Age of Adepts

Chapter 0938 - Dragon Clan Great Lords.

The process had a few hiccups, but the outcome was satisfactory.

Alice had been rescued and brought back to the Tower of Destiny by Xuef to rest and recover, while Mary was also recovering quickly after enjoying a blood feast. Even Ames and Aretina, who acted as tormentors, were able to recover quickly from their physical injuries after a period of intense medical treatment and healing.

Facing a Class 3 dragon that was fighting back desperately, even if the combined strength of everyone present was several times greater than that of the opponent, they would inevitably be in a mess.

However, after this battle, the attitude of the crowd was clearly different from before.

When Grim was still a 2nd stage Fire Witch, the two 3rd stage dragons as well as the 2nd stage Oliven were always shady to him and did things out of hand. One of the most fundamental reasons was that Grim was not strong enough to handle these otherworldly and powerful creatures at the time.

And now Grim had managed to become a Tier 3 Fire Witch, with a powerful Tier 3 Female Vampire and Elemental Magic Arms at his side, and more importantly, he had a Magic Arms Puppet Dragon that could 'tie' with a Tier 4 Dragon.

It was only under the convergence of these hard conditions that these wakey-wakey guys finally put away their petty thoughts and began to seriously consider and obey Grim's orders.

So, in the end, the only factor that could make these alien powerhouses return to their hearts was strength!

Irrefutably powerful!

"Olivine, you saw that shadow dragon earlier, how about it, it's always better for you than that water dragon, right?" Grim asked offhandedly to the female assassin.

Hearing Grim's question, Oliven's overflowing mental waves were a bit shaken.

"Are you... really sure you want to give me this complete Shadow Dragon? I...I'm sure I'll complete a smooth promotion to Level 3, and I'll also gain some powerful Shadow aspect skills!"

"Then it's yours!" Grim was never stingy when it came to treating his 'own people'.

Changing into human form, Ames and Aretina, who were receiving the Crimson Witch treatment, had a look at Oliven with disgust. At this moment, they had figured out the true identity of the guy dressed as a black-clad female assassin.

Out of racial instinct, they loathed and hated this Ollivine from the depths of their souls. If it wasn't for the fact that they were concerned about Grim's face, they would have already transformed into a dragon form and sprayed a mouthful of dragon's breath on this female Dragon Eater.

But looking at how generous and lavish Grim's shot was, the two dragons couldn't help but feel a little thumping.

"Grim... "Ames hesitated for a moment and swallowed, "This time... we... seem to have captured quite a few... giant dragons..."

When it came to 'we', Ames actually blushed in a rare way.

It couldn't be helped, in the several large battles in the Lance Plane, the two Tier 3 dragons had too many worries and barely made any effort. If Ames and Aretina were able to give their all in the Northern Wilderness battle, I'm afraid that none of the five incoming Tier 3 dragons would be able to escape.

Therefore, when 'bargaining' with Grim, Ames was especially guilty of being clumsy.

Seeing his 'mate's' wimpy appearance, the emerald beauty dragon Aretina who was standing by the side doing her work pushed him away and stepped forward herself.

"Lord Grim, we would like to ask for a number of small dragons to grow our ranks, you see?"

Grim narrowed his eyes and smiled faintly.

"As I recall, you seem to have eight green dragons under your belt already!"

Aretina said glumly, "They're just green dragons, and they'll never be able to match pure-blooded dragons in terms of battle strength and bloodline. In the Lance Plane, these green dragons with low battle strength are very discriminated against!"

Grim smiled slightly, it seemed that the theory of descent was also very marketable within the dragon race.

Just when Eretina was already dead in the matter and filled with sorrow, Grim suddenly spoke again.

"Eretina, if you suddenly had a bunch of pure-blooded dragons under your command, with your qualifications you could also become the Grand Lord of the Dragon Race, right!"

The two dragons were shaken, and Ames rushed forward to explain.

"Grim, don't you dare take it personally! We didn't come to ask for those little dragons to make another mountain, but... but we just couldn't bear to see them slaughtered at such a young age..."

Aretina's face went white as well.

"No, no, no..." explained Grim with a smile, "I think you've misunderstood! I'm not worried about your ulterior motives, but I really want to nurture the two of you into a great dragon lord!"

Both dragons looked at Grim with a startled look.

Aretina's breathing was ragged, and her face was starting to flush.

"You... you want to... foster us... to be... the Grand Lords of the Dragons ?" Ams retorted in surprise.

"With your qualifications and strength, you guys can't bring your true abilities into play even if you're stuck in the Wizard World every day. Therefore, if you guys are willing, you can totally recruit subordinates within the 1st and 2nd rank dragons captured this time. Whichever one is willing to yield and sign a contract of allegiance can return with you to the Lance Plane."

"I think by then, with the original eight green dragons and a new batch of pure-blooded dragon underlings, at least within the group of 3rd stage dragons, you are fully qualified to be called the Great Lords of the Dragon Race and become the overlords of the side of Lance's Plane."

Both dragons held their breath at the same time, mulling over the new and hot words 'Grand Lords of the Dragon Clan' in their hearts over and over again, their inner turmoil and trepidation intertwined so much that it was hard to run through it completely.

This time, the Crimson Family captured more than thirty dragons, those solid 2nd stage dragons, they didn't dare to say. But those 1st stage little dragons, they were all only just adults and hadn't yet experienced the hardships of the bit, so with a little scare and appeasement, the likelihood of pulling them in was simply not too high.

I'm afraid that turning into a giant dragon and walking proudly in front of them would be enough to make most of the frightened little dragons cry out for help.

The thought of that crowd of dragons worshipping and bowing down to them was hot enough to fry eggs inside Ames and Aretina.

"Really...really?" Ames could hardly believe his ears.

Whirling around, he bared his teeth in a snowy cry of pain as Aretina twisted a hard hand around his waist.

"It looks real!" Aretina finally nodded affirmatively.

"Not only will I allow you to take a number of dragons with you, but... you will also be able to form an alliance with the Eternal Capital and our Crimson Family after you occupy a territory in the Lance Plane. You can let it out to the public, and as long as whichever dragon lord chooses to join you, you will never be attacked by our Crimson Family again!"

The pupils of the two dragons' eyes lit up, and they both couldn't help but begin to bow their heads to ponder this suggestion of Grim's.

One had to know that the entire Lance Plane was home to tens of thousands of large and small dragons.

They were each scattered in every corner of the Lance Plane, and except for a portion of them clinging to the wings of a certain powerful high ranked dragon, the rest of the dragons never came and went freely.

Even those 4th ranked dragon leaders could only drive one or two hundred direct subordinate dragons.

And for a rank 3 dragon like Ames, being able to gather a dozen or so dragons around him would already be considered a huge force. If... if everything that Grim had promised him was true, then Ames could expect that his name as the Great Dragon Lord might really be fulfilled from this.

A 3rd rank dragon lord whose own power surpassed that of a 4th rank dragon....

Ames licked his lips frequently, and once again couldn't help but feel a pang for an unreal word.

"Don't you worry, leave the Lance bits to me! I promise to pull up a huge army of dragons for you, and if any little one doesn't behave, I'll bring a dragon to fight it ya..." patting his chest, Ames made a bold statement.

Grim's lips moved slightly, as if he was communicating with someone in the distance using sorcery. After a moment, it was only then that he turned to Ames, "You may go now. I've already greeted Meryl, so you can go now and recruit those dragons!"

Ames and Aretina couldn't care less about continuing to heal their wounds and almost rushed out of the Wizarding Hall in a race to the front.

Seeing the two dragons panic away, Mary strode to Grim's side and said curiously, "Why are you being so nice to these two dragons? Watch out for them to grow up and bite you back!"

"The Lance bit is unstable..." sighed Grim leisurely, "If we let the brain monster continue to grow, I'm worried that it's going to shady us at some crucial point. So, let's help Eternal Capital pull some hate, find it another opponent to play against, and try to suppress the other side's ambitions!"

This matter could not be left unworried by Grim.

The Crimson Family's foundation was still too weak, and it had only occupied two secondary planes so far.

The Goblin Plane supplied the Crimson Family with a large amount of metal deposits and goblins suitable to exist as mechanics, and belonged to the low level of resource scarcity. On the other hand, the Lance Sector was the only resource sector in the Crimson Family's hands, and apart from the basic mineral, animal and plant resources, the most attractive resource in it was undoubtedly the Dragon Resource.

It could be politely said that it was the constant output of the dragon resources from the Lance Seat that had supported the Crimson Family's current rapid development. If this resource was cut off, the Crimson Family would immediately fall into a situation where it could not sustain itself.

Therefore, as the Crimson Clan Chief, Grim had to think in advance and begin to lay out and plan for the Crimson Clan's future.

A lone tree!

The bits controlled by the Crimson Family were still too few.

At the very least, the current two secondary planes still couldn't support the great ideals and grand ambitions in Grim's heart.

Perhaps, it was time for another round of expansion for the Crimson Family!
