Chapter 130: Luke Finally Stepped Onto the Battlefield
In the Stormviel County, the Count Magnus was reading the reports which came from the battle between Blackstone Highlands and the Ashenford family and got surprised, but suddenly he paused, then turned his face toward the Windmarch territory direction.
His expression turned to wonder, but the next moment he became confused.
The butler standing beside him, saw his lord’s different expression, also the direction he was looking. So he asked with an inquiring voice.
"My lord, do you need something?"
Hearing this, Magnus came out from his thoughts and shook his head before muttering. "I felt thunder was trying to destroy something, but the sky was too quiet for that."
Which confused him, as without the sky’s help, the thunder of that scale usually couldn’t form.
The butler also heard his lord’s confused muttering, and became baffled, but he didn’t ask for any further details.
Windmarch Reach....
Aldaric’s bear body with magma hides was fine for the initial 30 lightning attacks, but after that, it started cracking and getting destroyed at some parts.
Feeling this, Aldaric didn’t panic, because those were only his outer skins and fur. So he let them be.
"Do you think Lord Luke will be alright?"
The same question was being discussed everywhere as countless eyes remained fixed on Aldaric’s position.
By now, it had become like a gigantic lightning beacon, with countless bolts converging upon it. It looked as though it was directly connected to the heavens themselves.
On this, a few elders of the Ashenford family, who were at the Peak of Silver Knight, muttered with confidence.
"I don’t know about other Mid-Golden Knights, but Aldaric can easily resist even hundreds of Early Golden Knight attacks, with his Origin Skill."
Feeling the confidence in their elders voices, many of the younger generation also got relaxed and kept looking toward Aldaric’s direction, to know the result of this confrontation.
Finally, the thunder ceased, and everyone craned their necks to see what had happened.
Within moments, the dust and smoke cleared, revealing a scene that stunned everyone.
There stood Aldaric in his Bear Transformation, with a towering volcano behind him.
His entire body was intact. Apart from a few occasional scorch marks, not a single wound could be seen.
"Insane!!!" Someone among the crowd exclaimed, and the others followed suit.
Aldaric moved his body slightly and confirmed that everything was fine. Satisfied, he dismissed his Magma Hide before spitting onto the ground.
"PTOO!"
With that, he gave a provocative look toward the sky, but this time not a single lightning bolt was seen, which brought another sneer from his mouth.
"Seems like that’s what all you’ve got." And this comment escaped his mouth.
Luke from above saw all this and shook his head. Because all those attacks contained enough aether which Early Golden Knight attacks contained, ’but it lacks the aether quality.’
So Aldaric remained unscathed after using the Origin Skill, which was kinda what he could expect.
"Seems like it’s my time." He said to himself; but all ten mages expressions again became worried.
Even though earlier, Luke had reassured them, but after seeing Aldaric survive those lightning attacks, they became worried again.
Luke sensed the worried atmosphere, but instead of saying anything, he walked toward the exit.
The mages held their breaths as they watched their master approach the tower’s exit, silently praying that he would return safely.
When he reached it, the exit gate opened, and a fierce wind slammed into his face.
"Time for scuba diving."
With that, he leaped down without the slightest hesitation.
If it had been before, he might have been a little worried about facing a Mid-Golden Knight. But now... that concern no longer existed.
Because after training in the time chamber, he had learned some new ways and tricks regarding his third titan. Which had increased his confidence regarding the upcoming fight.
Inside Luke, all three titans saw his confidence, on which none of them commented, while Caelith just shook her head.
"He is still not strong enough or skilled to control those techniques." She muttered with a normal voice.
Nyx also nodded, while Myrkhal was meditating.
After jumping, Luke transformed into the Faceless Titan. He then used Form Transformation to assume Voltrax’s form before activating Form Assimilation, causing a pair of Sylvarion’s wings to emerge from his back.
With that, Luke dived down while using his wings and body to change the direction.
Down there, Aldaric felt something was moving above, so when he focussed more, he found out.
"Some kind of winged man?" but this confused him, ’why would winged people races come here?’ Still, he thought about capturing that person, to find the truth about recent attacks.
Luke also felt Aldaric’s gaze, so he turned his body toward the far forest side and flew straight right there.
Aldaric observed the winged person’s actions carefully, so when he noticed that it was going toward a far location, he understood immediately.
"It wants to bring me outside." For that, he became a little conflicted, but after finding that no more lightning attacks were coming, he got somewhat relaxed and decided.
’If I can capture him and obtain that artifact, it’ll all be worth it.’ The moment he thought of the artifact capable of unleashing so many attacks of that magnitude, a trace of greed flickered in his eyes.
Then he shouted toward everyone, "Lock all the gates and increase the security!" on which the elders became confused, because they didn’t see the winged person.
So they had no idea that Aldaric was heading outside.
The very next moment, however, they realized it, and worry filled their hearts. Even so, not a single one of them dared to raise their voice.
BOOM!
With a single push, his massive bear body shot toward the direction Luke had headed earlier.
The ground beneath him shattered from the force of his leap, while the resulting shockwave completely destroyed the surrounding buildings, which had already been riddled with cracks from the earlier lightning strikes.
Within few moments Aldaric reached the dense forest location, which had 100-foot-tall trees, each filled with green leaves.
He looked around to find the winged man, but to no avail. ’Where did it go?’
So Aldaric moved forward, while observing the whole area, using his eyes, senses, and even checking the aura of anyone present.
And finally, after 1 minute of searching, he found someone, though not the winged man.
Upon spotting the new figure, he paused and carefully observed him.
