Age of Adepts

Chapter 0897 - A Corner of the Battlefield

Rock Wizard is busy as hell right now!

As the family's newest Magic Arms Master, Gnome Little Rock had quickly become a star battle sorcerer in the White Tower with his exquisite Magic Arms handling skills.

In this battle, he was assigned to the left side of the fortress, leading a group of more than 200 goblins to guard a 50-meter-long section of the wall. There were also two other sorcerers in the same section as him, one was the Blood Elf Magic Archer Sandor, and the other was the human sorcerer Ade Leka.

From this assignment, it could be seen that each section was almost always a combination of several major camps of witches.

And what always lingered in Locke's mind during the fierce battle was the words that the goblin hero Tigure had secretly sought him out to say. Not only did the other party tell him the hidden secret behind this beast tide, he also instructed him to perform well and win credit for the goblin camp.

It was because of the early knowledge of this news that the goblin sorcerer, Locke, behaved bravely and rose to the occasion. He also often wondered if that Blood Elf Magic Archer Sandor also knew the news, otherwise why would a long-range Magic Archer like her behave so aggressively?

Little Gnome Locke did not choose to hide inside the fortress, but instead came outside the walls. On his side, a two-meter-tall oddball Demonic Puppet was extremely active and amazingly lethal on the battlefield.

This magic weapon puppet did not adopt a full-covered metal body like other metal magic weapons, but rather a more primitive and crude gear clockwork pattern. There weren't many areas of its entire body that were covered by metal plates, and most of its internal structure was revealed unobtrusively.

It wanders the battlefield with wobbly penguin-like maniacal steps, morphing into a variety of killing tools from time to time.

If the enemy was far away, it would, in a burst of creaking and morphing, combine itself into a beeping, smoking goblin tank, constantly bombarding the distance with its powerful magic cannons. Once the enemy reached mid-range, it would creak and morph into a magic shooter again, disrupting the enemy's pace with its swift and fast ray guns.

If the enemy continues to come closer, it will transform into a 2 meter tall Clockwork Goblin, fighting the enemy with chainsaws and hooks, and from time to time, it will even fire a goblin rocket to give the enemy the fiercest blow.

From time to time, he would even fire a goblin rocket to deliver the fiercest blow to the enemy. With the protection of this magic puppet, the goblin sorcerer Rourke was able to run unopposed on the battlefield.

Above his head, an even more powerful floating disc firmly guarded the nearby airspace. Any ferocious flying bird that intruded within a hundred meters of Locke's sorcerer would be swiftly attacked by it.

It has two main methods of attack, the long-range one relying on ruby rays on both sides of the disc, and the short-range one relying on a sharp blade protruding from the edge of the disc. No flesh and blood could resist this terrifying rotating cutting force as the disc rampaged through the ranks of the birds at a speed of 70 revolutions per second.

And with two blue-hued freeze ray guns in hand, Little Rock shot at any fish he saw miss. Although he was a lousy shot, with the aid of Rock's Type 3 Combat Goggles, he was still able to shoot one shot at a time.

Once any ferocious bird or beast was hit by the blue freeze ray, it would instantly freeze in a layer of ice crystals half a centimeter thick. Without waiting for them to break free of the ice crystal, the attacks of the magic weapon puppets and floating discs would follow, tearing them apart completely.

All the goblins guarding within the fortress walls were apparently loyal supporters of the Rock Wizard, and whenever Rock slaughtered a ferocious demon in a big show of strength, they shouted and cheered for it from the fortress walls. The intense searing rays also shot down most of the ferocious beasts that rushed towards the Rock Wizard in mid-stride.

Compared to the little Rourke, Sandor the Magic Archer's battle was extremely elegant and simple, and had the elegance of a master artist.

Magic Archer Sandor was fighting alone on the battlefield.

The weapon she uses is a strange and exaggerated blood-colored longbow.

As she moves leisurely through the battlefield, many beasts and demons chase her, her fierce claws and terrifying fangs always leaving an illusion in her wake. As she moved between the beasts and demons, her fingers plucked the bowstring and shot a bloody arrow through the skull of her opponent, or wielded her longbow and gently slashed the throat of her enemy with the blade on the back of the bow....

Neither the claws and teeth of the enemy nor the splattering of blood could stain her slender and tall body.

Sandor wandered the battlefield, slowly but surely, quickly and steadily destroying the powerful demons mixed in with the many ferocious beasts.

If there were too many beasts gathering around her, she would suddenly step on the back of a beast and catapult herself into the air, raising a blood-colored, glowing arrow between the strings of her bow, and then shoot it into the group of beasts with a bark.

In the next second, a large blood sorcery would suddenly erupt in the herd of beasts!

Whether it was 'Blood Shock', 'Blood Poison', or 'Raging Mist', it could bring maximum damage and chaos to the herd of beasts.

With her around, those powerful demons wouldn't be able to get anywhere near the wooden walls of the city fortress, and could only suffocate and die in the raging tide of beasts.

Compared to Little Rock's ferocious cruelty and Sandor's lightness and agility, that rank 1 human wizard was much inferior.

This was a surrendered person from the Magic Forest Lodge!

He was also a pharmacist essential to the development of the family!

With Roarke and Sandor charging ahead, Apothecary Ade Lycra was able to safely relax and play freely under the Walled City.

He was well-informed, though, and casually tossed out a few vials of reagents to enchant Little Rourke and Sandor with some gaining sorcery in the exploding multicolored mist. The ones he enchanted Sandor with were agility-based and stamina recovery-based. And the one he enchanted for Little Rock was mainly to boost mental strength, with mental recovery as a supplement.

In this way, the two had significantly improved their ability to sustain combat on the battlefield!

After completing his sorcery enchanting, Ade Lycra threw out a dozen more sorcery potions in one breath, summoning an elemental earthling with a height of 3 meters, a wind spirit wrapped in a violent cyclone, an ice warrior whose entire body was made of blue ice, and a soft mud monster like a rotting stench of sludge from the exploding cloud of smoke... ...

These elemental summons were driven by Ad Lycra to fearlessly charge into the herd, fighting and entangling with them with their unique elemental abilities. In turn, Ader-Leika used the Demonic Puppet Crystals to summon a 1st rank Advanced Stone Puppet to guard him.

This way, there was no longer any problem with his safety!

A similar scene couldn't help but play out around the wooden fortress built by the witches, and it also filled the battlefield with a strange and bizarre feeling on top of its bloody cruelty.

Of course, war was always bizarre and unpredictable.

Not all sorcerers were able to navigate so easily and leisurely.

In individual regions, there were some witches and apprentices who were attacked by demons due to carelessness, thus being buried by the herd and becoming losers on the battlefield. However, on the whole, the rhythm and main theme of the entire war was always firmly controlled by the Crimson Sorcerers. The beast tide was like a raging sea wave that could only repeatedly and futilely impact the seemingly fragile yet impregnable defense line, falling helplessly to pieces.

The performance of the herd was clearly not satisfactory to the demon lords behind the curtain.

With an earth-shattering roar of 'ow', a 2nd rank mid-level Red Flame Tiger with more than 20 family members rushed out of the nearby mountain forest, rushing through the beasts in their way and making a swift advance towards the fortress wall.

Red Flame Tigers were a type of fire demon, their fur was red, and when they ran quickly, they resembled a flowing flame.1st rank Red Flame Tigers only possessed a 'Flame Ball' ability that allowed them to condense their violent fire element into a fist-sized fireball that sprayed out, with a range of 30 meters and a power of 60- 90 degrees.

The Tier 2 Red Flame Tiger that led the charge this time possessed a strange ability similar to the 'Burning Trail', capable of turning every place it passed into a sea of fire.

If they were allowed to storm the fortress, I'm afraid that it would be difficult for the family witches outside alone to withstand the attack of the rank 2 demons.

Little Locke and Sandor's luck was obviously not good, as the 2nd rank Red Flame Tiger chose the exact spot they were guarding for their assault.

The Blood Elf Magic Archer Sandor's bloodshot pupils flashed with a fierce flash, and her red soft boots stamped on the beast's back as she quickly approached the group of Red Flame Tigers. Once they were in range, she stomped vigorously, avoiding the two jungle leopards' longitudinal pounces and rising backwards into the air.

A pair of blood-colored bat wings surfaced silently, holding her afloat as she flew backwards through the air at a swift speed. She, on the other hand, lifted her spirit and swiftly gathered an enchanted arrow between her bowstrings.

The arrow was filled with 'Frenzied Mist', hoping to disrupt the enemy's attacking rhythm with her chaotic sorcery.

Unfortunately, when the magic arrow bared and turned into a bloody lightning and flew towards the Red Flame Tigers, a miserable eagle cry was suddenly heard among the dense birds overhead.

Immediately, a Rank 2 Wind Eagle swooped out from within, two pale and powerful sharp talons stretched forward and viciously grabbed at Sandor's skylight.

Wind Eagles were good at manipulating the wind element, so their speed was the swiftest among middle-ranked devils.

Shanduo was distracted and only noticed the Red Flame Tiger, but was caught off guard by the cunning 2nd stage Wind Eagle.

As soon as she saw that Sando was about to be injured under the claws of the 2nd stage Wind Eagle, a floating disc one meter in diameter and half a meter in thickness swooped over with a piercing whistle.

The frantically spinning blade and the wind eagle's claws wrapped in a layer of transparent cyclone collided, and both sides threw themselves backwards at the same time, a puff of blood sweeping across the sky....

Wind Eagle's right claw was slashed open, blood spattering.

The floating disc, on the other hand, was thrown away in the violent impact, and a huge crater appeared on the metal disc, with dense cracks all around it.

The floating disc shook and trembled a few times in midair, stumbling back towards Little Rock.
