Age of Adepts

0923 Chapter 0923 - Otherworldly Secret War

The silver dragon's amber-shaped pupils couldn't help but narrow and stare firmly at the visitor.

"Who is your Excellency, I don't know how to address you?"

After the flames dissipated, Grim landed steadily on top of the huge dragon head of the Magic Arms Puppet Dragon.

There were two raised metal dragon horns in the middle of the dragon's head, and in front of the horns was a small platform that covered an area of twenty square meters. And Grim was standing steadily on top of the platform, looking at the other party with a smile on his face.

A 3rd rank human sorcerer....

Without using any detection spells, Silver Dragon quickly judged the strength and basic attribute of the other party by just relying on the layers of flames that overflowed when the other party came across the sky.

On the other side, Silver Dragon even detected the smell of the Dragon Soul Curse. This meant that there were quite a few dragons that had died at the hands of this human sorcerer, otherwise the Dragon Soul Curse that was entwined on his body would never have reached such a strong level.

Barely able to suppress the anger that surged up within him, the Silver Dragon squinted his eyes tightly and replied loudly, "I am Aldreth of the Silver Dragon Clan, and it is my territory that you are treading on right now, and it is my people that you are killing. Therefore, I have the qualifications and authority to come over and ask, what exactly do you guys want to do?"

"So it's Lord Aldreth!" The smile on Grim's face grew even wider, "My name is Grim, from the Wizarding World, and this trip here is for..."

At this point, Grim spoke with a sudden lowering of his voice, and the remaining half of the sentence suddenly became faint flies.

The silver dragon was startled, and before he could open his mouth to probe, his demeanor suddenly changed dramatically.

"Bastards...you damned wizards..."

At some point, a red blood shadow had actually lurked in the dark shadow beneath it, and was now crashing through the ground, rushing towards Alfred with lightning speed.

Although it was a bit unprepared for the sudden attack, but how could a rank 3 Silver Dragon be unprepared for this? Thus with a flash of silver light in the sky, the silver dragon's massive body disappeared from its spot and appeared a hundred meters away on the side.

But as soon as the silver dragon Alfred flashed over, he felt the elements flip above his head, and a large fireball smashed squarely on top of its backbone, exploding into a huge fireball.

Extremely hot streams of flame gushed out from inside the shattered fireball, almost instantly baking the dragon scales near the landing spot red and white, even the flesh and blood protected by the dragon scales were also scorched and sizzled.

Alfred no longer cared about face and dignity, its silver scales wrapped slender dragon wings flapped rapidly, its entire body was like a silver line in the void, drawing an extremely graceful arc, just right to dodge that magic weapon puppet dragon spewed out a milky white pillar of light in the sky.

With swift flying speed and unparalleled flying skills, the silver dragon Alfred was able to dodge two more up-and-down attacks from Mary and Grim in one breath.

"You bastards... have no dignity or honor as witches... you'll just have to wait to perish here..." while fleeing frantically, the silver dragon put down harsh words, the resonant roar of the dragon could be clearly heard even from a distance of ten miles.

A flame exploded in the air, and Grim's tall body slowly emerged, while Mary also flapped her bat wings to his side.

"The Silver Dragon is worthy of being the one who is known for his speed among the dragons, and is just as tough as the Wind Dragon. It seems it's hard for just the two of us to leave this guy behind..." said Grim as he distantly examined the back of the far-flung Silver Dragon, shaking his head and sighing.

Mary also raised her arm, looking at her right hand that had turned into a blood red hand and claw, and laughed lightly, "I'm afraid it's already having a hard time with you giving it a fireball and me giving it a claw... You're really planning to leave it behind!"

That's actually what's normal!

With the toughness of the dragon's body and the strength of its elemental power, it was an individual of exceptional battle prowess among most creatures of its class. Under normal circumstances, a 3rd level dragon would have no problem easily dealing with two or three human witches.

Today, one of the main reasons why Silver Dragon Alfred was at a disadvantage to Grim and Mary was because of Grim's 4th ranked Demon Puppet Dragon.

The 4th stage Demonic Puppet Dragon might not be able to fly, and its running speed wasn't that fast, but its attacks were too sharp!

Even those 4th stage elemental sorcerers couldn't match the strength of the attacks of the Demonic Puppet Dragon.

No matter how strong the human body is, no matter how strong the training and the elemental talent, it can't be compared to the super powerful magical furnace in the chest and abdomen of the Demon Armor Puppet Dragon. No matter how thick the blood vessels in the human body are, they can't possibly be compared to the spacious energy ducts of the Demon Armor Puppet Dragon that can run a carriage.

Therefore, when the 3rd Order Silver Dragon was tangling with Grim and Mary, half of his mind still had to be on the Magic Armament Puppet Dragon's body. That's why it took a hard hit from the two and could only put down a harsh word and flee.

With a silver dragon of such speed, Mary might be able to catch up, but it would be hard to leave it behind. And Grim might be able to keep it, but it would be hard to keep up with its speed.

Therefore, the two of them could only regretfully watch that 3rd level silver dragon Alfred furiously fleeing away.

But the two of them didn't care too much about this.

Anyway, they would soon arrive at this silver dragon's lair, and then they would pound it straight into its lair and see if it would defend or not!

...................

Silver Dragon Alfred's lair was in a place called Storm's Peak.

It was an isolated mountain that towered above the clouds.

The surrounding terrain was not strangely dangerous, but it was bizarre to the point where it rose up flat.

The peak was a thousand feet high, rugged and steep, and it was almost impossible to find a passage to climb up.

The Silver Dragon Alfred's lair was built on the top of the cliff, almost completely isolated from the rest of the world.

In such a region, it would naturally be difficult for the Demonic Puppet Dragons and Goblin Chariots to climb up, but they couldn't stop the cruising mothership.

Leaving the metal convoy at the bottom of the mountain to hold on, Grim and a group of Crimson Sorcerers ascended to the top of the mountain in the cruiser mothership. At the top of this high cliff, the air was thin, the wind was bitterly cold, and tumbling, steaming clouds could be seen everywhere, making it difficult for ordinary people to survive here.

Once on top of the cliff, Grim frowned slightly.

It was too quiet here, apparently the silver dragon had already run away.

Looking away to a huge cave not far away, Grim turned his head to look behind him at Billis.

Billis, the insect wizard, would take a step forward, and suddenly thousands of black beetles sprang out of the black robe beneath him, rushing into the cavern like a black tide.

A moment later, the black cavern shook and trembled, and the roar of some elemental martyrdom could be heard faintly.

Insect Witch Billis grunted and whispered, "There's nothing left inside the Dragon Cave, but there are a lot of elemental traps and magical devices left behind. It seems that guy is trying to make us take a small loss here..."

The Worm Wizard Billis had lost about twenty percent of the insect swarm he had sent out, which also made him look a bit grim.

"Hmph, leaving some traps behind just to make us retreat knowingly? Well, inform Gunga and dig this mountain up for me!"

A few moments later, when Grim and the others boarded the cruiser mothership just away from the peak, they saw the towering lone peak shudder violently, then slowly collapse in a great, sky-shattering roar.

The news that the summit of the storm had been forcibly toppled by the witches quickly spread around the area.

Those who hadn't understood the strength of the Sorcerer's Expeditionary Force in the past were completely awakened this time.

Even a rank 3 dragon lord had to look out for the wind and couldn't keep his lair, so the strength of this group of enemies could be imagined!

So for the rest of the journey, there would be no more of that unsighted guy who dared to mess with the convoy.

Moreover, the dragons were not stupid, based on the course of action of the Sorcerer Expeditionary Army, they quickly judged that the other party's target was pointed directly at the territory of the 4th rank Dragon Lord Toriel.

This... was what made them so surprised and suspicious!

For what? A group of human sorcerers of no more than 2nd or 3rd rank dared to challenge a 4th rank dragon lord?

That's...unbelievable too!

Could it be that the other side is relying on that strange metal dragon?

Thinking that they had found the key to the problem, the dragons that had been driven away from their homes whirled together and began to each use their own means to find out the strength of the metal dragon.

No dragons would be willing to risk their lives to investigate personally, but they would still be willing to send just some dragon guards and high-ranking dragon worshippers!

Thus, under the call of the dragon lords and the high bounty offered, half of the Lance Plane was boiling. One by one, powerful draconic warriors, indigenous creatures with strange means, flocked to the Sorcerer Expeditionary Army and began to frequently hit the metal convoy.

But don't tell me, these strange people who had gathered half of the Lance Plane really had all sorts of strange means.

Some guys are good at concealing the breath of life, ambushing next to the goblin convoy's camp and launching sudden raids when the goblins come to the water source to get water, and for a while, they also brought a lot of casualties to the goblin convoy.

But the goblin convoy's high-density magic weapon patrol also caused heavy losses to these sneak attackers. On average, killing one goblin cost the indigenous elite more than a dozen lives.

And some guys who were good at administering poison had also tried to poison the goblins' drinking water, but unfortunately the goblin convoy apparently had a very well-developed testing mechanism inside and soon discovered their plot. With the apothecary accompanying the team, there was no way that any goblins would be poisoned to death.

After all, compared to the apothecaries cultivated by the Sorcerer's World System, it was these poisoners in the Lance Dimension who were more like a bunch of witch doctors!

The knowledge and means of both sides were simply not on the same level, and after a secret battle without meeting, the pharmacist of the witch team managed to beat back the poisoning attack of the Lance natives.

And that managed to alert Grim, so next it was the turn of the wizards to start putting out the poison!
