Age of Adepts

Chapter 0900 - Grim's Fight

Grim had always been the most mysterious figure in the Crimson family!

As the founder of the Crimson Family, Grim had the reputation of being a legendary fire witch and one of the few powerful wizards in the wizarding world to have advanced to 3rd rank before the age of 200.

As for the private rumors, Grim holds a dragon seat... Grim once fought off a 3rd rank witch as a 2nd rank... Grim had an amorous relationship with a faction leader of the Northern Witches... ...

So many rumors focused on a newly rising sorcerer that it was enough to mold him into a powerful sorcerer who was envied, admired, and revered. And such a powerful sorcerer was naturally worthy of being followed and worshipped.

Therefore, within the Crimson Family, Grim had always been a 'god' like existence!

It was just that he had historically been deep in his own research and sorcery, and rarely got involved in the specific internal affairs of his family. Therefore, even many of the new Crimson Sorcerers were not fortunate enough to meet him.

However, this did not prevent them from admiring and respecting him.

In their hearts, Grim, the Crimson Patriarch, was all-powerful and unbeatable!

So when they witnessed Grim's mighty arrival, they immediately erupted with vigorous and stirring battle intent from the bottom of their hearts, shouting and shouting loudly.

"Lord Grim... Long live Grim!"

"Patriarch-sama...mighty and invincible!"

For a moment, a huge wave of sound rose up into the sky, sending the entire fortress into a state of rejoicing.

Before Grim and that Tier 3 Eye Demon had even started the battle, the Crimson Family camp seemed certain of victory, and their fervor instantly fired up the battlefield.

As soon as the game started, Grim released his newly created 3rd rank elemental magic weapon, and it was also the latest elemental magic weapon to be retrofitted with a miniature magic melting furnace. With two against one, it at least completely suppressed the 3rd-rank Eye Demon on the field.

Cockburn squirmed anxiously, the snake-like eye stalk dangling beneath his body danced even more rapidly, and the end eyeballs opened and closed endlessly, dripping and sweeping the empty space around him.

As the only rank 3 Demon Lord in this Black Forest, the Eye Demon Kekbourn possessed great strength and command. Out of the twenty or so Tier 2 demons active on the battlefield, eight of them were mind slaves who had fallen under Kekbourn's 'soul compulsion'.

Unfortunately, in the scuffle just now, two of them unfortunately became victims of war and died at the hands of this group of human sorcerers. The lazy performance of the rest of the rank 2 Demon Lords who were out of work also made Kekeborn furious.

This was why it had personally appeared on the stage, ready to directly crush this group of ungrateful outsiders with its great strength.

But now this idea was clearly difficult to realize.

Because a powerful fellow that made it all feel a hint of scruples suddenly appeared on the battlefield, blocking its path of advancement. And the other party... the other party had even released another powerful one that also possessed 3rd stage strength....

Cockburn stammered for a moment, unable to think of any words to describe the tall mechanical puppet in front of him.

A metal construct... or an elemental puppet... or a combination of the two?

However, without waiting for it to figure things out, the tall mechanical puppet driven by the human sorcerer roared and charged at it.

What do you mean, the ground shook? What do you mean, the sky is falling?

As soon as that mechanical puppet took action, the Eye Demon Kekbourn had a profound understanding of the true meaning of what they encompassed.

The Elemental Demon's 2-meter height was small in most metal constructs, but it still possessed a heavy body of up to 70 tons. As it unleashed its stride and charged towards the Eye Demon, each tread left a deep hole in the dark, solid dirt floor.

The beasts and demons that were unable to escape from its charging path in time were instantly trampled by its large footboard into blood paste and meat mud that covered the bottom of the pit, pattering on its sticky footboard and spilling all the way. As for the beasts that weren't trampled to death, they were also shaken to the ground by the violent turmoil, making it difficult to escape.

As it quickly rushed towards the Eye Demon, the Elemental Demonic Arm raised its right arm, and the elemental anthropomorphic large hand suddenly disappeared, revealing a black hole cannon mouth.

In the next second, intense fire elements converged inside the cannon mouth, condensing into a fist-sized compressed fireball, which then spun sharply along the spiral trajectory towards the Eye Demon.

It only took 0 or 3 seconds for the fireball to explode into a dazzling mass of fire on the energy force field outside of the Eye Demon's body.

The powerful flame shockwave was mostly blocked by the energy force field, but the residual energy fluctuations still pushed the Eye Demon's fleshy body further away.

510 degrees!

Eye Demon Cockburn's heart gripped violently.

One of the strange puppets sent by the opponent could reach 500 degrees with a casual strike. This... made Cockburn lose confidence in today's battle for the first time.

The subsequent battle was just as Kekbourn had predicted, plunging it into a bitter battle from the very beginning.

The Eye Demon's strength lay in its defenseless magic rays.

Seven or eight eye stalks simultaneously stirred* out magic rays of varying colors and attributes, each capable of inflicting extreme pain and suffering on the enemy.

The debilitating rays....

Blinding rays....

Chaos ray....

Fear ray....

Searing rays....

Freeze ray....

Hysteresis rays....

A mixture of various attack abilities and minuscule additions, although the power of each attack wasn't huge, stacked together, they could torment the enemy to the point of pain.

However, such magic rays were unprecedentedly awkward when facing an Elemental Magic Weapon.

The Elemental Magic Armament was directly immune to the negative additions of the mind class, and as for the 'insignificant' attack abilities, it couldn't even break through the energy force field outside of its body. With a miniature magical motion furnace as a power source, the Elemental Demonic Armament held up an energy force field with a defensive strength of 800 degrees, and there was no possibility of a lack of energy.

This also meant that if the Eye Demon Kekbourn couldn't come up with an attack higher than 800 degrees, it wouldn't be able to instantly break through the energy force field. And compared to the destruction and replenishment of energy, how could the Eye Demon's compound attack spell that miniature magical melting pot!

So as soon as the Elemental Demon Armament came out, it forced the Tier 3 Eye Demon to float around, and the attacks from both sides also hit each other's body shields with sparks and ripples. But unfortunately, it was clearly the Elemental Demon Armament's shields that were harder and its attacks sharper.

It was only two rounds of fighting, and it made Kekbourn's heart chill most of the way.

It couldn't hit the other party, while the other party was able to splinter and shatter the energy force field outside of its body. If it wasn't for the fact that it had many eye stalks and was quick to replenish them, it would have been ⊂running at this moment.

Although there was still a layer of fine scales outside the Eye Demon's body that could resist elemental and physical damage, that was, after all, the last layer of its defense. Therefore, Kekbourn didn't want to use his flesh body to harden against the enemy's ferocious artillery fire unless he had to.

Since he couldn't defeat this puppet, he would sneak up on its master!

It's not as if that human sorcerer's defense is as impregnable as this puppet's!

Using the serpentine eye stalk as a whip, smacking away two raging fireballs and freezing the ground beneath the puppet's feet with freezing rays, Kekeborn suddenly shuddered in his flesh and disappeared.

"Warning, warning, anomalous spatial fluctuations perceived... Detected and presumed to be precision teleportation... Teleportation coordinates: xxx, xxx..."

Two hundred meters away, Grim, who had been coldly watching like nothing, smiled indifferently, and with a blur of his body, he fled 50 meters away. And as soon as he left, three ten-meter-long eye stalks whistled past his original standing position.

As soon as the eye demon had gotten out of the interspatial layer and regained its vision, it locked onto Grim's position again.

The eight eye stalks floating beneath him split into three and fired a freezing ray, trying their best to delay the Elemental Demon Armament's charge, while the remaining five turned their cannons around and frantically attacked Grim.

While it was attacking Grim, it was actually in the opponent's burning field itself, and the fire elementals that had inexplicably gathered in the void turned into terrifying magical flames, searing the energy force field outside of its body into splinters.

The nearly 200 degrees of flame damage was not high, but it was constant magical damage, and even with Kekbourn's great strength being in it, it would feel a heavy pressure on its face.

If it was able to fight quickly, this amount of flame damage was really nothing. However, if the battle dragged on for too long, the 200 degrees per second flame damage was not to be underestimated by Kekbourn.

Without rushing to meet up with the Elemental Demonic Armament, Grim punched up his spirits and began his first same-level battle after advancing to Level 3.

At this moment, Grim's body was condensed with a pair of flame armor around him, wrapping his body completely within it.

And right now, he didn't look like a sorcerer, but like a powerful flame warrior, wearing flame armor and holding a flaming shield and flame spear, dodging left and right with ease and instantly counterattacking under the Eye Demon Kekbourn's intense magic ray saving shots.

In Grim's shining blue pupils, the magic rays coming in like a net were scattered towards him like a large net. Although the rays seemed to be airtight, there were still gaps between them that could be traversed.

If Grim had Mary's exceptional agility and extraordinary reflexes, he would naturally be able to stroll leisurely through the rain of bullets without any difficulty. His current agility was clearly not enough to drive his body to make such difficult moves, and he could only rely on the tiny flamethrower engines hidden throughout his flame armor to allow him to quickly dodge away from the Eye Demon's attack zone.

His immediate counterattack was a flaming spear formed from the shaping of the flames, supplemented every now and then by some 3rd level Raging Fireball. As for the more powerful attacking Meteor Blast, it was directly abandoned by Grim due to the long spell chanting time.

As soon as the battle between the two sides began, Cockburn immediately felt a heavy pressure!
