Age of Adepts

0916 Chapter 0916 - Bloodline Transformation

"First option, synthetic bloodline...bloodline reconciliation potion!"

At this stage in the development of the Wizard World, there was research on bloodline talent that had reached a kind of peak. It was just that most of the research was monopolized and blocked by large sorcerer forces, and the outside world was not aware of it.

However, this blockade and monopoly was only for low and middle ranked sorcerers, and a 3rd ranked sorcerer like Grim already had too many ways to access these taboo contents.

Not to mention the three major sorcerer powers, even the Scatterland Tallinn in the middle of the continent had numerous sorcerer organizations and powers that were known for their synthetic bloodlines. Like the Holopal family in the Thousand Needles Forest region, the Gulletta family in the White Valley Riverlands, and the Cordwin family in the Floating Harbor....

These families, with their rich reserves of knowledge in bloodline synthesis, had cultivated a number of arrogant and powerful sorcerers, and were also a powerful force in their respective regions. It was just that synthetic bloodlines were not the right path after all, and the more powerful creatures' bloodlines they incorporated, the more power they brought to the synthetic bloodlines, and the lower the other's development potential.

Almost all Synthetic Bloodlines faced a thorny problem, the loss of the power to improve and advance on their own!

Want a boost? OK, the only way to do that is to fuse stronger, more remarkable bloodlines. If they couldn't find and collect it, then their strength wouldn't improve in the slightest.

Once they embarked on the path of synthesizing bloodlines, it was also a sign that they could only go further and further down this rugged path, with no chance of ever turning back. Until they made themselves look neither human nor ghost, the strange bloodline made them lose their ability to breed normal bloodline descendants.

It is said that the offspring of those with a synthetic bloodline are almost invariably monsters!

The Wizard World was able to find so many strange exotic beasts, mutants, and polluting beasts...absolutely no less than the work of these bloodline synthesizers.

In order to mitigate the many side effects caused by synthetic bloodlines, these bloodline witches could only regularly take bloodline reconciliation potions to alleviate the conflicts between the turnip bloodlines.

Therefore, Chip's first proposal was to purchase a batch of Bloodline Reconciliation Potions to alleviate the inherent conflict between the Fire Dragon bloodline and Meryl's own elemental talent. But then it would be possible for Meryl to mutate into a strange creature in half-human, half-dragon form.

And that's probably how the draconians were acquired!

Grim was clearly not impressed with this scenario.

What was so powerful about the Fire Dragon bloodline? The strength lies in a strong and robust body, exceptional magic resistance, and a natural affinity with the element of fire.

What is so powerful about the human shaman's gift? Powerful on top of a wise and profound knowledge base, and an incomparably intelligent mind.

If this fusion would damage Meryl's intelligence, then the value of the fusion would plummet and become a rib. Rather than transforming Meryl into a half-human, half-dragon monster, it would be more profitable to just take the female fire dragon as a magic pet.

So after some simple thinking, Grim quickly gave up on this bloodline synthesis option.

"The second option, bloodline devouring..."

"Replacing Meryl's original bloodline completely with the Fire Dragon bloodline, allowing one side to devour the other, thus creating a new stable bloodline inheritance..."

"Advantage: Meryl will be able to perfectly inherit all the inheritance of a 3rd order fire dragon; disadvantage: Meryl will deviate from the wizard's camp and lean towards the dragon bloodline..."

This solution also falls short of Grim's ideal needs.

He didn't want to kill a Philippa and then create a female fire dragon named Meryl.

The wizard route still couldn't be lost!

"The third option, Bloodline Plus..."

"Use the fire dragon blood to transform and modulate Meryl's body in a gradual manner to adapt and take in the fire dragon blood, thus creating a kind of balance between the human body and the fire dragon blood... Eventually, the foreign bloodline will merge with the host in the form of sorcery empowerment..."

"This type of bloodline addition can be referred to in relation to the Dragon Pulse Warlock..."

Grim narrowed his eyes and couldn't help but start thinking seriously about the sorcery knowledge associated with bloodline addition.

This method he was actually most familiar with.

This was because Grim's current life form belonged to the bloodline addition.

He has a human body and the associated natural expertise, but to the greatest extent possible, he has undergone the dual elementalization of flesh and blood and spirit. It could be politely said that as long as Grim was willing to discard this last lag of his human body, he could easily transform into a fire elemental creature.

But then, his original body would be rejected by the Sorcerer's World, and he would eventually have to be exiled to a foreign realm like the Fire Elemental Plane.

Therefore, the current Grim was still a human body with a sorcerer's bloodline, and the fire elemental transformation had only become a sorcery skill for him in disguise. Although, this would reduce some of the power of flame sorcery, it allowed him to retain what was most precious to the sorcerer.

From this point of view, it was understandable to have Meryl take a similar path to his bloodline addition!

Once he had made up his mind, Grim quickly drew up a series of plans for Meryl's bloodline transformation.

During the first week, Meryl became a huge eater, needing to eat thirty pounds of fire dragon meat every four hours at a time. Thus, over the course of a day, Meryl would be forced by Grim to swallow several times her own body weight in fire dragon meat.

All of this fire dragon meat had obviously undergone special treatment by Grim, soaking it in a voodoo medicinal liquid, which not only promoted Meryl's quenching and absorption of the essence of the fire element, but also enhanced Meryl's affinity for the fire element. Within these medicinal liquids, Grim even blended the few remaining Flame Essences into it, becoming something in Meryl's belly.

And all Meryl needed to do every day was to meditate feverishly, used to accelerate the absorption of the flame essence imbibed in the fire dragon's flesh. Often, before the last fire dragon meat was fully digested, the next feeding process had already begun.

Each time, Meryl was livid as she looked at the fire dragon meat that had been cut into huge chunks of meat in front of her, and took out the spirit of desperately opening her mouth wide as if she were returning home, stabbing the knife hard into her throat. Even if you choke to the point of rolling your eyes, you have to swallow them straight down your neck.

The rich flame essence inside the fire dragon meat steak couldn't stop spreading out, causing her skin to turn fiery red all over her body, and the violent and ferocious fire elemental particles rushing around in her body, impacting her original earth elemental circulatory system in a miserable way.

Thus, after being tormented by Grim's crazy feeding plan for seven whole days, Meryl was able to enter the second stage.

It must be said, Grim's plan is a bit crazy and inhumane, but the change in Meryl's physique is obvious.

Before eating, the elemental affinity spectrum in Meryl's body couldn't see the fire elemental affinity at all. But after eating, Fire Affinity surprisingly jumped to the second ranked affinity attribute of Meryl, almost equal to Earth Affinity.

In the second stage, Grim transformed Meryl's bloodline, cutting open her chest, making a small incision in her heart, and transplanting that fire dragon bloodline rune seal into it.

Such an operation was a breeze for the witches, simple as it was.

After the transplant was completed, Grim took out a bottle of the weakened version of Moon Water and slowly dumped it inside Meryl's abdominal cavity. As the turquoise life fluid washed over the heart, the small incision on the slowly leaping heart quickly healed. The dissected chest cavity also didn't need any stitches to stitch the flesh and blood together, and after the blood was gently washed away with the moon water, a glowing, flat skin was revealed.

The entire operation was performed without anesthesia, and Meryl looked calm as she watched the teacher's entire operation with the aid of a water mirror.

After the surgery was completed, Grim placed his hand on Meryl's chest, silently sensing the blood runes sealed within the other's heart and whispered, "Are you ready?"

Meryl gently nodded, "Don't worry, Sensei, I'm ready!"

"Yes!" Grim promised, and his fingers made a virtual stroke out of thin air, condensing a rune composed of crimson flames that slowly disappeared into Meryl's body.

Affected by the flame rune, the seal on the outside of the bloodline rune inside Meryl's heart loosened a little, and some of the Fire Dragon's bloodline breath permeated out and was quickly absorbed by Meryl's rapidly pulsing heart.

"Ah..."

Meryl, who had looked calm a moment ago, had blood red skin all over her body at this moment, filled with blood spots that had permeated from the blood stirring. And her slender, bare body suddenly arched up high, opening her mouth to spit out a thin bright yellow flame.

In just an instant, the flame essence inspired by the Fire Dragon's bloodline burned the blood in her body until it boiled, and also burned most of her body organs until they were half cooked.

With a gentle grasp of Grim's flat right hand, the flame rune floated out, even as the restless blood rune in Meryl's heart subsided.

Meryl's painful muzzle was now gulping down a bottle of healing potion as she side-stepped, then closed her eyes and slowly waited for the organs in her body to be repaired. Thousands of wounds in the stimulation and repair of the healing agent gradually intact as before, but the terrible pain of the flame burning body is deeply etched into Meryl's mind and soul.

Half a quarter of an hour later, feeling that her body and spirit had calmed down, Meryl opened her eyes and firmly nodded at Grim.

Thus, the flame rune once again failed to enter her body, once again triggering the agitation of the bloodline rune.

"Ah..."

Meryl's suppressed and patient shrieks of pain lingered and haunted the lab for a long time, her bare body already as red as a rose, while the surface of her skin was densely covered with large drops of sweat.

Despite the buffer from the first time, the searing pain that spread across her body and limbs this time still deeply tormented Meryl. Her delicate body curled into a ball, her aching muscles spasming, her body trembling all around, and her hoarse cries continued for a long time in the chamber.

This time, it took Meryl a full quarter of an hour to regain her composure.

And the eyes she stole glances at the flame rune suspended in front of her were also filled with dread and shrinking.

However, the idea of becoming stronger was clearly more appealing to Meryl than these pains.

Thus, after barely calming down, Meryl gritted her teeth and nodded to her teacher once more.

In the next second, a miserable, painful roar stirred....
