Chapter 116: The Viscount Ashenford Finally Panics
"Wait???" Then suddenly he remembered the last reward in which he got E-rank and D-rank rewards, though he did get them inside a bundle. ’Was the system already know that I was about to make a breakthrough and done that?’
On this, Luke narrowed his eyes and asked the system, who glitched a little and said. [0-0]
"Yeah, this is it, other than that. What the f**k do you even know." Luke’s mood again became bad and he freaked out.
So the system tried to calm him down, while explaining. [Luke, you are getting rewards daily, and the previous stone things also got removed. So now rewards will still be random, but at least start with G-rank. And there is also a high chance of getting same-rank rewards as your wife’s rank is.]
With that, the system gave Luke an example, like right now Aurielle is in the Bronze Realm, then he will get a random reward from G-rank to E-rank, unless new emotions are found or a huge change happened in emotion.
Luke heard everything and calmed down a little. At least he was getting rewards daily, and if he brings all his five wives together, then he can even get 5 rewards daily, which is way better than before.
"But..." He shook his head, when he recalled his other wives’ looks and their problems. "Everything will be solved if I am strong enough and rich enough." The last part, because he has the system, while the first part, because he had SSS-rank Titan Knight skills.
With that, he checked the second reward as well.

"Well, not bad, I guess." Although it wasn’t the best reward, nor was it even E-rank, Luke didn’t mind. "At least we have a telescope now." Rising from the grassy field, he ordered a maid to gather everyone outside, fully equipped and ready.
Because Luke is finally going to attack the Ashenford army.

1 day earlier | Inside Windmarch Reach Territory...
"My lord, our army at Blackstone Highlands couldn’t able to capture the lord estate." A kneeling man said to the seated person on the throne, the kneeling man was wearing butler form and his expression seemed nervous.
While the person seated on the throne had brown hair and his eyes were cold gray color. His build was broad, which said only one thing. "Strength."
Tap. Tap. Tap.
After a moment later, the butler heard three tap sounds, but didn’t dare to raise his head, just kept waiting for the further orders.
"How many knights did Alistair take with him." Finally he heard the question, which calmed down his nerves a little and he answered without raising his head.
"My lord, for Silver Knights 100, for Bronze Knights 500, for Iron Knights 15,000, and for Body Temper 50,000. All this army consisted of Infantry, archers, and Cavalry-"
"And they still failed..." But then his voice cut off, on which sweat formed on his forehead and he said.
"My lord, Blackstone Territory holds a powerful Early Golden Stage Knight. And she single-handedly forced the army back."
Viscount Aldric Ashenford, who was getting angry from hearing this, but then he got stunned when the Golden Knight part was mentioned. ’From where did that backward, dying territory bring a Golden Knight?’
’Did someone help? Like my enemies? Or did the Count interfere himself?’ Aldric kept thinking about all the possible answers regarding this Golden Knight’s sudden appearance, but then he heard something else which shocked him the most.
"And my lord, our spies in Blackstone sent the news that Baron Luke, along with Aurielle, has returned."
"What?" The instant the butler finished speaking, Aldric shot to his feet. His throne scraped violently across the floor as a look of utter disbelief twisted his face.
Boom!
And the overwhelming aura of a Mid-Golden Knight erupted from his body like a volcanic explosion, crashing through the room in an invisible wave.
"Ugh...!" The butler, merely a Peak Bronze Knight, was crushed to the floor before he could even react. His knees slammed against the ground, his palms instinctively bracing himself as cold sweat streamed down his face. Every breath became a struggle, and horror filled his eyes.
Rumble...
The entire mansion trembled under the pressure. Chandeliers swayed violently, windows rattled, and decorative ornaments clattered onto the floor. Dust drifted from the ceiling as the oppressive aura spread through every corridor.
The maids let out frightened gasps, hastily grabbing pillars, tables, and walls to keep their balance. Some nearly collapsed under the invisible pressure, their faces turning pale.
Even the knights patrolling outside suddenly stiffened. Their expressions changed drastically as they instinctively gripped their weapons, beads of sweat forming on their foreheads while they looked toward the lord’s residence in alarm.
Not far away, a man with iron-gray hair and dark brown eyes slowly raised his head toward the trembling mansion. "Aldric is angry," and he muttered calmly.
Although he addressed their lord by name, none of the nearby knights dared rebuke him. Instead, they lowered their heads slightly, knowing full well he possessed the qualifications to do so.
Because the person is the Commander of the Ashenford army, Sorin Ironclad, an Early Golden Knight with years of experience.
He waved his hand and his Aether spread out, which suppressed the surrounding suppressive aura.
On this, the surrounding knights got amazed again, because even though Sorin is an Early Golden Knight, he is at peak, and his mastery of his Aether is also top-tier.
After reducing the pressure, Sorin headed straight toward the mansion.
’How could this happen!’ Aldric was again lost in thought, but this time with worry, because he had ordered a Golden Knight-level assassin from the Hidden Hand, and now here he was hearing the report that Luke had come home safely and didn’t mention anything about them being injured at all.
’Did someone really interfere?’ His thoughts kept going again and again toward this angle.
CREEK!
Then his thoughts were interrupted when Sorin opened the door and moved close toward him without being affected by his aura.
"Sorin." His name escaped his mouth and his eyes lit up. "Go take the remaining army with you and take down Blackstone Highlands and also deal with that Early Golden Knight."
As Sorin entered, he got bombarded with new orders, but this confused him. ’Golden Knight? Since when does Blackstone Territory have a Golden Knight?’ So he asked Aldric about the details.
Aldric didn’t get angry at him, because Sorin was his old friend, which was also why he was the army commander of Ashenford.
When Sorin entered the hall, Aldric’s pressure also retracted back, which allowed the butler to breathe a sigh of relief. So he again got in a kneeling position.
Sorin heard everything, even the part of Luke’s failed assassination, which also worried him. ’There is definitely a third party involved. Or else who could have dealt with an Early Golden Knight.’
After Aldric finished saying everything, he nodded and left the room, because he had to prepare the army.
Aldric saw Sorin leaving, which also reduced his tension somewhat. ’Now that Golden Knight is dead for sure.’ And this thought came into his mind.
But still a small uneasiness remained in his heart when he thought about Luke’s failed assassination.
So he looked toward the butler, who was now kneeling again, and ordered, "Send the letter to the Hidden Hand and write, ’Clear your mess, or else if he survives, then he will come for you as well.’" And waved his hand to go away.
The butler nodded and stood up to leave the room, but while he was moving, he was thinking one thing. ’Will those people even agree to this?’ Though he still didn’t dare to voice out his thoughts and did what had been told to him.
---
Again a meeting was being held inside the dark chamber, but this time the main head seat was empty, and only Platinum Knight-level black-robed men were seated.
"What do you think about the Viscount’s letter?" One person asked everyone, on which all of them fell into deep thought. Because they also heard that Executioner was dead, as his soul lamp was destroyed.
"Seems like a third party was involved." One person said his thoughts out loud, because none of those present here believed that a talentless hero who was at the Early Iron Knight stage could do this.
Though their details were outdated, as Luke was already an Early Bronze Knight. Still, even if they knew that, they couldn’t relate this to Luke, because a Bronze killing a Golden would only happen if a God Child did that.
"Then should we send more Executioners?" The person with the letter asked everyone, on which they thought for a moment before nodding.
With that, the meeting adjourned and everyone left the room. Only the letter-holding person remained. ’Those demon worshipers also want heroes for an unknown reason.’
He recalled this info, which only high-level members knew, but because of his connection he also found this. ’Should I sell the hero to them?’ And this thought came into his mind.
Because he needed more resources for his Diamond Knight breakthrough.
Though after a moment, he shook his head, because this plan was very risky.
