Chapter 3: The Pretty Sister is So Pretty
The fireworks shot out at incredible speed; Nan Zishi had transformed into a firework-shooting warrior! The artillery bloomed in the air.
She Yang was also frightened by the fireworks. He buried his head into his body, shivering.
Wearing a pink coral fleece nightgown, Nan Zishi said regretfully, "It’s a pity that it’s daytime, so you can’t see the beauty of the fireworks."
The two falcons were terrified, having never seen such aggressive firepower before. They circled in the air a few times, FLAP FLAP, then turned and flew away.
These Gatling Fireworks terrified not only the falcons but also the few Fox Beastman cubs waiting nearby for She Yang to be eaten. When they witnessed a strangely dressed female suddenly appear in midair, rescue She Yang, and shoot something at the falcons, the foxes were scared out of their wits!

Nan Zishi wanted to quickly figure out the situation before her. She picked up the frightened little snake by his tail and hung him upside down. She Yang tilted his head blankly to look at her, and Nan Zishi looked back at him leisurely.
The Little Snake Beastman saw her face clearly. This was the first time he had seen her face so clearly. He thought that the pretty lady was truly beautiful. More importantly, she gave him a natural sense of closeness, making him instinctively want to get closer to her.
"Oh, a blue spicy stick," Nan Zishi chuckled lazily.
She couldn’t help but remember that just a few days ago (five years in the Beast World was only a few days for Nan Zishi), her last Beast Husband was a black spicy stick—well, a black, Cold-blooded Snake Beastman.

Then, she detached from the Beast World and returned to Earth. She figured that when that snake came back from hunting and saw she wasn’t in the cave, he would definitely go mad.
She Yang tilted his head. He wondered what a spicy stick was.
"HISS... Thank you for saving me, pretty lady."
"Little guy, I can’t understand what you’re saying, but you’re very cute." Nan Zishi didn’t hold back her praise. "I’ve seen quite a few snakes over the years. The blue color of your scales is truly unique—even prettier than the blue sky!"
She Yang’s face flushed even redder. He wriggled his body and hung onto her wrist.
Nan Zishi asked, "Little guy, can you transform into a human shape?"
She Yang suddenly felt downcast; he lowered his head and shook it.
Nan Zishi had stayed in the Beast World for a year before, so she already had a basic understanding of it. "You’re this old and still can’t transform? Are you a disabled Beastman?"
She Yang became even more depressed. Yes, he was a little cripple who couldn’t transform.
"Don’t be sad." Realizing she might have accidentally hurt the little guy’s feelings with her words, Nan Zishi felt a bit sympathetic and wanted to make amends. "Who bullied you and tied you in a knot to feed the falcons? Tell me, and I’ll avenge you!"
She Yang shook his head frantically, rejecting Nan Zishi’s offer for revenge. It was his first time meeting a female who didn’t hate Snake Beastmen, and she was even a pretty lady with a kind heart! The scent on this pretty lady was so nice and incredibly comforting. He didn’t want her to know that he was hated by other Beastmen.
Her professional instincts as a Beast Doctor kicking in, she felt the little blue snake’s tiny body from top to bottom and made a diagnosis. "Little Snake, you probably haven’t been able to transform because of malnutrition. You’ll be fine once we slowly nurse you back to health."
The Little Snake Beastman’s face instantly turned red after being examined by Nan Zishi. He squirmed around for a long time before looking at her with a flushed little face.
"HISS. Really?"
Nan Zishi surprisingly understood what he meant and nodded. "Really."
The Little Snake Beastman immediately perked up. He decided he would eat well from now on so he could transform into a human and no longer be a little cripple!
She Yang’s little nose twitched slightly, sniffing out a hint of blood. He realized the pretty lady’s palm was injured! He turned around, hung onto her wrist, and carefully used his forked tongue to clean and lick her wound.
"It tickles, it tickles, it tickles!" Nan Zishi shook her hand, making She Yang dizzy and see stars.
Having not eaten for a long time, he suffered from low blood sugar and flopped onto the ground.
Nan Zishi, thinking she had shaken the snake unconscious, called out, "...Hey, wake up. Are you okay? Little spicy stick, wake up!"
