slit it into pieces and keep going. When I cut the pig, I felt that the other adventurers looked diagonally backwards on the right, but it didn't matter. All I have to do is kill the monster I find. There is no mercy. It's like the flip-flop of FPS.
Now it's a herd of green dogs. I thought I'd throw fire magic for a moment, but I'm afraid of wildfires. It would be a waste of time to put out fires, so I decided to use a rock spear. Dispose of a herd of seven swords and shields thrown at the head.
The right-hand sword reaches the range of kills with the sword, and the green dog, which cannot reach the sword due to temporal or positional problems, uses a rock spear to deal efficiently while reducing magic consumption.

The sound of level-up sounds. It doesn't flow as much as BGM because the level has risen and the necessary experiential items have also risen.
The herd was not as big as it was last time, so I quickly knocked it down. Level up only once. Let's just keep going. In order to protect the city, we must go out front. Of course, there are limits, but basically all the monsters running towards us in the woods are enemies.
There was a slightly bigger reaction when I ran a little. Looking at it, a pig about 1.5 meters tall is suddenly rushing towards us. Is that Gargon?
The speed is pretty fast and it's huge, but it's a pig and probably not good at bending. I can't imagine that giant, that agile animal bending at that speed in the first place.
I don't have time for an appraisal. I couldn't help being hit with magic, so I put together 7 rock spears to generate them, additionally cast magic for about 0.5 seconds, release them at a distance of about 5m from the pig, and at the same time fly to the right with all my strength.
After all, Gargon is not good at bending. A pig passes my left. I wondered what to do if it bent well.
I'll try to appraise it in that gap.

After all, the monster is a brain muscle. But STR is expensive. There is also a high probability of catastrophe if you get hit.
Plus, it has a lot of HP and is tough. I didn't know that nearly two thirds of my HP was left after I took seven rock spears with more than twice my usual magic.
I tried to put an extra spear on the rock as I rushed in again, and I observed Gargon, but something went wrong.
I tried to change direction again, but my leg got caught and Gargon collapsed.
I thought it was dead or something, and I appraised it, but my HP is at 0.
If you think about it, so is it. An attack that takes nearly 30% of your HP as soon as it hits will bleed to death.
Unlike games, this world doesn't have to have zero HP. If I get injured, my HP decreases.
Store Gargon in the item box before proceeding further. It would be a waste to go on without picking this up.
Gargon is one of the most ranked and likely to break walls. You should crush it as much as you can.
Generate 9 Rock Spears and keep them floating with about 10 magic spells per spear. Put one of these in your head and Gargon will probably die.
Kick the ground as hard as you can and jump to find your prey. It's a much wider area to look at from above than from the temple plate.
I've got a prey. Two Gargons are on my 10m left course.
The next Gargon died instantly when he hit a spear on his way around.
The spear must have reached his brain. (12) The sound of Tettelei/is heard.
From what I saw when I jumped, there were no monsters the size of Gargon anymore, but all the monsters were running in similar directions.
It may be easier to find more prey if you go there. When I put Gargon in the item box, I run in that direction.
Probably the monsters came to us from over there.
Green wolves and pigs are destroyed with swords and newly produced ordinary rock spears, and Gargon is presented with a large rock spear.
That's how I ran, but I couldn't find the monster after about five minutes of running.
I was wondering if I'd gone too far or if I'd come back.
"Gyoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..."
You can hear a disturbing noise or roar.
Maybe the monsters who attacked the city escaped from him?
I'd like to escape, but I'd better report what kind of monster it is.
I jump up once to figure out the source of the roar. A glittering lump of silver reflecting the sun's light is coming towards us.
Jump again to activate the appraisal.

Do you have the skills? My HP is low for my rank, but my armor (skill) won't do me any damage.
... ah, my eyes met.
"Gyoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..."
Shit, maybe they found out. It has a rather sharp status configuration, but AGI is higher than me, and it will be tough to escape.
Try to escape in Dash for now.
Oh, shit, I followed you. What should I do?
