As Nan Zishi and her group prepared to leave Stone Village, they saw a crowd of Fox Beastmen gathered at the entrance, muttering amongst themselves.

Nan Zishi was curious. "Hu Bai, go see what’s going on."

Hu Bai went over to take a look and returned to report, "Female master, there’s a young Mermaid Beastman cub."

"A mermaid cub?" Nan Zishi grew even more curious. "I want to see, too!"

Nan Zishi tried to squeeze through the crowd, but she was too short compared to the Beastmen. Even jumping up and down, she couldn’t see a thing.

Hu Bai watched her with a smile. "Want me to lift you up for a better look?"

’Lifted up? Like a little kid?’

Nan Zishi was taken aback for a second, then her cheeks flushed slightly as she nodded. "Yes."

The two-meter-tall Hu Bai scooped Nan Zishi up in one motion and set her on his shoulder.

’Wow, I’m so high up all of a sudden!’

Little Fox Qi immediately shouted, "Me too, me too!"

So Hu Bai lifted Little Fox Qi, and Nan Zishi took him, holding him in her lap.

Hu Bai was already tall, and with Nan Zishi sitting on his shoulders, she was even higher up.

Now she could see everything in the center of the crowd perfectly.

In the middle of the Fox Clan Beastmen, there was a beautiful, golden mermaid baby who looked to be less than two years old.
