Age of Adepts

Chapter 0866 - Elemental Magic Weapon

City of Dean.

It was a public city directly administered by the Council of Witches, and an important gateway into and out of the Northlands.

As a goblin business federation that was interested in expanding their commercial channels in the Northland a bit, this was certainly a place they focused on operating as well.

Flore was returning here with a goblin caravan.

Although the entire Northland was quite safe, the goblins who were harboring the Crimson Family under the banner of the Crimson Family were, in any case, a subordinate force to the Witch of Fate, and thus would also be challenged by the Witch of Winter during the war.

Therefore, it was safer for the goblins to follow the goblin caravans that were armed with magic weapons as they walked everywhere.

With the magical badge of the Crimson Family, Flore entered the city of Dean smoothly.

At the corner of the street, Flor waved goodbye to Papa Tork of the goblin caravan and crossed three streets in one breath, which brought him to the shops opened by the Goblin Business Federation in the area.

The main business of these shops was slave trading, cargo transport, mining and logging, while they also secretly conducted poaching and arms trading in private.

It was just that supplies such as magic ray guns, magic artillery, and metal magic weapons were among the extraordinary items that the Witch of the North had ordered to be banned from sale, so the goblin merchants could only discreetly sell ordinary weapons such as goblin muskets, alchemy**s, and the like to avoid offending the ruler.

Currently, the great goblin leader Cappy was making contact with the witches of Dean City in an attempt to obtain the rights to operate the sale of supernatural items. Only it's not going too well, and it seems that those witches are intent on putting the matter off until the outcome of the Witch War is known.

This is definitely driving Cappy crazy!

But what drove it even crazier was that the special envoy it had sent out with full powers, Flor, had brought back bad news.

That goblin Lorca, who had just advanced to the rank of Magic Armorer, had chosen to join the White Tower and become a contracted sorcerer there. This blow would undoubtedly be too great for Cappy!

Hearing Flore's report, Cappy immediately walked around the house in irritation, cursing loudly at that uninterested goblin 'traitor'.

As a goblin, instead of helping the goblin clan's outward expansion of their industry, he went to the human witch tower to hang around and die... What a scum of the goblins!

But allowing it to curse as much as it wanted, it couldn't change a harsh reality.

The current Goblin Business Federation was far too unattractive to powerful wizards!

So far, the Goblin Business Federation had placed contact points in more than thirty cities in the Wizard Continent, opened shops in hundreds of cities, and had 127 goblin caravans of all sizes.

Roughly speaking, the armed forces under Cappy had reached ten thousand people, and the number of metal magic weapons had reached 600 units.

However, all of the witches and apprentices it had together were only 30 people. 9 of them were apprentice sorcerers, and there were only 2 real sorcerers, and they were all 1st rank beginner wandering sorcerers.

Although the Goblin Business Federation belonged to the Crimson Family, and could apply for official witch protection from the Crimson Family's headquarters when they were in crisis. However, this was not their own power after all, and could not quench their immediate thirst with distant water. Often times, the goblin engineers sent to the depths of the Black Forest to explore the mines had to rely on bulky magic weapons to protect them.

This undoubtedly cost the elite talent of the Goblin Business Federation a great deal of money!

But even though the situation was harsh and sinister, Goblin Cappy did not give up his determination to expand his power and contacts.

Traveling around the world, he made contact with the local powers that be and pitched in to bribe and entice each other in order to obtain the **right** to certain goods or permission to operate special goods.

The natural ones that Cappy was able to come up with were the war slaves with fae characteristics.

Although most of the Faun elves had fallen into the hands of the family sorcerers, Cappy was still able to get some scraps through his own doorstep. Using them as door knockers, Cappy managed to take five Northland Witch Cities.

However, in Dean City, the most important city in its commercial layout, Cappy had suffered a Waterloo.

That damned Death First Series 3 Witch Substitute City Lord still didn't spit out the goblin's request after accepting its 3 2-stage draconians, 2 Faun male elves, and 100 strong ogre slaves.

It was only later that Cappy found out, through other doors, that this 3rd rank death witch was even befriended by the line of the Winter Witch. It was no wonder that the other party had been dragging their feet on the Goblin Business Federation's merchandising license!

If the Goblin Business Federation didn't still have the gold medallion of the Fate Witch line on its head, the surrogate lord would have sent his troops to arrest them all.

Now, Cappy was seething, and Flore had brought back some bad news. It was no wonder that Cappy was cursing out his anger!

Actually, the current Goblin Business Federation wasn't a whole, but rather a combination of four or five goblin forces. Among them are the Blackwater Zaibatsu, which specializes in slave trading, venture capital firms that specialize in mining and logging, and the Musen merchant group that likes arms trading....

The reason why Cappy was able to keep these goblin plutocrats and merchant syndicates under its command was precisely because of its good personal friendship with the various sorcerer classes of the Crimson Family. However, if it made a clear mistake in a major business deal, then all of the goblin plutocrats and merchant leaders under its command would be eager to take its place.

This was actually what worried Cappy the most and caused him the most headaches!

It was so eager to take control of a powerful sorcerer force itself, in order to deter these ambitious people who were stirring within. Unfortunately, the first step it attempted to take was a failure!

...................

Throne of Fire.

Alchemy Lab.

In the midst of a zipping welding arc, the all-metal Magic Armor Exoskeleton Combat Aid System had gradually taken on a basic outline.

In appearance, it was a huge steel armor of all-metal structure, and due to the use of a magic iron alloy, the armor shone with a bluish glow. A long exhaust port opened at the back of the armor, unceasingly swallowing outward white steam that was visible to the naked eye.

The various joint hubs were densely covered with huge metal gears and turntables that were tightly bitten together.

Every time the metal armor took a step forward, these gears and turntables began to rotate wildly. Force field generators placed all over the body can either open a stand-alone force field shield or integrate together to form a full-coverage force field of protection.

The armor's surface is equipped with weapons ranging from fast-firing energy ray guns to magical energy cannons with large power ranges. Inside the hollow walls of the armor, a three-dimensional mysterious witch array filled it, with a crystal-clear elemental magic puppet crystal embedded in the node.

The past power source of an all-metal magic weapon like this relied on the magic energy battery.

In the absence of a small magical melting pot, this type of magic armament needed to retreat and replace the magic energy battery every half hour of combat. This might not be much of a problem in low intensity small battles, but in high intensity high intensity warfare, it was the biggest obstacle to the magic weapon's performance.

Now, Grim tried to combine the Elemental Magic Puppet and the Metal Magic Armament together. It gave the elemental magic puppet an all-metal body to protect its fragile core, and also gave the metal magic weapon a leaping elemental heart.

After a few preliminary tests, the theoretical idea was completely feasible.

It was just that the materials and resources used throughout the body of the High Elemental Demonic Armament that Grim had personally crafted were of the highest quality, and thus the individual cost was staggeringly high. If it was to be mass-produced, the three technologies of High Magic Alloy, Energy Effect and Sorcerer Spirit would need to be further refined and optimized.

Grim personally manipulated the searing ray to weld the last core part of the elemental magic weapon, forcefully closed the metal hatch beneath its chest, stepped back a few steps and communicated with the chip without any problems before giving it the order to activate the elemental magic weapon.

"Drop, the order to activate the Elemental Magic Armament has been given..."

"The system is self-testing..."

"All is well with the protective force field..."

"The elemental furnace has begun operation...it has been tested and is operating well...the output power is normal..."

"The magic energy transfer system is supplying energy to all functional pieces, and the feedback is good..."

"Power armor aids are online, excellent signal...begin functional testing..."

As a complex and meticulous magic energy system began to operate, the entire 2-meter tall elemental magic weapon slowly moved its body and stood up from the floor.

A huge fireball seemed to have been stuffed underneath its thick chest, spewing red flames and searing heat outward without ceasing. The extremely pure flame energy flowed out from the Demonic Puppet's crystal core, lighting up the Elemental Demonic Armament's entire body layer by layer and piece by piece.

The magical iron alloy that was originally filled with a bluish glow began to turn red hot under the infusion of the powerful flame energy, living like a giant fireman that had just been pulled out of the underground sea of lava.

Ka ka....

Taking heavy steps, this elemental magic weapon strutted forward under the chip's control, raising the two magic ray guns in its hands and firing rapidly as it marched.

A streak of crimson rays crossed a distance of nearly a hundred meters, crackling the stone walls of the Witch Tower and leaving a shallow 10cm crater the thickness of a finger. It should be known that the walls inside the Witch Tower were protected by magical energy, and a normal attack that hit the walls could not damage them in the slightest without penetrating the magical protection.

This elemental magic weapon's energy ray gun was able to make a 10 cm shallow crater in the walls of the alchemy lab, and when placed in the outside world, it would be enough to pierce through all the armor of the human army.

The statistics from the chip showed that after being powered by the magic puppet's crystal core, the attack power of this high-intensity magic energy ray gun had reached 260 degrees. Placed in the witch community, it was already equivalent to a powerful strike from a 2nd rank witch!

After testing the ray gun, Grim directed the Elemental Demon Armor to test the Magic Cannon on its back. The Elemental Demon Arm crouched on its knees, the Magic Cannon slid onto its shoulder and secured and locked in place.3 After flexing its fingers, a dazzling red ball of fire* shot out of it, blasting a wall of the lab black.

420 degrees!

Seeing the intensity of the energy returned by the chip, a smile finally appeared on Grim's face.

Worthy of being the first elemental magic weapon that he had spent 350,000 magic crystals to create, its raw attack power was second to none even among rank 2 witches. It even had a certain threatening power for a 3rd rank wizard in individual cases!
